<p>Mathematically, this seems a little problematic since "##" is ambiguous. Is it "# times #" or "# plus #" or is ## a double digit? </p>
<p>For example, if #=3, is 9+##:</p>
<p>9+3+3 = 9+6 = 15 ?

9+3•3 = 9+9 = 18 ?

9+33 = 42 ?</p>
