This module was really played up, with three different blog posts about the setting, creatures, and politics. However, after reading the module, it is very....bland. Compared to The Dragon's Demand and it's uniqueness, Wardens of the Reborn Forge doesn't even come close to it. The creatures are unqiue, but this adventure was definitely not what I was expecting to see out of a high level module. At a lesser extent, if you were to compare this to, say, a high level 'chunk" from a recent AP (Shattered Star, Reign of Winter, etc.), the story and adventure is more engaging for players than the dungeon crawls in this module. I would have really liked to see a little bit more RP as well as a twist or two to really set this module apart from the other "run-of-the-mill" adventures. A cool environment, decent creatures, but overall, worth 25 dollars? No. The old price of modules? Sure, but still a strech.

After reading, prepping and then running this, I can say this definitely could have written differently. The first part of this scenario, I feel, bores the characters that don't have the appropriate skill to complete the task. As well, the map is HUGE! It doesn't describe anything except the locations that the PC's need to go to. The PC's get lost and confused. Then, the back half of the scenario is brutal! I agree that an objective of this caliber deserves a scenario this tough, but I believe it should be spaced out a bit more instead of all at once.

This special was interesting to run. It had alot of good elements, the players that were familiar with Tian Xia loved the lore and the creatures from Tian Xia. I felt that the different elements of battle were cool and unique but the last part, I felt, had to be really portrayed a certain way or the players just ignore the creatures and try to touch the creature at end. As well, if you don't have a balanced group, the end fight could and probably would be mean.

This scenario was fantastic! When I ran this for my players, I really RP'ed it up. This scenario is unique and I felt that it deserved every bit of it. The last fight could have been a little more challenging, I believe, though, the players still had a blast. I role played an EPIC scene at the end with the final boss and an angry, raging, creature (If you've played this, you'll know who I am talking about).

All around, a VERY, VERY unique, interesting, mod that I believe, if played and explained well, that all players will thoroughly enjoy it.
