No more guessing where spoilered text ends. I like them for that reason as well. No more adding lines at the bottom of my spoilers to indicate the end of them. I’m glad the color issues are being looked into. ![]()

![]() I tried to search for another thread about this, but couldn't find anything so I'll post here since it is relevant to the same issue. When I create a Core Character, the faction choice option is locked out. Every character is just set as Grand Lodge. I believe this is essentially the same issue John seems to be having, being unable to change their Core Faction. ![]()
![]() Assuming that is Laafdahni you are referencing, at least she is only level 3. My -1 PC has pretty much just been put to pasture because I'm not that interested in playing what I built. He is level 8, so realizing you didn't do things like you wanted even happens to higher level PC's. Anyway, I'm sure there are people here who would love to help theory-craft ways to do what you want to do with your existing stats, so you could always let us know your plan and go from there. Sometimes that can work. Otherwise, I can't think of a way to change base ability scores other than just starting over. :( ![]()
![]() I actually just create a pbp template for each system (pfs1, pfs2, sfs), build my characters in a google document and copy the info into the template when ready to play online. The most work is done up front then I do slight edits as I level up a character. However, a good bit of fun I get in this game is managing all those little details and planning out my characters. I also have a ton more freedom to customize how my profiles look. ![]()
![]() Many AP's never even get through book one. It's really a shame, as there is so much opportunity for character growth and development. I've been part of one failed attempt that never actually got to an encounter. But I've also been incredibly fortunate to have groups that run scenarios back to back either via GM swaps or just one awesome GM doing it all. That allows for a similar level of group dynamics and is a bit easier to keep going, with more built in breaks. ![]()

![]() Here! I am signed up with Dexter & Salazar, a level 4 druid. However, it looks like we have a wide variety of leveled characters signed up. If we end up playing at the low tier I also have Micah Elum, a level 2 bloodrager. I'll try to keep checking in to see which way we go, thanks for running this GM BastardBard! ![]()

![]() Trained (a proficiency) is +2, but it adds your level so at level 1 that is +3. Proficiency is a system that measures a character’s aptitude at a specific task or quality, and it has five ranks: untrained, trained, expert, master, and legendary. Proficiency gives you a bonus that’s added when determining the following modifiers and statistics: AC, attack rolls, Perception, saving throws, skills, and the effectiveness of spells. If you’re untrained, your proficiency bonus is +0. If you’re trained, expert, master, or legendary, your proficiency bonus equals your level plus 2, 4, 6, or 8, respectively. -CRB page 13 ![]()
![]() Howdy, I signed my wife and I up for this on the spreadsheet recently. We are looking forward to the scenario and have two characters currently available (Two lvl 1 Soldiers). But, I'm hoping to get my lvl 2 Envoy free of his current game (I believe we are in the last fight) to join to give the group a bit more balance. I'll hold off on posting my details until I know for sure which character I'll bring. ![]()
![]() So... I came here because it confused me as well. However after looking it all over again, I think it appears that the spells known may be the same as the spells per day. This would be the simplest way (which seems to be the goal of V2) of doing things and it also seems to fit the example given in the CRB of how many spells are gained each level. Thus the following breakdown (formatting stolen from Micheal Smith because it was excellent). Level 1
Level 2 adds
Level 3 adds
*Signature Spells chosen are Heal (1) & Calm Emotions (2) Level 4 adds
Level 5 adds
*Signature Spell chosen is Blindness (3) Thoughts? ![]()
![]() I will also be playing a Goblin, though I'm going a different route with RP as well as making him a barbarian. Playtest points, last I heard, will be a currency used to purchase boons for your characters. I'm not sure what will be available, but there was a post somewhere (can't find it) which gave a link to a thread about some of the options. I'll wait to dot in until I can register a V2 PC. Thanks for running the scenario Luke Parry! ![]()
![]() I have a lvl 2 Wayfinder Envoy that would join up for 1-03, fast paced or not. He isn't signed up for any gameday sessions at the moment so even if it didn't finish he would be fine. To answer your questions in order then. 1) Yes

![]() My wife has just created her first Starfinder character and we would both like to join up for this with new PC's if we can both get in. If not, no worries. I have played in about 7-8 starfinder scenarios on here and she has a few PFS scenarios done in PbP so the formatting shouldn't be much of a problem. Her name is Crystal H. playing Minea Thomiall, a Lashunta Soldier (close combat). Mine is Pete H. playing a Shirren Soldier (ranged/close combat) with a name I haven't come up with yet. ![]()
![]() Well, those groups definitely exist and very often address some of the issues you have pointed out, though some do not. There are also campaign modes of AP's that can address those issues as the group is able to build together. There are definitely ways to go about getting something going and advertising your interest in doing a GM rotation is a good start. However, doing just a general recruitment will get a ton of interest so make sure to carefully figure out how you are going to pick the applicants before and explain the process during the recruitment. Even then, it can be difficult to put together the kind of group you are looking for. Sometimes groups fall together from like minded players just saying hey that was really good who wants to keep us together? So you could wait until you had a good session and propose it then too, or go back to a good session and ask if anyone is interested in your idea. I've fallen into several groups via several different methods, so any can work but all take effort from all the players. ![]()
![]() Jean-Pierre, you don't have to sink too much into diplomacy. My PC finally clicked together last night and tonight into something I both want to play and will be useful to the group. I'll probably do the build tomorrow (unless given time today) and have him up and ready to go. Gnome Rogue with high Confidence (Charisma). He should be able to handle traps and diplomacy well if Jean-Pierre wants to shift his (skill) focus elsewhere. ![]()
![]() Definitely going full rogue. Not sure at the moment which direction I'll go but he'll cover traps and scouting regardless (or until he bombs some rolls and explodes). Caps, are you going to cover the talky talk needs? At worst, I can work a point in there to get a pretty regular aid another but if I need to dedicate myself to that role I'll need to work on it from the start. Let me know! I'm considering half-elf and half-orc, with the elf side winning right now. The players guide has some awesome traits! ![]()
![]() I have a pretty high monitoring and posting rate. Looking at the players guide, I concur with the 'super dungeon heavy' feel. So, I looked at a couple options, rogue-fighter & rogue-barbarian. I didn't like how either turned out but am currently planning a pure rogue. It looks like we have Arcane Caster covered with the sorcerer. Gotta have some sort of healing/divine caster (probably Cleric is only way in Core). A tank or at least some solid melee damage would be nice. Covering more or all of the knowledge skills would be nice too, but at higher levels we can get an expert to go on missions with us. Other thoughts and needs?
