Unbreakable Fighter 2
Round 10 "That's right! Run! I see the fear in your eyes!" Nessa curses and laughs at the wounded opponent as he falls back while she wrenches her sword free of the doorjam. Given the space, she steps forward 5' step through the door and attacks his less apprehensive friend. Power Attack w/Greatsword at I-15 ->: 1d20 + 5 - 1 ⇒ (19) + 5 - 1 = 23 Damage w/Greatsword ->: 1d10 + 3 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 + 3 = 9 confirm
Unbreakable Fighter 2
Rolling a '1' as his backup has not helped the situation at all. But hopefully she can be a distraction. But Nessa definitely likes Gregori's style. (And I need to get back into this character. Being away, I forgot I have 30' of movement as a halfling. Might have changed things for the better...like blocking Gregori's charge ;-) )
Unbreakable Fighter 2
Round 9 - potentially dependent on Harrol's action for target choice Nessa follows Gregori, hacking through the doorway at those seeking to stop the paladin. But her sword notches into the door frame. 5' adjust to H-13 Attack w/Greatsword ->: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6 Damage w/Greatsword ->: 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8 I guess it doesn't really depend on Harrol's action after all
Unbreakable Fighter 2
Go, Go Gregori! To our senses Theodric, we heard you mutter something arcane but seeing nothing going on, would not have the experience to wait for something to happen. Figured you were buffing or somehow helping Lann. It will only get worse if we drop one of the door guards and the spell has fewer targets. And I hate to say it, but he does have the best saves possible.....and with that, I doomed him.
Unbreakable Fighter 2
Round 8 Nessa spins and hustles to the newly opened door, but pauses when an arrow shoots forth from the opening. Taking a protective stand in front of Harrol (if he is still there) she will motion for the mongrol-man to come and get her. Move 20' to G-12 and ready an attack against anyone coming through the door. And visibly taunt the opponent in I-14 but with no game mechanics behind it. Status: AC 20 (w/Underfoot) 24 HP; Looking back through the fight, I didn't see Nessa get hit so I assume this is correct. Sorry for the need to DMPC Mark but thanks for covering for her (and several others).
Unbreakable Fighter 2
Perception -> 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7 Nessa moves up to attack, sliding past Gregory if needed (possible AoO). Attack w/Greatsword -> 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
Damage w/Greatsword -> 2d10 + 6 ⇒ (3, 8) + 6 = 17 That's a nice welcome back
Unbreakable Fighter 2
Nessa rushes to block the door and keep the guards from slipping out. She slides past the sleeping figure and takes up a post at the door (move to N-4). She swings her sword to try and keep the Traitor at bay. acrobatics to slide past -> 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12 Greatsword attack vs standing enemiy -> 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
Unbreakable Fighter 2
I am kind of the same way, or I forget I am carrying something and it sits in the pack forever. That was sort of the case here. I was entering the clw on my character sheet and saw the invisibility potion and the light bulb went off. I was in a rush to play catchup this morning after being offline all weekend, so if I missed the plan to use spells I'm sorry. I was reading it that Gregori was going to tank up and charge them when I offered to use the potion. As it is, it just reflects Nessa desire to mix it up with demon worshipers.
Unbreakable Fighter 2
looking over my "fighter's kit" I see that is not an item that is supplied...???...but you are correct +1 to damage. It is an item, at least for story purposes, I would see her having, if not already than here in the land of 'rocks a plenty' that she might find something suitable.

I am not a good record keeper in real life nor in games. If it wasn't for Hero Lab I would not be able to participate in these on-line games at all. Thank you Hero Lab, thank you, thank you. I agree the split sell and buy out of your share is equitable but intensive. In my RL games we always gave the useable gear to those who could use it best and split the remaining proceeds. If someone replaces something with better gear that original item goes back to the party for someone else or sold and split. It gets slightly weird when you find that one really good item that someone gets, but it does help the group as opposed to selling it and having no individual player able to afford it after the split. Put the good items to good use and don't get too covetous and it seems to work. For me its more about story than items, so I am happy with whatever system the group likes.
Unbreakable Fighter 2
Nessa spends time this morning working her blade with a whetstone, for the first time knowing she is heading into battle with those deserving of their fate. Fighting in the dark and dim-lit caves has led to the development of several rock-nicks that need special attention.+1 to hit for first attack....and ready to go.
Unbreakable Fighter 2
"Yes. It will be good to have friends above and below, only Chaldira knows how many holes I have fallen down. It will be nice knowing I might find my way back here, or you finding your up to our barracks...Once we get up there and help in the mop up of the demons, of course." Nessa demeanor reflects none of the attitude that Kenabres will be in perpetual danger despite their last view of it or their current situation.
Unbreakable Fighter 2
Nessa beams up at him, "Yes Sir..I mean, Chief! True allies are what we need right now, and something the demons will never get to count on. If the way through your lesser cousins is passable with just us cracking some heads, well that is the way I pick. They chose their fate siding with the cultists and demons, I will just see they get to their earned reward all the quicker."
Unbreakable Fighter 2
Nessa will strip off any valuables including chain shirts, "Better to let the fungus get in there and eat up your sorry hides...demons? I just can't get over that." 1d2 ⇒ 2 Once she is done, she will ready herself near the entrance the group first came through with full intent to head back the way they just came.
Unbreakable Fighter 2
"A hard fight it must have been. They have cleared the way for us, but it makes me think more than us might have fallen into these depths." Nessa will move each body away from the fungus. She will arrange each into a natural recumbent pose. Their weapons she will place in hands. (unless someone wants to put them to use....or they are valuable....and belong in a museum.
Unbreakable Fighter 2
Nessa dwells on what she hears as they walk, but eventually looks up to Lann, "If you fight the Demons, you're alright in my reckoning. And you're right, being less tall, people tend to think wrongly about me. I..I didn't know what to make of you at first. I thought wrongly too. I'm glad we came along to help your friend."
Unbreakable Fighter 2
Yeah, I jumped right in there with my whole 15 strength, once I saw Gregori at 14 Strength Check -> 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
Did it move?...I think it moved...or I'm getting shorter. I went from suck to average
Unbreakable Fighter 2
"I'm small. Let me get in there. Gotten out of tighter spots myself." Neassa with scramble into the rubble and use her lower leverage to get a start on the rock. Strength Check -> 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5 Some weeks why to I bother? "Umph. Come to see it up close, this is a pretty big rock/
Unbreakable Fighter 2
Nessa will tie off Harrol's rope, one end on her, the other on her pack. She climbs with her sword on her back and finds herself in another passage way. She pulls up her pack and takes the time to don her armor again. She lowers one end back down and will take up the slack as each person climbs finding a way to brace herself if needed.
Unbreakable Fighter 2
Nessa comes in from the shaft chamber, "I ain't so bad at climbing, but that is when I ain't wearing armor and a pack. There are handholds though, so I don't mind going up and checking it out. I can drop a rope if someone has got one long enough, that might help others. And maybe we save that floating of yours for the wounded, Theodric." Nessa will take a moment to take off her chain shirt and stuff it in her pack (giving her a +2 climb and AC 14 except while actually climbing) and see if anyone has rope before she seeks to climb. Still the matter of the execution
Unbreakable Fighter 2
Nessa takes a shift of the night watch and manages to wake up in a better mood than when she went to sleep. While the others make breakfast and morning rituals, Nessa will sit near the shaft and keep an ear out for any noises up there. Status: Sleep brings back 1 hp, so 10/12 HP at the moment.
Unbreakable Fighter 2
"Ahead there looks to be a shaft up, not sure how far. But it is all handholds and climbing. Might not be hard climbing, but pulling the unwilling might be another thing....and I will show you my boot iff'n you don't shut up Mr. Dwarf. Just let 'em try and I will end him, fair and square."
Unbreakable Fighter 2
"He shot me, thank you very much. That puts him firmly in Camp Evil. But look at all this, potions, magic book and writings, weapons, and food. He was mad, but well provisioned. Not what I would expect from a crazy rock-wringing hermit. We keep him alive and get intel, he was doing quite well for himself. Knowing how he did it could be very useful down here."
Unbreakable Fighter 2
Was waiting on others, but this is a readied action anyway so will put it out there. If the Dwarf shows no sign of surrender, Nessa will strike him as he takes an offensive action. Readied Attack when needed: Readied attack -> 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
confirm Readied attack -> 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10 Greatsword damage -> 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
Unbreakable Fighter 2
"Fecking Fool! Whatcha go and shoot me for?" Not to provide a target again, she charges and brings her sword down on his crossbow, but his bedroll provides even footing at the critical moment. Charging Disarm -> 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 4 + 2 = 10 Status: Move to I-3; Disarm-provokes if he is capable, AC16 (-2), 10/12 HP (1 subdual)
Unbreakable Fighter 2
"Calamari? Venom sacs? I don't like the sounds of neither of those. We got a ways to dinner, lets hope something more appetizing comes along to try to eat us. Or there's got to be some mushrooms or something." Nessa promptly drops the carcass she was examining. She instead crosses to the far opening and will listen through the dark opening, sword held ready. Perception -> 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (15) + 0 = 15 |
