WEAPON FINESSE doesn't reuqire +1BAB ... neither does TWF.

The obvious first problem for a staff magus is that they're not proficient with a no-dachi which puts them down at least a trait (heirloom weapon); minor I guess. The first problem for an eldritch scion is that they want swift actions for their mystic focus, on top of enchanting the weapon with their arcane pool and spear dancing style. For either, it's not clear that double weapons can be used as double weapons one-handed. The rules are written assuming no such thing happens.

Regarding how the feats work out, let's try it with a human:

1: weapon finesse
Human 1: TWF
Staff magus 1: quarterstaff master
3: weapon focus (no-dachi)
5: spear-dancing style
Magus 5: spear dancing spiral
7: spear-dancing reach
9: ITWF

Which looks like it kind of works, just. No room for anything else tho'.

TWF; Weapon Finesse; and WF all require BAB +1 so it would eleventh level.

You are correct though; this is not useful at all for early to mid level games.

I have just two things to say; one: It was nice playing with you all; you're all vastly different from my IRL group. Which was a refreshing change of pace.

And two; something that I wanted to say after the game was over- Rirsa is a tribute to my sister who never had the chance to experience life (Carie is a tribute to my cousin who was taken by Cancer) .

Hello; is everything ok? (No one has posted in a little bit; or at least that I can see.)

Would that not that burn and suffocate them? I mean the homes here are made of wood; after all; and even if we could treat them with something to reduce the power of flame over it- there is still the darker aspect of Hornath's breathing. I think we will need to find somewhere for them to hide then.

@DM Divinity: have you mentioned what the Count's home is made out of? Also does it look large enough to hold at least some of the townsfolk; preferably in the basement (assuming there is one)?

I believe we do him a disservice by speaking further while he is not present. Rirsa stops herself before she starts to actually gossip. Sharing opinions are one thing; But I shall not start rumors

Besides; I know little as to why he is the way he is... So I shall not pass judgement upon him. On to other matters; what's your plan for the Dragon; assuming he shows up before the others go back? Mine is to have the guard evacuate the citizens while we draw its attention.

I suppose; but I was personally thinking of calling him Little Paladin. It would hit home a lot more in that regard- if your goal is to get him to think about what he is doing... Very well; I was just thinking about that - however there is a very good probably that the Guard Captain is either dead or went with the Count. But we might as well see for ourselves what the guard is capable of doing in a crisis. Also; why Pally-boy? Rirsa asks; referring to Adol's nickname.

I could definitely see them sending one who could speak with such authorization instead. An Executive Herald of sorts; who'll investigate unbiasedly and inform the Taldaran Senate of its findings.

I will stay here; as I don't have the time to do the required research for strategic shopping... Also I lack the connections Adol has; and it may be best if he is there. Rirsa Starts to mentally go through her available Manuevers and Spells preparing just in case...

I'm going to go through and switch around my Readied manuevers and come up with a defensive strategy and planned retreat if necessary.

My vote is for the Dragon; if Eldran is linked to it, we end two enemies with one battle- if not; we may have procured ourselves a bargaining chip for Eldran.

Could he be attempting to bring his people back then? That would give his "Saving them" line some context. But is it just his people he's after; or the land itself? Rirsa thinks for a moment; shutting her eyes and thinking back to Eldran's ranting... Could his ire be the Dragon? If it is; the Dragon should be our target- for ending him will end Eldran.

I'd like to gain more allies out of this; but it appears we have burned both of the obvious bridges- more information on Eldran will be advantageous- especially as to how we might defeat him. Our enemies gather while we wait- but we can do little about that without a more permanent solution for the challenge at hand. Rirsa nods to emphasize; almost as if she was arguing with herself on the matter. My vote is for research; for diplomacy has failed us- and to leave him alone does no one any good...

Do we currently possess a way of defeating Eldran Tath? If not; is it possible to defeat him without an artifact/ Deific intervention?

I don't think Ulliazza would hide from us unless she was pulling a prank; and since I'm reasonably certain you're expecting one - I feel she is unlikely to pull one on you. She is probably just asking the count some questions; wherever he went off to hide from the populace... Where did you find the man; anyway?

Other than the Legened lore spell; I don't think we'll get much more information to work with other than the scene itself. No other solution is appearent; at the moment.

@Adol; I was simply inferring- I don't actually know Eldran's last name- but you do.

Rirsa walks towards Adol to fill him in on what she's discovered for herself; According to the Innkeeper at the Day's End; Eldran Tath said that the Abadaran Preists had sinned. And the Sacrifices we're needed to correct that sin. But the dragon didn't attack until after Eldran Tath had shown up in town. This currently implies that either some Abadaran Preist wrong him in Mr.Tath's perception somewhere... Or the Dragon has some connection to the Revenant and is using him as an emissary. She exhales a sigh... That doesn't leave us with a motive for taking the city hostage; so I am still missing information somewhere.Rirsa then looks towards Maika. Maika; may I speak to you when you have moment? I need your help in finding out who Eldran Tath was before he came here. It may help us piece together clues on how he became this way.

Her training has a purpose; but not Rirsa herself (not by her families reckoning at least); she wasn't bred or anything... Just happened to be from two different sorcery Heritages (one didn't manifest) and having natural skill at arms to boot. She happened to be a natural candidate for the training that her family had developed; and know she searching for more people that may prove useful candidates.

She also did mistranslate what she said... A better way to have phrase it would have been to replace production model with exemplar.

Rirsa pauses for a moment; resting her right hand on her hip;and begins to move her left hand emphatically as she speaks...I grew up in a place called Chevain; it's a small kingdom- it was a small kingdom until just recently... I grew up training my sorcery before moving on to weapons and armor and Tactics. Eventually a one my world's Archmages held a tourney in which I did well in. I was grouped up with some others and was tasked by him to find artifacts on his behalf. We spent several months retrieving them; stopping several terrible wars that threatened to eventually drag the entire world into it along the way... But stop them we did. The various remnants of the enemy factions gathered under the banner of the Divine Emperor Greaver; they captured everyone but me and laid seige to my homeland. I fought my way to him by myself and ended his line... Funny thing was; he was the son of the Green Dragon my house's founder slew- earning his Noble title. When I ended their emperor; they had no leadership that wanted to manage a failing empire- far too much land- so Chevain took whatever lands it had ceded to the empire in the past and us rebuilding itself.

We're a small Noble house charged by my King with the task of military leadership research and development; we research for effective increase in our overall Military Prowess through increasing the effectiveness of our officers... My end goal here is the recruitment of suitable candidates for our arcane officer corps... It also doubles as excellent training for adventurers; as well." She pauses to take a breath and to get her mind off of the obvious rehearsal. As for me personally; I'm just a seventeen year old girl who happened to save her world from a few too many crises appearently.

Upon seeing Alithea casting a spell Rirsa attempts to identify it Spellcraft: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (18) + 18 = 36
Recognizing her scrying spell Rirsa simply stands guard; knowing how annoying it was to have a spell interrupted.

She makes a point to stand in a place not covered in blood. Perception: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (1) + 19 = 20

Hey Rirsa - since vision has an effect based off of how much you already know about the target, when the spell is cast I will need you to list what you know about your target already. Just Rirsa please, and only when the spell is cast.

Did I get a good enough look for a physical description? If not; I'll ask Carie if she did when I have a WiFi connection.

Rirsa goes towards the mansion; and upon seeing that her allies are no longer there; goes back to the Abadaran Bank. Hoping that someone went back there. She Dimension Doors into the bank once she has line of effect to the way she first entered it.

Rirsa looks around to make sure she is secluded before reaching in her pouch for a Oval brilliant cut Sapphire; elegantly wrappers in a silver spiral (Representative of 3,000 gp) Satisfied that this would meet Maika's requirements she sets it in her pack and goes looking for the rest of the group.

Anyone have any suggestions for an easily convertable wealth item worth about 3,000 GP?

Oh; I was going to follow this along but It's at its end; I think- I think I need to have a Vision spell cast so I'm looking for either a scroll of it or someone who can cast it for me... If he's capable of casting the spells he has; he had to of left a legend somewhere.

@Rirsa, I noticed something a bit weird reading back your discussion with the innkeeper. How does she know what a bloodless is, when no one else in the town seems to? How is she so knowledgeable about undead? Maybe you can ask her this before leaving?

Good question; @ DM Divinity is that a inference or did Doriana actually say 'bloodless'?

It may not be wise to stay here while we investigate this; the Inn outside would be safest for everyone. If we get attacked; there won't be any chance of people getting hurt in the cross fire. Rirsa gracefully grabs her coin purse and pulls out a few gold pieces (6 to be exact) and hands them to Doriana. Here; we will still need to eat. So we would still be stopping by from day to day; if you'd have us. After the conversation; Rirsa finishes her porridge and then tracks the party down.

That place was dusty; I'm assuming that this has been going on for some time - I need to find my allies and put a stop to these sacrifices. How did these sacrifices start happening? Was there any reason why the Count called for them to begin with? Having a horse in the race means that there is a horse that you have bet on, which means you stand to lose something from the resolution of the race. In other words, in means you care about the issue at hand.

Some lessons are best learned on one's own... That's actually why I headed out to the inn. Other people won't calmly shrug off Adol's assumptions and prove him otherwise- they tend to get quite upset- and that should prove an important to lesson for Adol; that his assumptions have consequences- especially if voiced. Rirsa used to be Lawful Good until I realized that her developing philosophy would occasionally but her at odds with the powers that be. A guard often becomes a guard for a reason; and I've yet to see any hint of corruption in the guard; until given reason to suspect otherwise I'll grant them the trust that entails and whatever powers they kneel to aid them in surviving my wrath if they break that trust.

I assume the guards wouldn't know themselves; they seem to keep themselves out of the loop. it wouldn't be likely or make any sense to tell lowly guards where he is going to be at. Rirsa starts to trail off in thought...
