About Quinik
Before you stands the largest, darkest ysoki you've seen before. He is 4ft in height and at least 100lb with midnight black fur except for a tan patch over his left eye and starkly gray ears. His eyes are wild and his face is in a near-permanent grimace. He looks as if he's about to tear you apart, and then suddenly he smiles, greeting you with a thick Akitonian accent, offering you some food.
Quinik grew up in the faltering city of Arl before joining the Akitonian Mobile Infantry, where he served as a rifleman and medic in the corps. When on patrol he used the skills his father taught him to become the camp cook of his squad, earning him the nickname "Cookie". After a nasty accident left him with nerve damage in his face, he was discharged, and has been plying his way as cook in the slums of Arl. When he heard the Starfinders were looking for new recruits, he packed up his gear and signed up with the Exo-Guardians, hoping mercenary work would get him out of his rut.
He's a happy-go-lucky and friendly dude, but the nerve damage gave him permanent resting angry face.
