Poor Sebastian. The eggplant paladin never really got offf the ground ...

What are you talking about? Wyverns are too cool. They've got badass poison stingers and everything.

Now, don't get me wrong. Drakes are cool, too, I guess, in their own way, but wyverns ain't nothing like emo kids.

Wyverns are the Jerry Browns of the monster world: tired, wimpy, old, and lacking relevance

Fifth-level characters who want to feel like big, bad dragonslayers, that's who.

Pffftb. Drakes are better to fight anyway. Wyverns just look stupid. Much like emo kids at a Cumbies at three am

Edit: ninjaed by a nekkid badgah!

F&#~ paladins! Lousy moralizing do-goodnik nanny wannabes! And f@~~ wyverns too. Useless mob, who the f+!$ would ever wanna fight one? It's like the Urkel of genus Draconia

Sebastian tenses at the barking Inernal muttering amongst the obvious demons

"They look as if they were made to cause suffering in others."

Sebastian's hand twitches towards his greatsword, but he thinks better of it for now.

Ready for action

Despite a niggling feeling of foreboding in the back of his mind, Sebastian grabs the small halfling

"Away then, to adventure!"

Moff DM wrote:

"How did 'agents of chaos' figure out how to fix the orrery?" He seems rather puzzled at this.

I'm willing to answer questions and discuss things, but I figure you have about 4 rounds before something happens which may cut some conversation short.

Bumping for great justice! Having time-compression issues, so I'll make this short..

Sebastian wipes the worm ichor from his new sword.

"We are not all agents of chaos, '5'" He replies, a bit huffily. "I myself am a stalwart defender of Law and Goodness."

He looks at the cog in E's hands

"What a strange thing. A camouflaged cog to disable the orrey that generates the physical laws of the multiverse. Devious! The minions of evil and chaos are a tricky lot. Now the question is, why? What sinister purpose did this sabotage further?"

Sebastian sprints towards the huge abberation, geatsword raised. Lightning arcs from it, attaching to the metal of the giant orrey.

"Gods save the right!"

Moving 25' to P21 and attacking.

1d20 + 16 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 16 + 2 = 311d20 + 11 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 11 + 2 = 302d6 + 13 + 1d6 ⇒ (6, 3) + 13 + (6) = 281d6 + 6 + 1d6 ⇒ (6) + 6 + (5) = 17

Gonna post this. If the worm should be slain before Sebastian's turn, have him continue on to the BBEG

Sebastian shrugs off the minor wound and faces the worm

"Thou hast met thy death, agent of chaos!"

1d20 + 16 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 16 + 2 = 241d20 + 11 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 11 + 2 = 142d6 + 13 + 1d6 ⇒ (6, 5) + 13 + (1) = 251d6 + 6 + 1d6 ⇒ (3) + 6 + (5) = 14

Ugh

Sebastian looks at Vissago.

"I think we need to defeat the foe before we can flee, Vissago. The others can help you move 5, I will see to the monster."

Sebastian begins to move to engage the large tentacled foe

I am very busy this weekend, but I think Sebastian should more likely face up to snakey and put him down. With that in mind, I will take my delayed action and move to the BBEG.

Vassago El-Vecchio wrote:

Vassago is at a loss as to what to exactly to do with "5", but he does not feel that they should leave him here.

Sebastian, I will need your help. We may have to drag it out of here with us. Where to will largely depend on ... <sighs> ...E.

He yells to be heard. E! WE NEED TO GET OFF THIS ORREY BEFORE WE GO DOWN WITH IT. GET US OUT OF HERE! EITHER BACK TO SWALK'KUHR OR NEARER TO THAT KEY! FOCUS!

At this moment, I delay any further movement/combat action and stay to the side of "5" to determine what can be done ... in case something does come to mind. I need to contain resources.

Sebastian nods and runs to 5 and Vassago.

"I am here to lend you my strength Vassago"

I will delay my action (other than approaching 5) and I will wait to see what is needed.

Moff, do you prefer people post in sequence, or should I put up an action and you just sort them out by occurance?

Sebastian shrugs off the minor wounding and concentrates on the foe

"Justice always has its due!"

1d20 + 16 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 16 + 2 = 331d20 + 11 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 11 + 2 = 322d6 + 13 + 1d6 ⇒ (5, 2) + 13 + (1) = 211d6 + 6 + 1d6 ⇒ (3) + 6 + (1) = 10

Sebastian whirls his new greatsword, a look of wrath set firmly upon his face. The room has shrunk to just him and the foe

1d20 + 16 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 16 + 2 = 281d20 + 11 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 11 + 2 = 152d6 + 13 + 1d6 ⇒ (1, 3) + 13 + (1) = 182d6 + 6 + 1d6 ⇒ (3, 5) + 6 + (4) = 18

Better, I suppose...

I'm going to be pretty busy this weekend, so I am going to just drop my rolls here. Insert when neccesary.

A holy light begins to shine in Sebastian's eyes.

"Foul malefactor! Taste the cleansing power of Good!"

Activating Smite Evil. +3/+14 first attack, +3/+7 afterwards until BBEG is dead. +2 bonus to AC as well

1d20 + 16 ⇒ (8) + 16 = 241d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 162d6 + 20 + 1d6 ⇒ (2, 1) + 20 + (2) = 252d6 + 13 + 1d6 ⇒ (6, 3) + 13 + (3) = 25

Really? *sigh*

Edit: If there is a flanking bonus still, add +2 to above rolls

Sebastian faces the serpentine horror

"Fie agent of Chaos! You will rue the day you came against my blade! HAVE AT THEE!"

Attacks:

1d20 + 13 ⇒ (9) + 13 = 221d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 122d6 + 6 + 1d6 ⇒ (4, 2) + 6 + (4) = 162d6 + 6 + 1d6 ⇒ (2, 4) + 6 + (6) = 18

Sebastian's new sword ally crackles with blue lightning as he slices at the multi-headed foe

Edit: Looking at the map, I will have to take a five-foot step to engage the enemy. That might invalidate my second attack. If so, just disregard the second roll

Moff DM wrote:
"Unfortunately, it will not acknowledge me. I will need to send a command down the ranks. Shall I go do that?"

Sebastian nods

"I would consider it a logical thing to do Five. There are forces at work in your realm that are obviously beyond the normal scope of what is rational for Mechanus. This modron might be rogue, or another disguissed being feigning to be a modron, trusting in your faith that no illusion is possible here. "

A Diplomacy roll: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (18) + 13 = 31

s what that Modron doing part of your plan, Ser Five? It seems chaotic and destructive to my eyes. Perhaps it is malfunctioning?"
"I'm not sure I understand. Isn't it simply trying to fix the Orrery?"

I am not sure Five, but it looks to my eye that he is deliberately sabotaging it. Could you call him over to explain what he is doing? Perhaps I am wrong, but if I am not..

Trying to cathc up a bit.

Sebastian looks at the halted orrey map.

"Absolutely magnificent! Ser Five, this is truly a masterpiece of cartography. Does it show everything on the planes?"

When Ra's mentions the modron acting strange, Sebastian turns to Five again.

"Is what that Modron doing part of your plan, Ser Five? It seems chaotic and destructive to my eyes. Perhaps it is malfunctioning?"

Moff DM wrote:
"Hidden...where? And, again, why are you here? What is your purpose in Regulus?"

"If I knew where the foe was hid I would challenge him to open combat. We are here to discover who is causing these problems and stop their perfidy. I think going to the Cathedral to investigate is a good first start."

Still in flux here. If I disappear for any length of time, feel free to take whatever rolls are needed for Sebastian

Moff DM wrote:
He is surprised and startled that you said that he is lying. "If these beings were capable of actually changing shapes to look like modrons," he looks around at your group, "I have difficulty believing that you would have been able to have dispatched them so easily. And illusion spells have no effect here -- unless one of you would like to prove this wrong..."

After the illusion spell works Sebastian looks grim

"It would seem that dark things are afoot in this place. Somehow, creatures of chaos have managed to infiltrate here, and are aware that the laws of this place have been changed. That points to a larger, hiddden antagonist at work against both us and your modron folk."

Moff DM wrote:
Haven't heard from Patrick in a while -- hopefully things will get better for him soon...

Things still kinda hectic unfortunately. Trying to update and ferverishly clean a filthy house.

Sebastian swings his new friend about with abandon, the crackling blade shedding small lightning bolts into the air as it cleaves down Just some window dressing

Dropping another set of rolls for my next turn

1d20 + 13 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 13 + 1 = 182d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 4) + 6 = 161d6 ⇒ 41d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 8 + 1 = 232d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 5) + 6 = 121d6 ⇒ 3

Please feel free to GMPC Sebastian for a while. I don't see a lot of free time in my futture, but I would like to try and stay in the game

I can post for now. I don't know about the future. Feel free to GMPC Sebastian if needs be. He will resist taking his magic items

Sebastian takes in the scene of the modrons deanding the magic items with a stern look.

"Hold varlets! You are acting most chaotically for beings of Law. If I did not know better I would say you are attempting some sort of banditry under the guise of authority. Where is your warrant to claim magic items? Who is your superior?"

initiative roll if needed: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

"So where is this talking sword?"

I just gave it to you! Short term memory problems? ;)

"It is here."

Ooops! I didn't see that! Mea Culpa!

Sebastian's fair face flushes crimson

"Ah! I'm sorry, I thought there was something on my cloak! I didn't see you handing it over."

Sebastian picks up the sword and swings it experimentally.

"Dost thou have a voice, blade? I am Sebastian, thy new master. Together we shall battle evil!"

Sebastian checks his claok and armor.

"So where is this talking sword?"

Pinna wrote:

Pinna looks curiously at Vassago. "That's what I said."

She regards Sebastian and Ra's thoughtfully. "Say, either of you want a talking blade? Vortic gave it to Lanwin, but it's a bit big for Lanwin. I do not use blades, much."

Sebastian looks interested

"A talking blade you say? Is it a spirit of good that animates the steel? If so, I would certainly be interested."

Sebastian takes in Pinna's and Vassago's statements with an attentive air

"If there is evil afoot, then I and Ra's are your men! We have fought demons at the edge of the Worldwound, defending our lands from the terrors of the Abyss."

Sebastian's green eyes flash like emeralds as he stands and attaches his cloak. The group sees an eggplant with angel wings over crossed swords embroidered on it.

"Lead on, new friends! You will find the blades of Sebastian and Ra's valuable allies in the fight against Evil!"

E. wrote:

K(Planes): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10

"Svirfneb ...Svirfnub ... ummm ... are those the little blue fey that alchemists make gold out of?"

Elysia Lyon wrote:
"Oh, your armor is so shiny! What do you polish it with? It makes so shimmery patterns in the light!" ^.^

Sebastian flashes a set of pearly white teeth

"I find a rub of fine sand and a finish wash of diluted auqa regia works wonders on rust."

The tall human in plate mail looks over the group. His green eyes widen at the odd assemblage. A large sword's hilt peeps over his left shoulder.

"Well met friends. Indeed Ra's and I sojurned long in many conflicts. We were on a crusade when some force, most likely from the Worldwound sent us to this strange land."

Moff DM/Ra's:

Spoiler:
I meant gumming up the interaction with the dragon earlier, but I guess we wont be interacting with him/her? I will go with Iomedae and come from Golarion if that is OK.

Spoiler:
Would Bahamut work? I was thinking perhaps coming from a world plagued by dragons. Of course, this could gum up the interaction with Swalk'kuhr. Otherwise, Pelor is fine, or maybe Iomedae if we want to go Golarionish.

Ok, I know you are having a little difficulty getting to this (and probably don't like a lot of the number crunching). So with that in mind, here's a little help.

** spoiler omitted **...

You sir, are a lifesaver. I am sorry this took so long, but my life has been extremely hectic lately and when I am stressed the thought of math and looking up stats and rules just overwhelms me. Sebastian is ready to go! =)

Dotting...

EDIT: OK, got the bare bones up. have to go to work, but I have enough to work thru a battle. I just normal rolled HP, tell me if we were doing another method. I should be ready to interact with folks and improvise as I go =)
