Background:
Sergei was born to a Sczarni woman who had a tryst with a beautiful Elf Hunter wandering into Varisian lands. They’re affair did not last long as both were wandering people and both went their separate ways. Weeks later she found out she was pregnant with his child. She kept the baby naming him Sergei so that he would better fit in with the Sczarni among whom he was to be raised. He became part of their clan and participated jovially in all of the songs and dancing as well as the cons and tricks becoming very fond of finding the next mark for the clan. In the Varisian wilderness there are many dangers and while traveling. His caravan was attacked by unknown beasts in the dark. He joined with a few of his clansmen to find the creatures and hunt them down. They caught up to the group of bugbears wandering down from the mountains. The rest of his group returned to the Sczarni caravan while Sergei decided to continue the hunt for adventure and possibly, his heritage. This first hunt was the first taste of the hunter’s blood within him and he couldn’t resist the call of adventure. He began to track various game not having much luck and ending up in Sandpoint. Appearance:
Sergei’s jet black hair is kept shorter than most other half elves keep it though it’s still long enough to cover his ears when he needs to pass as human. It helps him to blend in a bit more among his Sczarni family. He is a bit too tall and skinny to be a human but with the right clothes and armor it can be tough to tell. He keeps his cloak handy in order to sneak away or hide in the shadows when on the hunt. His bright blue eyes, pale skin and dark hair give away his mixed heritage. Personality: Sergei is a gregarious and easy to like. He enjoys being friendly to almost anyone as he is open to all. The Sczarni who raised him have taught him that all people are worth getting to know because everyone has something that can benefit you. Some may call his outgoing nature a bit of a con and sometimes it is but overall he just likes people and humans specifically. He doesn’t know much of his elf heritage and thus leans heavily on his Sczarni ideals. As he adventures perhaps he will learn more of his heritage and more of the elven tradition changing the way he interacts with others. Being fleet of foot, he loves to dance and sing in taverns just to have fun and unwind. When it comes to business and the hunt he is always focused but when it is time for fun, it’s time to party. |
