Augustus lets the others take care of reporting their findings in the tomb. Instead he tries to spread the new tales of Augustus and his many feats in the tomb, leaving out some of the more embarrassing details. Surprisingly he does mention his party in his tale, something one might not expect from the man.

"... and then I cut off its head of course! As if a snake could down the mighty Augustus Voralius!" Augustus grins at the small group in the church and return to his party, waiting for the m to finish so he could eat.

"We did better than good! We did great! Everyone will be talking about my... our adventures for years to come!" Augustus shouts from atop Maximus, clearly happy to be out of the tomb and reunited with his friend.

"If you think we should we should head to the Church of Parasmia... or whatever then lets go!" He spurs Maximus on which just causes the horse to snort in annoyance.

Noticing Florence cover the mark on her forehead Augustus makes sure his hair is covering his as well.

No need for anyone to see or hear that part of the story... especially if we run into Lirgala....

"Just tell me what we can take without angering any church or god." Augustus stands ready to help carry anything and everything back to Maximus and the surface.

"Though I will say... if we are taking the masks we found in one of the earlier chambers I'd like to hold on to the Abadar one... it reminds me of my mother..." Augustus says this with some hesitation, not used to sharing such personal stories and feelings with other non-horse companions.

Augustus nods at Florence in appreciation as she heals his wounds again with the wand. At this point he was getting used to feel of the healing magic.

"Poison? I've never found a poison that's stronger than my body!" He boasts as Florence checks up on him and Ben.

He moves inside the room so that the others can fit through the hallway and into the real burial chamber.

"So... is this actually something important we found?"

"I say we press on! Adventure and glory awaits us!" Augustus grins for a moment and then frowns. "Though... last time we didn't listen to Zilchus I almost fell down a hole to my death.... so maybe we should wait?

Augustus scratches his head and waits for the others to decide what to do. He's mainly here to protect them after all.

"I'm sure we have seen the last of it! One swing of my blade and it runs away. How cowardly!" He wipes a bit of sand and dirt from his blade looking disappointed.

Augustus will follow Zilchus down towards the door, his sword still drawn.

"Hey! I asked you all a question. This brand on my head can't be permanent!" Augustus talks to the group while focusing on the brand seared into his forehead.

"Are you guys ignoring me! The mighty Augustus Voralius! Slayer of..... Where are you guys?" As he turns to speak to the group he notices that they aare all focused on the next room over.

"Are those spiders!? Jesus!" Augustus fumbles with his blade, losing time over the surprise of more enemies.

I was so distracted with my face that I didn't even notice enemies behind me....

Augustus grunts in pain as the darts shoot into the hallway, one of them hitting a weak spot in his scale mail causing him to bleed a bit. Pulling the dart out he tosses it aside angrily and shouts at the doors in front of him.

"Is that all you've got? The mighty Augustus Voralius wont be taken down by a few darts in a hallway!" Augustus winces in pain as his shouting causes the wound to stretch a bit.

"So you guys.... what do we do now?" Augustus doesnt move from his current position, not wanting to trigger the darts again. "Can any of you do anything about these darts?"

While waiting for an answer he raises his shield and tries placing it in a way to deflect any more darts that get triggered.

As the door opens Augustus pants heavily, trying to catch his breath. "Finally! Told you... I could.... do it..."

Finally catching his breath he follows Zilchus into the tomb and listens as the man reads warning messages left to scare away grave robbers.

"Well it seems like this will be a story to tell after all if those warnings have any truth to them. Bring it on I say!" Augustus is getting pumped up now that they have entered the tomb.

Can Maximus fit in this part of the tomb?

"Damn! This insufferable door wont budge! Does it not know who I am?" Augustus looks a bit flustered as it becomes apparent he gave the attempt all of his strength. Red in the face he turns to the others, "Watch out everyone! This door will not make a fool of me!"

While Augustus attempts to open the door Maximus gets a bit restless not liking his master being in a poor mood. The horse snorts at Augustus as a form of encouragement.

Gritting his teeth as he puts all his strength into opening the door Augustus hears the snort and replies with effort, "Yes Maximus.... I wont.....let this door.... tarnish... our... names!"

Augustus will take 20 to force the door open. 20 + 3 = 23

Augustus spends the majority of the day exploring the city with Maximus. No one needed any supplies so he tends to just wander around telling random strangers about his so called past adventures. Eventually He makes it to the market area and looks around for a desert outfit in case he needed to travel linger distances in the desert. Finally finding a vendor that looked decently trustworthy Augustus steps up to the shop and speaks to the vendor.
"Hello friend! I require a decent hot weather outfit. Something that will keep me cool enough if I need to travel across the desert. I learned on the way to Wati that traveling in my armor is a very bad idea." Augustus shudders as he remembers the harsh conditions that he endured on his way to the city from Eto.

"So how much for the outfit? I assume it can't be too expensive since they must be a necessity out in this desert heat."

Finally settling on a price Augustus wanders the city until later in the afternoon. He then headed back to the Tooth and Hookah to prepare for his dinner with Lirgala. Getting to the stables he leaves Maximus with the stable boy offering another silver coin for the horses treatment. "Remember Maximus, behave yourself! I'll check in on you in the morning my friend."

Augustus then heads to his room to clean up before dinner taking extra time to clean the sweat and grime of the desert from his hair and face.

She smiles, and her warmth and glow from the performance shines through it. ”Why thank you Augustus Voralius, that’s very kind. I knew a Chelaxian Archaeologist by the name of Vorailus. What was his name… Auric I think. Or Auran. No that’s a language, silly me.” she smiles again. "Did you know him? A distant relation perhaps?"

She presses on, taking a nod or shake of the head to be enough, ”Unfortunately I don’t know any songs about you - yet.” she laughs, but clearly not at you, but rather at her own ignorance.

Augustus grabs a nearby chair and pulls it up next to Largala. The back of the chair faces her and he sits on it so that he is resting his arms on the back of the chair facing her. ""I've never heard of of any Auric or Auran or anything. In fact I haven't met most of my family. Just my father Augustus II and my mother Cleometria."

Augustus leans in towards her before he continues speaking. "You know, I thought for sure the tales of my deeds would have spread to your country by now... and a talented singer such as yourself would sing so beautifully it would make both of famous!" Augustus leans back quickly as he says the last part. Leaning forward again he reaches to take Largala's hand. "If you want I can spend the rest of the night telling you stories you'd never dreamed could be true." Augustus gets the same charismatic grin on his face as he waits for her answer. Not putting her hand down until after she speaks.

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11

If Augustus is successful he will try and take her up to his room where he will legitimately attempt to tell her stories until they fall asleep. If she does try anything with him he doesn't stop it.

In the morning Augustus comes down and immediately goes to check on Maximus in the stables. "Maximus! I hope you slept well! I did pay to make sure you were the number one horse in the stable last night." Augustus strokes the horses mane as he speaks to him. "I promise we'll get out more today, I do need eat however so behave yourself until I return."

Walking back into the tavern he spots his companions and heads over hearing them talk about the library.

Prof. Benedictus Dickens wrote:
“Is anyone coming with me in the Library? I could use some help!”

"Not sure I'll be of much help in this library of yours. Is there anything else we need to get done before the lottery? Either way I think Maximus and I will at least head towards the library with you all. No point in being left behind if we can help it!" Augustus then sits down and orders some food from whoever is nearby.

If Augustus was succesful with his diplomacy and also sees Largala while eating breakfast he will attempt to approach her and talk some more before leaving with his companions.

Florence Corvina wrote:
"What about you?" she asks of the horseman. "I didn't get a chance to talk with you earlier. What brings you to Wati?"

"I came here for a job. My previous employer hired me to get him to Wati for the digs. We planned on creating our own team but Abdur snagged me first. He also probably pays better." Augustus gets a sour look on his face as he realizes that Abbe stills owes him some money. He shrugs to himself knowing that he will find the man and get his gold later. "Initially I travelled this way for work and adventure. It seems I hit the jackpot"

As the others talk about Largala, Augustus turns to stare at her. He runs a hand through his hair and waits for her to finish her song before attempting to catch her attention. He stands and tried to make himself look as large as possible before addressing her. Hello beautiful! My friends we're saying that you're a fairly well known singer arounds these parts. Would you happen to know any songs about Augustus Voralius and his daring adventures? If so I think we'd all love to hear them!" He turns back towards his table as he says this with a wide grin on his face.

Not sure if i should be making any sort of diplomacy or charisma roll here since Augustus is trying to flirt with her a bit.
