Roddosric casts light on his sword and follows Rudrik, "South is fine."

Image

Raddosric shrugged his shoulders, "I was thinking bandits, but you bring up a good point, best we be prepared for anything."

Image

"Be carful, probably more than spiders in there," the bard warned as he followed Rudrik.

Image

"Splendid idea," the bard encouraged. "You draw it out and we rush in."

Image

"Good idea," the bard agreed as he watched Aotor. He picked up a small stone and casts light on it and throws it into the tower.

Image

It was black for me too but I zoomed in and out and it pulled the map into my view.

Image

Raddosric ducks behind the fallen tree and prepared to trail behind his companions guarding their rear.

Image

"They will probably be just as surprised in the morning," the bard conceded. "And it would be nice to be able to see too."

Image

Raddosiric nodded his head in agreement with the plan, "It would be nice if we could surprise the rascals."

Image

Once they are all together again Raddosric shares what he learned from Rufus and Burne, "So what's next for our merry band?"

Image

Sounds fair. Thanks for the heads up.

Image

Raddosric shakes Burnes hand, "Agreed." He gets up and looked to Aotoc, "Let's be off Master Dwarf and let these good men return to their drinks." He glances back toward the duo, "Thank you again." He returns to his origional table and awaits the return of the others.

Waving for another mug he remarked, "That went rather well, don't you think?"

Image

"How much can you afford," the bard asked playfully. In a more serious tone he continued, "How does ten gold per head sound and we try to bring them in alive for trial. If we bring them in dead we only get five."

Image

Raddosric shrugged his shoulders and winked at the man, "I would say you're not being entirely honest." He continued with a smile, "And we're not looking for trouble just trying to lend a hand."

Image

Looking toward Rufas and Burne the bard asked, "Those two gentlemen that just came in?"

"Well looks like the fates smile upon us then," Raddosric said with a smile as he got up from his seat and made his way over to the duo. He stops and gives a slight bow, "Greetings good sirs. I am Raddosric, bard and adventurer, and I would like the chance to talk with you."

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19

Image

Correct

Image

"I'll take that task," the bard agreed with Isingar's suggestion.

Image

Raddosric bobbed his head in greeting to the new comer, "Well met sir. I trust the good dwarf has given you the sparse details of our little adventure." He cleared his throat, "I don't believe that I caught your name."

Image

"More would be welcome," the bard offered.

Image

Raddosric is concerned by the man's lack of an answer and asked, "If there is nothing specific you desire then you'll be happy with an equal split."

Image

The fates shine on me, Raddosric thought as he listened to the man's offer. He nodded at Isinghar's comments and asked Spugnoir, "What do ye hope to be finding?

Image

Raddosric nodded his head as he listened and replied dramatically, "Well then Master Furnok it is about time someone created some good memories about the place."

Image

"I've heard similar rumors about the temple. Has anyone around here actually been there?"

Image

Raddosric eyed the card sharp, "Usually, I am more then willing to try my luck at cards, dice or woman. Unfortunately, I am a little too short on coin to engage in such sport today, good sir." In a conspiratorial whisper he asked, "What I seek adventure. What rumors have you heard on the subject?"

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9

Image

With a crooked smile the bard replied to Isinghar, "The same thing that brought you here I would guess. Adventure."

Image

The first thing Raddosric does when he entered the common room of the Welcome Wench, or any tavern for that matter, is take a deep breath, relishing in the distinct smells that taverns have. This particular tavern smelled of stale beer, unwashed bodies, and adventure. Next, he looked around gazing upon the clientele and tried to judge the mood of the crowd. As a well traveled bard he can usually size up a tavern pretty quick. While it is only midday there is a sizeable crowd starting to gather. Radosric continued in and found a seat at one of the tables and observed his table mate, A dwarf. He cursed silently as he knew that dwarves held tightly to their purses and would not freely spend their coin on music. Perhaps a tale of a Dwarven King or lost treasure hoard, he pondered.

He ordered a drink and with little expectation he turned the lean young dwarf with silvery-platinum hair, "Well met, Master Dwarf. I am Raddosric traveler of the central Flanaess and bard."

I should show up in roll 20 as Dan H

Image

Cheered by his newly filled mug Raddosric raised it in salute to the amiable dwarf. He took a long swig of the fine brew savoring the fruity taste. The bard grinned at Terry's remark and added with a laugh, "Heckled stories are my specialty!"

Image

Raddosric listened politely to the young woman and nods his head in agreement, "Tis an exciting path you have chosen. I believe there may be a tale or two to come of it."

When Terry asks to join he responded, "Well met, pleas have a seat good sir and take a rest from the road. I am Raddosric and this is Aeariel," he said pointing at his new companion. He continued with an impish smile gesturing at the dwarf, "And this dwarf is so tight lipped we failed to get his name."

Here is my (Chobo's) submission Raddosric Bard vmc Rogue (couldn't pull off the druid and needed to vmc to get the ability to disarm magical traps. I didn't like the bard archetypes that got this ability they all gave up inspire courage).

Appearance ♫:

Whether you find the Bard Raddosric sitting in the corner of a tavern or as a traveler along the road he usually has a song on his lips, a lute in his hands, and a sword strapped to his back. He features show his strong Oeridian bloodline. Raddosric is tall and well-muscled with a pleasant face covered with slicked back brown hair, worn in a ponytail, with grey eyes that seem to laugh at the world. Raddosric is usually adorned in leather armor and well-worn boots.

Personality ♫:

Raddosric is a bit of a cad fond of gaming, drinking and carousing. However there is more to him lurking below the surface, he is gregarious, perhaps a bit slow to trust, but good natured and sees everyone as a potential friend. He has a story for every occasion and he believes everyone has a story waiting to be told. He is a fierce defender of his friends but cares little about what others think. It's not that he doesn't care about others but he believes that his well-being takes priority over theirs. He is quick witted and, unfortunately, his mouth is equally as quick as his wit, which has gotten him into trouble on more than one occasion.

Background ♫:

Raddosric's earliest memories are of music, the tone, pitch, and melody of his mother’s rich and vibrant voice lifted in song. But for him music was much more than a harmonious verse, music was alive, thick sensual, and intoxicating. Music was a mystical force that touched his soul to its very core, a thing of beauty. It wasn’t until he was about eight years old that he realized most people did not understand music in this way. It was true that most people enjoyed music, but they got the same enjoyment from watching a horse race or partaking of a fine meal. No for him music was pure joy and it was like a language that communicated with his very essence. It was this gift that led Raddosric on the path of a bard.

Raddosric was born and raised in the River Quarter of The Free City of Greyhawk by his parents Anguls and Selli. His father, Anguls, was the Captain of the River Boat which traversed up and down the Selintan River. He was known from Wooly Bay to the Nyr Dyv and all ports in-between as a shrewd bargainer and a man of his word. His father as a large man, with an even larger laugh, quiet and contemplative, and always restless on land. Selli his mother was… well she was magical. No matter the circumstances it seemed that she was always smiling, or humming or singing. It seemed as if she was always in a good mood. She possessed a gifted ear for music, writing her own songs as well as playing several different instruments. But most of all she enjoyed life and found joy even in the common drudgery of everyday life.

They were an affluent family and enjoyed the cosmopolitan lifestyle offered by the City known as the Gem of the Flanaess. Raddosric was apprenticed to his father with the goal of eventually taking over his father's vessel. It soon became clear to Raddosric that he was not meant to be a sailor. He was too much of a free spirit and life aboard the ship chaffed at him. Sailors were always scrubbing, hoisting, battening, and belaying. While he would rather be up in the crow’s nest imaging he was a Member of the Circle of Eight as the wind rushed through his hair. At sixteen he left his fathers vessel and took to the road, the only place one can truly learn to be a bard.

The hopeful bard traveled throughout the central Flanaess building his skill under several different mentors. Raddosric was left to their his devices to provide for himself, singing for his supper so to speak, in various taverns that dot the land. Taverns! What alive, colorful, and vibrant places. Taverns were a place to forget about your troubles, a place to share a joke or a smoke, and there was always music to lift your spirits. Raddosric took to the lifestyle of living on the road like a fish to the water, taverns became a home away from home for him. When he wasn’t performing he could usually be found in some tavern with a drink, some cards, or a wench in his hands, or all three at once. He is heading to Homlet to earn some coin and hopefully pick up a new tale or two.

Unbeknownst to Raddosric his father has been taken by slavers since he left home.

Hook: (down the road a little) Unbeknownst to Raddosric his father has been taken by slavers when he sailed to Wooly Bay
