"What those things are isn't important right now, of course, it is very good to meet you, Wendel, and I'm sure we'll be able to help you with your plight -- who knows, it might even be a promotion for you if that's important to you." Yes, yes, tell the minions they have advancement opportunities and they'll work even harder for you! Unless they don't, of course, but what's a little betrayal and pranking between friends... NOT that we'd do that, of course.
"I could dance. If I wanted, that is. But I'm not feeling ground dance." The small copper dragon does an 'aerial' dance that involves a few loops and flips to indicate her very own methods that are the superior dragon-dancing method.
Be AMAZED, minions. Such aerial finesse and glory is your privilege for working for a true dragon! That is, if I really wanted to make a fuss about it. "Of course, given the dancing review, has anyone stopped to consider more important financial factors like growing our wealth?" Petrahk stops for a moment to remember WHO she's talking to. "Dost thou takest the phattest of lewts from ye non-dancing frogings?" Too formal, they probably won't understand that. "Have we increased the size of the hoard today?" After a moment or two to allow for any responses to the More important question, the copper dragon(ette) will glance to the quickling guide that has joined the party. "And who might our new friend be? Are they going to require dental insurance too? Not that I mind paying that or anything, of course."
The keen eyes of a small dragon surveyed the ruined remains of the two frogbeings with a cynical eye. Petrahk was actually GLAD to be back to doing what dragons do best -- which is not boring 'administrative' work of making sure that the minions are fed, cared for, and have appropriate shelter. Not that it really matters to her, of course. But happy minions are productive minions, and the Chesnardo Rangers and allies have been quite happy and productive, indeed. What. The. Actual... are they... *dancing*? DANCING IS FORBIDDEN! Or at least, it would be if I had any actual control over them. Maybe. "Ah! You have been doing great work in my absence! I definitely made the right call to go back and work with the camp but now we are back to full strength and ready to move forwards!" She gives a formal and regal (ish) nod to the assembled crew. But, do they really need me? NONSENSE! Of course they do. What kind of adventure is complete without a dragon? "Sir Cani, Kwiazy, Yvra, Velvunk... what is important to know that I don't already know about your excursion out here?"

"Not sure if we should be restoring the gug to flesh or not, but that might be something to consider as well. You've already hit on the important point -- and they can corroborate what we've discovered, even. We did get resources to cover that kind of thing, right?" Petrahk offers with a casual tone while looking for any sort of additions to her hoard.
I'm kind of at a loss here, a lot of Petrahk's effective spells are pretty much useless because they're AoE types, and while she has utility type spells like Magic Missile, I'm not sure how effective they'd be? Sorry for delay in posting, been trying to math this out for days at least. Also, may the holiday season bring joy, peace, comfort, harmony or what else one seeks during it.
Petrahk has been incredibly quiet most of this time, not because she's trying to be antisocial but because she's had a lot on her mind -- and her intuition about the statue being broken being borne out just makes her even more unnerved -- she's really not the deep thinker that folks expect her to be, dangit! Despite her trepidation she moves to a corner and sort of fades out of sight. "If anyone IS tired, this feels like it might be a good place to rest and regroup -- not that *I* need to do that or anything. Otherwise someone skilled with dwarf stuff might need to open the door -- risking massive dragon power on it could backfire badly, just saying."
First off: Massive thank you to the folks who may have been botting Petrahk the past month -- I had a IRL situation that was somehow even worse than losing Internet for nearly two months crop up and one of the very last things on my mind was posting. The worst of it is past, and things are slowly settling to a new normal... Details (Warning: Could be 'political' when it really shouldn't be, and length):
An unmasked repeat Covid-exposed/ill person refused to respect personal space and I snapped with profanity when they wouldn't respect personal space for the nth time after asking for such. Since I used profanity in front of customers Corporate viewed that as a greater sin than getting sick from Covid and invading personal space. This person had been out at least twice for a week each time with COVID, and was constantly joking (and not) coughing hacking wheezing noises whenever someone wearing a mask was near them. That is, when they weren't engaging in an actual smoker's cough while preparing food. Unmasked. I am exceptionally lucky because the person in question was within two feet of me and when I spun around to see who was breathing heavy down my neck despite trying to open up the distance I very nearly put two middle fingers into their eyes. I am also exceptionally blessed because I had my folks as witnesses to the phone conversation where I was informed by former Employer that they had determined to lose my services, and as soon as the call ended they were both CHEERING because this was just the latest in a very, very long string of issues from former Employer that they'd get to hear about on a regular basis. So in brutal honesty, not updating here had fallen out of my brain due to the above. With a bit more free time at the moment I should be able to devote more quality time to posting.
"Not that I'm an evil overdragon or anything, but if I had an entity that was sustained by keeping statues around, the first thing I'd do is break one of those statues and hide some of the pieces elsewhere to force 'do-gooders' to make the hard moral choice of murder or death. Of course, I'm *not* an evil overdragon. I'm just misunderstood."
Petrahk moves up to keep pace with the party, still flying as high as she can manage.
"Not that it's really important or anything, but how many members were in your team, what were their skillsets like, and what do they look like?" Petrahk offers after careful consideration. "What was it about the Molthune evidence that felt 'off' to you. We're investigating the same, and if you have a different insight than us it might be useful to know."
I'm sorry, everyone, but I'm in a really bad place right now. I'm going to take this weekend entirely off from PbP to try to rest and heal. I hope you all have a good weekend, and I'll see you early next week. Hope you feel better, and sorry for not posting this week -- in person convention plus horrible work environment main factors.

And I might have started broadening my studies because of working with this team, so there may be hope for you there." Petrahk offers in response as she waits to see what happens to the statue as well.... and listening for any cries of anger or irritation further in caused by de-petrification.
Petrahk cracks her knuckles and reads the scroll, minding the issues that Yvra had with it, and flipping it so the 'bottom' is 'top' and 'top is 'bottom'
"Not that it's important or anything, but it can be really easy confusing the Dwarven runes here, here and here for the Draconic runes here, here, and here. You were probably trying to read it in Dwarven. Which might make sense since it's from a Dwarven fortress -- but Draconic is the backbone of most modern magic-writing."
"Not that it'd be important for gathering information or anything, but maybe a bunch of scrolls or salves or whatnot to help deal with petrifying magic might be handy... and maybe some smoked glasses for those who aren't super-good at seeing things?" Petrahk offers while considering options. "Don't ask ME to cast any scrolls to de-stone folks, though. That's not my wheelhouse unless you want the statues melted down."
Oh, great, this is going to go INCREDIBLY well!, the small invisible dragon thinks as she tries to fly for a slightly better position. "She's probably incredibly pissed off. Not that *I* would be if I was doing my job. Kinda hard to move on from being stone. Suggest making it right for them." is offered as advice via Message
Petrahk's time was a bit of a blur as they were running around and getting ready and suddenly the party was exploring yet again after the very welcome respite from the drudgery of 'being heroic'. Yes. For some reason it felt even more dour and workmanlike than at any other time in the past though the small dragon made a great deal of effort to keep her thoughts to herself. The hint, though, may have been that she became incredibly socially reserved -- almost emulating the dwarves in their typical dwarven behaviour. However, now there's time to explore and make things happen. She will start Invisible as the party explores, possibly part of why she's been quieter of late.
She will impart any information she discovers via Message to the rest of the team before shifting position by about ten feet in case anyone is observing and can see through her magic.
Great. Well, it's the reinforcements we needed, I guess? A copper-scaled 'dragon' blends into view wearing the most audacious combination of Tien, Varisian,and Dwarven silken armors, that armor concealed by a very coppery robe that almost seems to blend into her, sitting atop the highest bookshelf in the room and watching everyone warily. She stretches a bit, wings flaring. Yawning as if either waking up from a nap or from boredom before glancing over the room, she gives the rest of the new arrivals a bit of a squinty look. "Not that I really need to mention it, but my full official title is Her Draconic Excellence, Majestrix Petrykyxxz Jadetalon. If you have a hard time with Draconic, then Petra can suffice... I guess.". At the mention of the trickery she shrugs a bit. "The Legion attempted to attack the place I was Keeping My Stuff -- not that it wasn't adequately protected of course -- so we came up with an idea to infiltrate their forces and take them down from inside. When we did that, we discovered a trail of evidence that brought us to here. When we got here, we discovered that someone was trying to manipulate things by a serious number of flaws in the evidence -- not that the dwarves and other locals here wouldn't've found it eventually, of course. So now it looks like people are showing up to help with the mission -- not that we necessarily NEED them, of course, and we're going to show the Legion that it's incredibly dangerous to under-estimate those they would trample underfoot."
