While the previous bugs in the code are fixed based on our testing, no PFS2 scenarios have been entered into our system for reporting. I have notified OPF about this, so they should be updating the scenarios shortly.

This is not a bug, but I agree we need to indicate that some purchases work this way. Some boons will increase in cost the more of them you purchase. I'll talk to OPF about possible improvements to make the display more clear.

We have a fix prepared for the 2E reporting issue and we hope to update the site sometime this week. Sorry for the inconvenience-- fixing this is a top priority for us.

It looks like some GMs need their star rankings recalculated as of the update. The fact that they don't when clicking "refresh points" is a bug that I'll make a note of for investigation. However, your stars should be updated as you report sessions, and I've manually updated your stars so they should be appearing again.

We will make sure to resolve the bug with playtest points before it becomes possible to spend them. This will apply retroactively, so you'll see the correct number of points after the fix is rolled. We're currently investigating the issue with editing sessions from the admin tab.

Hi! I and a number of my faithful companions have discovered that our table counts and playtest point totals are returning an error, and when we rebuild the counts our table counts are accurate, but all of us have lost all of our playtest points. (We're all at 0.) Think you could take a look at some point before playtest points actually start to matter?

Thanks!

(We really like seeing the updates, both to the code itself and also posted here. Thank you so much for prioritizing the site!)

Thanks for making us aware of this bug. We have a fix ready and will make sure to resolve user's playtest point displays before it becomes possible to spend playtest points.

Sorry for the inconvenience, and thank you for reporting this bug. I've refreshed your GM stars and they should be showing up correctly now. Reporting GM sessions should also refresh your ranking, so if you encounter this bug at some point in the future, that may fix it as well. However, you shouldn't be seeing outdated or incorrect information to begin with, so I'll investigate why your ranking might have failed to update so we can implement a long-term fix.

The Assault on Absalom sessions for GenCon 2016 have been migrated to GenCon 2017. We apologize for the inconvenience and the delay. Let us know if there are remaining issues with these sessions.

Hi,

I rely on my campaign view to keep track of all my games at:

I had to drop out of the following game:
https://paizo.com/campaigns/v5748p75hoojr

But it's still showing up as an active campaign even though I've been set to Inactive. Any advice would be appreciated.

I looked at your settings for that campaign and it looks like even though your characters are set as inactive, you, as a player, are still set as active for that campaign. The game master will need to remove you from the list of "players" attached to the campaign in order for it to stop counting as "active" for you. Let me know if you have any other questions.

As a local coordinator, it is sort of important that I be able to access that page in order to create new events and obtain new PFS numbers.

I have tried many times at different times of day and night to get the page to load, with no success.

We have a code fix planned which will improve performance for this tab and allow it to load without making the time-consuming request to our servers, which should resolve the issue you're having. I'll make sure we prioritize including this fix in an update.

The most recent major update should have fixed these issues, as documented here: https://paizo.com/threads/rzs42dfu?20181120-161-Release-Notes

Regarding the turnaround time, many of these small UI bugs are very quick to fix, but end up being delayed because they get slated to roll with other changes which aren't strictly related. We prefer not to schedule large updates months apart, so starting with the next update, we'll be changing our production pipeline with the goals of making smaller changes more often, making it possible to work on unrelated changes in parallel without having them delay one another, and anticipating bugs much more reliably so they never make it to production.

Thank you for bringing this bug to our attention. We have a code fix ready and will include it along with various other fixes in a future update.

On that note, users should be aware that the last major update was unusually large in scope and therefore took an especially long time to roll. This is not our preferred update schedule, and we've recently started making changes to our production pipeline that will allow small bugfixes like this one to be rolled more regularly, though they will still be grouped with other fixes for the near future.

Thank you for bringing this bug to our attention. I've documented it and will investigate a fix so we can get links working correctly again.

Edit: Until the bug is fixed, one workaround that might help is posting links like "www.google.com" as "https://google.com". From my testing so far, it seems like this should cause the link to work correctly.

I don't know if it's just my browsers (all of them), but quite a while ago all product links defaulted to discussion, rather than reviews. Not only that, but trying to go to the next page of reviews refreshes the page... which resets to the discussion tab. So for me, even consuming the reviews is more difficult than it should be, making the review system as a whole less useful.

Example: This link goes to the discussion tab. Going to "Product Reviews" and clicking "Next" sends me right back to the discussion tab.

Sorry about the bug you encountered, and thank you for bringing it to our attention. We'll work on a fix for it to roll in a future release.

Do you have any idea when that will be, it's actually a surprisingly annoying issue.

I'm just curious, no hurry!

Have a great day!

The update will include a wide range of other fixes and improvements. Development is already finished so we'll just need to test them. Assuming there are no delays, we should be able to roll these changes within the next two weeks or so.

Sorry for the inconvenience. It looks like this problem is caused by a bug which incorrectly flags events as "not organized play" sometime after they are created. The links should appear again after the following steps:

1. Edit the event from the "GM/Event Coordinator" tab.
2. Click the "Edit" button in the event description section.
3. Check the box that says "Event is Organized Play" and save changes.

The bug that unchecks this box to begin with has been documented and we will look into fixing it in a future release. In the meantime, these steps should allow you to access the reporting options. Let us know if the problem persists.

We are in the process of diagnosing and fixing the issues with missing, duplicated and incorrectly categorized downloads. It looks like the downloads themselves are generating correctly when purchased, but aren't displaying correctly on the downloads page. As soon as we determine the exact cause, we will implement a fix to ensure the downloads page populates correctly. Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

Thank you all for your feedback on this issue. We have looked into it and are working on a fix that makes it possible to set gift messages for gift certificates, as well as a "from" field that makes it possible to indicate who sent it. This will be implemented in a future release.

I can currently verify that all reported GM sessions at GenCon are now properly displaying using the test codebase. With a bit of luck we're hoping we'll have the code rolled some time next week. :)

It's the same code causing this for other conventions, so when the code rolls you should see sessions populate regardless of event, the current code just doesn't realize it's supposed to be showing it to you.

By chance, have you scheduled this release yet?

Yes, we're planning on updating the website today and we'll be keeping an eye on Organized Play reporting to make sure everything is working smoothly.

There are currently a number of organized play issues on the website, and we've been doing a lot of testing to be as thorough as possible in fixing them. We'll be releasing an update soon (targeted early this month) that should fix most or all of these issues, with the goal of making the organized play reporting system much more reliable. Below is the current status for issues that we are aware of:

  • Some users are seeing the Paizo golem and the "something went wrong" message upon trying to report on certain events. The cause of this issue has been diagnosed and the update should fix it.
  • Users are no longer able to see GM sessions on their characters' pages. This a bug, and it will be fixed in the update.
  • GM cards do not currently show novas. This will be implemented in the update.

Many GM credits and sessions are still missing. This is a bit more complicated, as there are multiple possible causes at play:

  • There seems to be some confusion about this, but ACG sessions do not give GM credits. This is the intended functionality.
  • If a session is reported incorrectly due to human error, it might not give GM credits or show up in GM sessions. This problem is a bit complicated to tackle since human error can take many forms, but we are in the process of making some structural changes to way our system handles organized play reporting that will make this sort of problem easier to track down and fix.
  • If a session is deleted or disputed, it will not give GM credits. This is intentional, although we have looked into the possibility that some bug may be causing already reported scenarios to be deleted or disputed erroneously. So far, this doesn't seem to the be the case.
  • It's possible that in some rare cases, users may lose GM credits if their GM numbers are changed. We haven't seen this happening, but it's one possible culprit, so please keep an eye out for it and let us know if it does happen.
  • If a scenario has the incorrect organized play type set when a session is reported for it and the scenario is later corrected to have the correct organized play type, the reported session will still only apply to the original, incorrect organized play program. This seems to be the cause for many missing SFS credits. This is a bug in the code and will be fixed in the update. Based on the test data, it looks like this is a major cause of missing credits, and many users will see their credits go back up due to this fix.

I am having problems trying to report a recurring event (event #154907). It's a once a month recurring Starfinder only event. I had managed to report our first two scenarios, but after our latest session, when I try to open it, I get the broken link webpage.

I tried emailing the paizo email given on that page, but have seen no response. I was pointed to this page, but notably no Paizo web folks have seemed to chime in on this thread.

Has anyone found a solution yet?

The fix for this issue will be included in the next major website update in early December, along with other organized play fixes/updates.

Ok I made a new event to report my events as it seemed like a decent work around.

New event made 158589.

I edited the schedule of games played to only Starfinder material.

When I hit report. I basically get every PFS scenario/AP/Module i could ever report on but not a single SFS scenario or AP.

So I re-edit event and deselect the SFS games to see of they add back in.

No Change.

TLDR
New Event made but still can't report SFS games (PFS seems viable)

There should be a dropdown menu below the dropdown for scenarios which allows you to select an organized play type. Does it appear when you navigate to the event reporting page? If so, does it change the contents of the scenario dropdown menu if you select different organized play types?

It looks like some people also mentioned an issue which prevents any sessions from displaying for ACG characters. We have determined what's causing this, and it will be fixed along with the issue of GM sessions not showing up for characters. I am still looking into the issue of missing GM credits, however.

Secane wrote:

@Robert,

The issue the local gms in my area and I are facing is not that the GM credits are disappearing from the GM sessions list.
The GMed session are appearing in the GM session list as GM credits.

However, these GM credits are not appearing on the characters' sessions list themselves.

Example (actual membership number redacted):

Character; 111111-7, has 6 games player/gmed: 3 as player and 3 gm credits.

On the character's session list only the 3 player credits are shown. The MISSING 3 gm credits only appear on the GM session list.

In the past, all 6 games/credits will appear in the character session list.
This makes the system very useful for bookkeeping purposes.

Now it is really hard to do so, as you will have to look at both the sessions and the GM sessions to check if a character has played a scenario.

We are not sure if this is the intended function of the new user-interface, but it is a huge set down from the previous one. (Where ALL session, player and GMed is shown in a character's sessions list.)

Hope this helps to understand the situation and that it can be resolved soon.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I've looked into it and it appears that yes, this is a bug and not intended functionality. It should be a pretty straightforward fix to include in the next major site update.
