Savras nods to Athyra in Polygot, "We would be grateful for such aid and will certainly return the locket to you should we discover it". Savras unfurls his chain from his waist, he keeps his rapier sheathed, as sucha weapon seems a poor choice against the dead... "I am as ready as I will get for such an endeavor".
In Polygot, "Well met, I am Savras. It appears that we will indeed brave these mines. What is an adventure without danger? Would not be my first choice but I remain faithful to the accord that I have signed on for". Savras looks uncomfortable to say the least with the idea!
"Wait, we want to voluntarily go fight the dead? The living, I am fine with. The dead do not die so very easily cause ya' know, they're already dead..."
Savras blinks and responds in Polygot, "I am sorry to hear of this fate for your parents". He turns to the others and speaks in common, "It seems that if we take the mine, we will lose some of our forces to the walking dead. Perhaps this short cut will turn out to be more of a dead end..."
Polygot, "Quite literally we pass through to reach a destination many seek. We believe that we would be the best suited to reach this destination to keep what is there out of the wrong hands. Know that others seek this item and you may encounter them as well. What do you know of this salt mine nearby?"
Savras responds in Polygot, "We pass through your hunting lands and mean no harm. We shall be here and gone like the wind".

Savras stretches and groans, "That was an odd dream. What was in that drink Tempest?" --- Savras shakes his head, "We should at least replace the items that we bartered away while procuring the services of our Guide". Savras turns to Tempest, "Any specific gear we should consider picking up to bring along?"
Savras offers what is accepted and ingests it though he has a skeptical look on his face as he does so.
Savras claps Lawdrak on the back, "That was amazing, never seen anything like it".
Savras grins at Lawdrak's accomplishment but remains silent and still. This creature is still unpredictable and dangerous.
With no language or animal skills, Savras remains still.
Savras nods in approval at the idea by bowing and adds, "Estrietre, you can speak to her as well no? I believe she speaks Auran".
Savras unfurls his chain, draws his rapier, and several hidden daggers and hands them over. He also hands over the light crossbow hanging at his side. He grimaces as this is the first time he has been without a weapon in a long time, "This is a crazy idea. I hope that this guide is as useful as he is rumored to be for all of this risk", the Tiefling thinks to himself.
"And if we are attacked and cannot defend ourselves? Will your tribesman protect us?"
Savras speaks with the warriors in Polygot, "We have surrendered the feather. We would like an opportunity to speak with Chirok ourselves. If the spirit guardian consents to grant us a feather then we shall have earned it yes? Understand that in some ways, it is to your benefit to let us do so. The quest we undertake could have an impact on your tribe, what we seek, in the wrong hands may threaten your tribe even here. The Tempest sent us here to complete the Task of Wind and we do not give up easily". Diplomacy
Savras watches with interest, if Lawdrak does not win, it is not clear what the next steps would be here. He would hate to have to slay these tribesmen, especially for a test to get the aid of a lone hermit. Savras is rather morally ambiguous to death but to slay someone for such a menial task and when trespassing on their lands, its not something he can see himself doing. He shakes his head and grins, No doubt my outsider father would be so very disappointed in me for thinking this way...
Savras replies in Polygot, "Give us a moment to choose our Champion".

I know that this Bird is your guardian spirit, perhaps a token offering to make up for this transgression would suffice? We have wares that you may find helpful in day to day life. We have what we came for, we came in peace and we will leave in peace. Assuming that you wish peace also".
"I hope not. I say we walk quickly and do not run. Running may draw more attention". Just in case though, Savras places a hand on his bow and draws an arrow watching the skies above.
Savras - Perception Aid Another Lawdrak -
"Yes, no time to waste if we have to march once" As the group gets some distance away from the hermit, "I suppose the first thing to do is search under its nest for a feather. If we can just pluck one from the ground no need to have an altercation with what may well be a large flying predator. Though I confess I know nothing about and have never heard of the breed".
"I speak a number of languages, Auran is not one of them. Anyone else?"
Savras nods to Baako Tau, "Indeed, it would have been difficult without your assistance. Thank you".
Savras grins, "Ah, now I get it".
Savras nods in approval, "Great job. I don't know if I could have held my breath that long Hana".
Savras shakes hands on it, "Agreed and thank you again for your hospitality".
Savras replies to Baako in Polygot once more, "Yes, so you know the Tempest! That would be excellent. We have the following goods for trade - good silk rope, a mirror, some oil, flint and steel, a crowbar, a shovel, mead and sunrods. Are any of these items of interest to you?"
In Polygot, ]b]"We are here to recruit a guide to head farther into the interior of the jungles. He is ornery and has asked us to perform a few tasks before he will agree to aid us, the first, retrieve a black pearl. There are a few among us who can swim though likely not as well as your people. But if they can guide us to the place where we will have the most success we will dive until we achieve that success".[/b]

"Excellent. We appreciate your hospitality and we certainly have worked up a hunger for dinner after our long trek today".
Savras waves and smiles back, he replies in Polygot, "Thank you for welcoming us. We seek to find a black pearl off of the coast. We would welcome shelter for the night and perhaps some assistance in our search. We have goods for exchange and I am sure something can be worked out between us to the benefit of all".
Savras nods to Lawdrak, "Good idea. We should still approach the locals. We can trade with them and perhaps stay in their village overnight as well".
Savras turns to the group, "These are friendlies. I think if we have some gear to spare for bartering purposes, we can get what we need to dive and find these pearls which are about 100 feet off of the shore. I have a few things to trade I suppose. Good silk rope, a mirror, some oil, flint and steel. Most of it I got cause I thought I'd need t but we need the guide more than a few potentially useful trinkets I think. What do all of you have that you can part with? I am an OK swimmer, how about the rest of you?"
Savras nods, "Alright then. We will head in that direction, I speak the local dialect".
Folks, on April 27 I am moving, I will likely not be back online until April 29 or 30. Just a heads up.

Savras looks up at the sky at the mention of the Chelexians activities as he is a direct product of their cruel whims.
"We certainly did not intend to battle your crabs, they attacked our companion and we defended her. A part of the natural cycle of life. We need your assistance to navigate the jungle and locate an ancient ruin. We believe that other parties with more nefarious purposes also seek this place. If they find it first, your seclusion may well come to and end regardless".
I believe Dereje is the only PC with decent Diplomacy, I will try and aid another though!
As the man floats down Savras re-wraps his chain about his body. When he lands Savras knowing Diplomacy is not his strong suit breaks the ice with an easy smile on his face, "Nkechi I presume?"
Nodding in satisfaction though not necessarily pleased to kill a creature just looking for a meal, Savras turns his attention to the last foe.

Seeing Estietre's predicament, Savras moves to assist unfurling the chain and drawing his rapier, he stabs and swings at the crab. Attack Rapier - Damage
Savras re-loads his crossbow. He has their measure, his next shot just needs to be a bit more accurate!
