Between bouts of drinking and brawling in the local watering holes, Oloch (surprisingly) is able to pick up a few useful tidbits.

He takes a pull from his cold mug then presses it up against his swollen eye, ”Numeria … my kinda place. And the Rain of Stars was some kinda meteor shower, right? Fire raining from the sky.” His eyes light up, ”Now that sounds like something to see.”

He looks back at the journal, his eyebrows drawing down in confusion, ”So what exactly are we looking for? A hunk of sky rock? How valuable can that be?”

Oloch gives Poog a mixed look … losing a bit of friendly competition sits poorly with the half-orc. With a shrug, though, he cleans his blade and looks at their reclaimed baton.

”I bet the Society would still like to have it in-hand.” He gives the appreciative crowd a bored stare, ”And we even managed to keep these sheep alive. I say that deserves a drink before we move on. On me. Unless we can talk ourselves into some free drinks … then it’s on them.”

Oloch gnaws the last bite off the turkey leg he’s been working on for the last five minutes … ya know, the turkey leg he bought at the tavern where he was supposed to be asking around for information regarding the scepter. Tossing the picked-clean bone aside, his dark eyes follow Kess’s to the statue.

”Caution is like … my main thing.” He slaps his belly, eliciting an armor-shaking belch, ”Well, that and making a good first impression.”

The steel-clad half-orc stops the first person who crosses their path, pointing up at the statue and stage. ”What’s with the stage thing?”

At Kyra’s revelation, Oloch looks up from his own inspection, letting his detection prayer fall away as he moves towards the water … angling to the south to create a defensive perimeter in case the team is not alone. As he passes Rix, he gives the mage a wide grin.

”Air bubbles are circles.” He laughs, giving the elf a rough clap on the shoulder, ”I would welcome seeing you hip-deep in goblin blood.”

Then he continues towards the river, ”Any of you good swimmers?” He shrugs, ”I only dog paddle.”
