A big frown mars her face as frustration sets in. But does it stop her? Of course not! Where is the fun in that. Moving to squeeze in to take flank to corner the beast and and give it a squeeze!

"Are you sure you cannot get the one on the bookshelf, darling Keeya?" her blade flicked and shined gold as it caught the candle lights(sunlight) just right, as she tried poinking the doggie-thing in the tush again.

With a mighty guffaw and a "Ah-Ha!" she draws her rapier(Olive) and lunges forward, swiping the blade against the rears of those doggie-things.

"Wrath means to be angry. Whatever is the opposite of angry? Peace?"

Pai scoots off for Keeya, and then helps Keeya probe the thing. Pressing letters she tried to see what other words the letters C-R-U-E-L made when rearranged. Seeing that Keeya had wine she smiled.

"Now that is the way to loosen the noodle. I hope you're willing to share."

Once Sheila and Koriah leave the room Pai deftly jumps into the chair and sits down onto the table besides the mound of scrolls. Quickly, she heaves the box in her small arms and examines each of it's sides. Poking here and prodding there, she looks for details seeing if it's decorated in such a way that would provide hints to its contents, and the method to its opening. And then it dawned on her. Someone already had made notes on that very thing. So, she began sliding open scrolls to quickly scan for clues. And while she read she put her curvy butt on the box.

"Well, let's begin with the basics. I've heard that please is a magic word, shall we try that? All of our mothers have taught us manners, so it would make sense and proper to try that first." Pulling her eyes from the scroll she looked down at the box and said in a sweet endearing tone, "Open please!"

Mouth dropping in shock, she gasped and quickly clamped both her hands over it; her eyes wide and alight with indignation.

"Ordinary? Why, dear Talon I am anything but ordinary!" She then shifted her weight and swiveled her hips to smack them sharply into the side of his knee. "I am, as you will soon see, one of a kind!"

She then turned to Keeya and dipped into another curtsy. When she came up she canted her head with a coquettish flourish and winked at her.

"Did you get the letter too? Fantastic!" she clapped her hands together and beamed. She even hopped and gave a little giggle. "My name is Pai, pronounced just like the dessert. And, I am a bard, which I do -very- well."

She gave Talon a hard stare for a long moment before wrinkling her nose at him.

Suddenly spun on point and threw her right arm high above her head, with a bit of a flourish.
"I'm a bard! she giggled, "And as for introductions, Talon, you did very well. Bravo!

Female Gnome Bard 1 (AC: 14 T: 12 FF: 13 | HP: 9/9 | F: +1 R: +3 W: 4 | Init: +1 | Per: +7)

Tossing back her mass of curls Pai smiled, canted her head coyishly, and gave Talon a wink accompanied by a little giggle.

"A pleasure to meet you Talon Neverion, and I hope you're right. More the merrier, so they say. And will you introduce me to the woman beside you. I must say that she's a lovely shade of blue." She then turned to Taize and bobbed gracefully into a curtsy. "How do you do?"

Female Gnome Bard 1 (AC: 14 T: 12 FF: 13 | HP: 9/9 | F: +1 R: +3 W: 4 | Init: +1 | Per: +7)

Pai read the letter and smiled. She always smiled, as she was an optimist. And she thought that smiling made her pretty because it brightened her eyes and made her face shine.
"Aha! Someone recognized my talents!" she said to herself, as she often did, because she thought of herself as her own best friend. Who else could she trust with her secrets?

Thankfully Heidmarch Manor was so easy to find. Dress in leather armor with her rapier on her hip and with her guitar on her back she bounded inside. She had thought about wearing a scandalous red dress for a meeting, and then thought against it. Better to show up looking prepared she thought rather than in some head-turning frilly thing.

"Why hello!" She said boisterously to the others there, and immediately began shaking hands and sharing smiles. Those with good charisma scores may get a wink. "Wonderful weather we're having, isn't it? Love it! I'm Pai. Yes, just like the dessert but with a different spelling. How have you been?"

Pai:

Pai is very pretty. Known as a 'bend' in some parts of the world as she's pretty enough to bend over for (which sounds naughty on more than one level). As a gnome she is about the size of a preschool aged human. Her hair is a plethora of reds, vermillions, oranges, and streaks of yellows an it's a wild mess of incredible curls. It's as if a wizard planted a fireball spell ontop of her head and it just sort of stayed there. She has heterochromatic eyes. Meaning, both eyes are a different color, the right is green and the left is blue. Obviously, by her figure and fun attitude, she's some kind of bard.

;)

I think I'm all for it, adamantiumly so!

Realizing she had been starring off into space Keeya feigned a smile, briefly wondering how many drinks it would take her to lick someone. Though she decided the number required to do so in public would likely kill her. " 'bit forward for my taste I think..." she mumbled under her breath.

"Forgive me," Keeya said softly before sipping her fresh mug. "Thank ya for the drinks, I'm, a bit shy aroun' so many." Her hair blew softly in the wind that seemed to lack an origin. Giggling to her self she turned to Pai, "I think ya foun' a shorteye after all." not bothering to explain or share the joke.

"Don't be silly," she leaned on Keeya's shoulder and nuzzled her nose against her jawline before hopping to her toes to give the half-elf a quick peck on her cheek. "He's just a gentleman who enjoys a pretty, friendly face. He doesn't like me for my race, but because I'm smiling and genial. Trust me, men like smiles just as much as moths like candles." She raised her hand to wiggled her fingers at Hornen, twinkling a wave.

"Why? Are you not interested in the Buccaneer Booty Boogie?" She asked Alwen with a slight smirk, and slung her guitar over her shoulder.

Always smiling she answered Hornan enthusiastically and with her cup raised. Slight splashes of beer were caught in her hair, and wetted her cheeks. she quickly dabbed them away with a handkercheif hidden in her sleeve.

"Why fame and fortune! Same as you?" She then Spun on point to face Alwen.

"Oh, my dear elf! Now is the time to show off and let us lasses see how long of a tongue you have! And are you going to let her get away with making you turn like that? I think she needs to compensate you for your troubles. Perhaps with a dance?"

With a wink and a smile, Pai blows Hornen a kiss.

Pai squealed out gleefully and tossed back her head to pour the last of her mug easily down her throat. Beaming, she pressed her mug towards Alwen and allowed him to refill it.
"My hero! You came at my moment of need!" she giggled, and rose to the tips of her toes to reward him with a kiss to the tip of his nose. Then with her first finger she swiped a bit of foam from the drinks head and wiped it on the exact same spot. "Thanks!" she laughed again, raised her glass to him, and then rolled back on her heels to fall back and lean against Keeya.

"Really? That's really neat! What kind of answers are you looking for, if you don't mind me asking. And does searching for answers mean you don't know what your previous form was or, for all purposes, life was like?"

She pointed at Keeya, "You encouraged it! Besides, you're funny when you're flustered."

She bent at the knees to tease Keeya by shimmying her rear at her."My sway is awesome! Do you like it?" she laughed and winked before turning her bright smiling face back to Taize's trinket.

Her fingers still enwtined in Alivia's hair, her eyes went wide at the half-elf's remark. Which she found in turn, utterly hilarious and left her holding her belly in laughter. It caught her, Pai the wiley gnome, utterly off-guard leaving her sputtering for words. It was so ironic , she had to stop to enjoy it. So, instead, she gave up on trying to talk and hugged Alivia tightly around the collar covering both their faces in her fiery tresses and kissed her cheek leaving behind a smudge of lipstick.

"Dearie-pearie, I think my story will have to wait. Someone new is here and she's certainly intriguing!" she said to Alivia as she brushed aside her hair to get a better look at Taize Vesper. Her pretty eyes immediately dropped to what she held in her hands. For Alivia's sake, she then popped an olive from the bar into Alivia's mouth to save her from spewing out anymore of her internal dialogue.

"A pleasure meeting you Taize vesper. I'm Pai. So, can that tell you what our fates are?" she asked Taize and slowly moved to the blue woman to get a better look at her compass.

She wrinkled her nose playfully at Keeya and smiled, "I know! I think the gods are just playing some kind of joke on us. Well, at least it's a cute bottom." and then laughed.

Her face suddenly dropped, as a dumbfounded look came over her for a long second. Then, without any provocation, she exploded with a loud joyous peal of laughter and quickly clambered a stool.

"Keeya!" she cried out, followed by a fit of happy giggles, and then leapt at her friend to hug her tightly. "We really should stop meeting like this. That's what, the second time I walked into your bottom? It's starting to get strange. Not your bottom, I mean. But us meeting by me walking into it." she laughed again and turned her large eyes to Alivia. They twinkled as she smiled.

"I knew a woman once with a peg leg. her name was Ilene." she chuckled. "And it's really nice of you to say all those nice things Alivia. And I think your hair is lovely. " and then she hugged her like she had Keeya and then combed her fingers through Alivia's hair and began to braid it.

"Ah! So we're hunting men are we?" she gazed past the half-elf's shoulder into the bar and silently scrutinized each patron as she continued doing up the half-elf's hair.

"I can find one that matches that description if you'd like: A cute man, intact without any missing parts, young, and can ride you like a rodeo. Right?"

Having the body size of a human tot made it easy for Pai, a gnome, to weave and twirl between the tables, her music filling the room and bringing a whole new tempo of fun to the bar. Her dress decorative and frilly, when she turns, flares just so showing off her lithe ankles and at times just enough of her well toned calves to make spying eyes curious about her thighs.

As she moved her hair bounced after her with exuberance and gaiety. When she turned it turned, momentarily hiding her pretty face and beaming white smile behind a curtain of wild curls; each lock a different, but vibrant, hue of red. And when she moved, it chased after like a wizard's fireball. Her fingers danced over the strings of her guitar strumming out fun song brimming with the same energy and zeal that she seemd to exude. The bar began changing its tempo, and people showned mild symptoms of being entertained. Irony being, she wasn't hired to play. She just felt like playing a song and to get unequivocally lost in it. She didn't do it for anyone, just herself; and having spent all that time on a ship it felt so good to simply just move!

The song was abruptly interrupted when the headstock of her guitar accidentally swatted both Keeya and Alivia's rears. She was in the middle of a turning and her song ended with an unceremonious twang. She pouted and looked at her guitar curiously. Then her eyes grew two sizes when she looked up and realized what she had done. Her face turned just as bright and as red as her hair.

"Oh! By David's pointy hat! I..I'm so sorry! The size difference -I meant no disrespect swatting you in the behinds." she fretted and looked for an escape route in case the two women were to unhinge and bring their wrath down upon her, "It...I had my eyes closed and just wasn't watching. Please forgive me." her large blue and green eyes looked up at them pleadingly.

ooc:

I thought it would be funny to show the size difference with Pai accidentally not seeing Keeya and Alivia. Consequently slapping them in the rears with her guitar. It's a comedic and memorable way of meeting.
