As their changes and situation were explained to Ink Myriana let the others talk for the moment while she kept an eye on Iris to see what her reaction to all of this would be. Eventually she did interject when she saw him experimenting with his abilities and said, "I've been noticing that mental aspects of our characters are influencing us as well. I'm undead now and thirst for blood while starting to feel jealous of the living and I find myself wanting to make bargains and not give straight answers to questions," all were aspects of vampire or fey. As she had spoken, she continued to glance periodically at Iris, worried about her reaction to what she was hearing.
Myriana giggled at Ink's reaction to her and his wardrobe changes and said, "This is Iris-chan, she's a native who has joined us nya," she gestured to Iris and let the woman say anything she might wish.
"Yeah, I'm getting adjusted Ink-san, nya," Myriana replied to his question, "It's strange getting used to being, well, me though nya. I don't sleep, I don't eat," Myriana looked at Iris hungrily for a moment and added, "but I do drink, nya," She didn't bite Iris but she Myriana did hug her impulsively and nuzzled her neck for a moment before shifting her focus back to Ink, "Oh, and sunlight sucks nya! Don't even get me started on wanting to make bargains and stuff nya."
Myriana watched the others as they left only to hear something from the vents. She shifted position to put herself between Iris and the source of the sound and waited, ready to blast whatever came out if it was a threat.
Fortunately Myriana breathed a sigh of relief when she saw who it was. "Hi Ink-san nya! I wondered where you had gotten off to nya." She grinned, all teeth and fangs, and said, "We made it back safely and I brought a friend nya."
Myriana's nodded as she responded in the same language.
Necril:
"Yep nya! You said it right Domayoku-sama nya."
Myriana gestured Iris over and then said, "This is Iris-chan nya. She is a local we met while exploring who has joined us nya," as she put an arm around Iris' waist and pulled her close affectionately.
Myriana had finished up her blood and felt much better afterwards. It was around then that their newest guests arrived. Seeing Deseer rise to great them Myriana did the same, allowing her butterfly wings to appear as she approached them.
Myriana's hips swayed and her cat tail swished in counterpoint while she came closer. Her cat ears twitched occasionally and she smiled brightly, fangs flashing, when she said, "I'm Myriana, nya. Nice to meet you nya."
Myriana was a bit startled at hearing Zanthias talk about trying to get his memories back. She couldn't help but wonder if it was something from before or after being brought here, wherever here actually was. "I don't know of anyone here having memory problems? Was that from when you arrived here Zanthias nya?"
Myriana nodded in agreement with Deseer as he talked of personally visiting their new, potential, ally. While it was rarely wise to put a leader in jeopardy sometimes it had to happen, and she thought this was one of those times. "Makes sense to me, nya," she said before taking another drink of the blood in her cup and continuing to think about this possible PC group and if she had heard of them.
Myriana was a bit annoyed that someone else had all this intelligence. Spying, manipulation, those were what she was meant for! In order to assuage her annoyance Myriana poured more blood into her glass and drank it down. "It sounds like these Glorious Ones might be like us, hmm..."
Not sure what to roll to recognize if that is the name of a known guild or not.
Myriana considered Iris' question after they had sat down and then said, "Good question nya." At about that time her pitcher of blood and glass was delivered by a guild servent and she said, "So here is what we do Iris-chan nya," She held her hands up and said, "Do what I do nya. Itadakimasu nya," she said as she clapped her hands together once.
With that Myriana said, "Dig in Iris-chan nya," before poring a glass full of blood and beginning to drink from it. "Ah, that hit's the spot nya," after finishing the first glass in one go, "if only it was fresh from the vein all would be right with it nya."
Myriana was quite pleased to meet someone new, and she wondered for a moment what his blood would taste like, it would probably be electrifying! After a moment of directing a hungry gaze at his neck Myriana turned away as Galah'ad asked if anyone was hungry. Myriana was beginning to be aware that she was incredibly thirsty after the long flight back and that taking from someone, she wanted to keep alive would be unwise. In her current state she would probably kill Iris if she took enough to sate her hunger and was unsure if she could stop herself at just taking a little.
Myriana waved over a guild maid that happened to be nearby and said, "Bring a pitcher of Type-O and a glass nya." When the maid scurried off to comply Myriana took Iris' hand and laced her fingers through the witch's, "Let's go to the dining room nya, there will be food for you there nya." She looked to Baris and asked, "are you coming nya," as she began to head in the direction of the where her drink would await her.
Myriana was a bit surprised when the halfling approached her and asked what the role of undead in the guild was. "Aren't all here a servant of the guild nya?" She grinned impishly, her fangs peaking from behind her lips as she snapped out her butterfly wings and added, "Some of us are just more valuable than others nya."
Myriana gave a graceful curtsy and said, "I'm Myriana nya, and this," she pulled Iris gently closer to her and put and arm around her waist possessively, "and this is my lover Iris-chan nya."
Seeing how weak Iris was after Myriana had her drink the vampiric catgirl knew she would need to get more people to feed on if she didn't want to lose them. She kept a hand on Iris, helping to steady her, as Deseer received a message but gave him very little attention otherwise.
Myriana's attention was torn from Iris and her eyes widened as Deseer old them a new player had been found. She was utterly shocked as she hadn't expected such a thing, though looking back she should have. "I guess it was always possible that others were pulled through nya," she glanced at Iris to try and see her reaction, "I agree, going back is the best thing for now nya.."
Myriana carried Iris as they flew, it didn't slow them down any, not really, and she wanted to make sure the woman didn't fall to her death. When they arrived back at their base after a fair bit of travel Myriana saw the damage and how the drawbridge creature was not able to do it's job due to injury and had been replaced she was surprised. Seeing that things there were well in hand she landed with the others and set Iris down gently beside her.
Myriana followed the others to the courtyard where Inennarra awaited them with a couple of others. The one who stood out the most to Myriana was Arthur, he was bright, he was gaudy, and he was...an angel?! He made the crackling halfling look downright normal! For once, Myriana was stunned into silence, though the fur on her tail and ears was standing straight up.
When Iris asked how long it would take to fly to the base Myriana wasn't sure of the answer, nor was she sure she should say anything about that just then. Rather than worry about that for now Myriana responded, "Let's talk about that on the way nya...just in case nya."
Myriana then leaned in close to Iris and said, "Before we leave nya, I need to eat." With no more warning than that Myriana leaned in and sank her fangs into the neck of the woman she held in her arms. Myriana began to drink, the hand under Iri's shoulders sliding under her elbow and snaking up to stroke the side of her breast while the hand under her legs slid around so she could squeeze the witch's butt.
Despite her seeming abandon Myriana was careful not to take much, stopping after about a pint so it wouldn't cause Iris much trouble on their coming travel. When she was done Myriana licked the puncture wounds a few times to help the bleeding to stop and numb the pain. When she finished her head shifted and she kissed Iris firmly on the lips before breaking off.
Myriana's form shifted back to that of a human and set Iris down on her feet carefully. "Are you alright to travel still Iris-chan nya?"
Myriana gave one last lick of Iris' face when she finally woke up and grinned, which let her fangs show, "There is an emergency at our base and you need to eat quickly, if you are hungry, before we go." Myriana realized she had been neglectful of Iris' needs as a living creature, and her own need for the blood of the living, while researching. She half hoped that Iris had been eating on her own so she would be able to take what she needed before they left.
With no response from Iris as she listened to the others speak Myriana nuzzled her cheek against Iris once more while she purred. Since they had privacy at the moment, she shifted back to her real form for a moment und, with still no response from Iris, Myriana leaned forward, her tongue out, and licked Iris' cheek with her rough cat tongue and repeated the process with a mischievous grin until Iris woke up.
Myriana was a little torn about what to do but ultimately decided the others were right. She retained her hold on Iris and asked, "Do we have a way to teleport back, or will we be flying nya?" She was worried about flying with Iris when the woman was unconscious and might not understand what was happening when she flew, and Myriana did not want to drop her.
Myriana made a decision and began to rub her cheek against Iris's to try and rouse her. "Iris-chan, time to wake up for a bit nya." She continued to rub her cheek her cheek against Iris's cheek until the witch woke up. "We have an emergency at the base nya. Do you want to come with us nya?," Myriana looked a little sad at the thought as she added, "Or you could stay here and wait for me to come back nya."
"A surprise nya?!" Myriana was quite pleased with this turn of events and nodded in agreement, "It seems we're agreed nya. Let's," her words trailed off when she realized something was up when she saw Desseer stop and hesitated herself. As she waited, she felt the warmth of Iris's body held in her arms and could practically see the pulse of blood at her throat.
Fortunately, before Myriana could act on the bad idea Desseer seemed to come back to them. She gave him a curious look and asked, "Is something wrong nya?"
Myriana got her arms under Iris and lifted the woman off the couch. She carried the witch in her arms with relative ease that would seem beyond her to the casual observer. Just as she had though there was a knock on the door. Myriana let Galah'ad open it to reveal Desseer and looked to him, "We were about to take a break and fine an inn, would you care to join us?"
No problem, I understand busy well enough and I doubt the info won't be too helpful right away regardless so taking time to do it right is a good thing!
GM & Galah'ad:
Myriana noticed that Iris was sleeping peacefully nerby and felt her gaze drawn to the woman's neck. She looked so helpless there, so enticing, so...delicious! When Galah'ad spoke to her Myriana practically jumped out of her seat and if she had been in her true form all the fur of her ears and tail would be standing straight out as she cried out in surprise, "NYAAAAA!"
Myriana took a moment to calm herself and then registered what Galah'ad just said and nodded, "I think you are right, and Iris could probably use some food."
The kinds of information I am looking for in Magical History would be Organizations current and past that were involved in the development of magic and what their status is today. If I find anything additional about them, particularly references to other works that might have more information I would be making note of those so I could look them up when I have the chance.

What exactly do you think with making an Arcana check on magical history?
Because that is how you search magical traditions IIRC? It made the most sense at the time. Were there different instructions I missed?
As she studied the books Myriana was somewhat surprised to realize the locals magic was largely capped at a lower level with only a few capable of casting up to seventh tier magic. That eighth and ninth level spells were largely considered a myth she knew they had the opportunity to be vastly more powerful than the locals. That was a good thing as far as she was concerned.
It was also intriguing that most mages focused on one school of magic. It almost sounded like they were superspecialists with almost all their spells for one specific school. It meant a given mage likely lacked diversity in their spell casting and if you knew what their school was you could easily counter them. Still, it was likely they knew some other magics, and the really dangerous ones likely had a far broader variety of spells so they could not get complacent.
When the books arrived Myriana began to look through the ones on magic. She focused on magical history first but once she had a grasp on that she started into looking for information on the average and most powerful magics that could be cast in the modern day and then moved onto looking for differences in the types and kinds of magic available with a focus on spells that did not exist in the game or did not seem to exist here.

I had to work on Thanksgiving (I end up working most holidays as my company has to be open 24/7/365) It was mostly boring, though I had a sizable mess to deal with later in the evening right before I got off work (only delayed me by about five minutes after all was said and done).
With their guide and the students gone to fetch their requests Myriana waited a few seconds and then said, "I'm not sure I like the how to kill undead topic but I guess it is important to know what they know on the topic." She took a seat at the table and and tried to wait patiently.
Myriana bounced and clapped once in delight, "Nya," as she leaned in and glomphed the man with a hug. She let him go quickly and followed along as they were led to a private room. She heard him talking to the students and giving them some instructions and was quite excited to see what they would bring.
Myriana wasn't so sure that being around a bunch of information specialist mages was the smartest thing she could be doing but she figured that they wouldn't likely care to look too deeply into her if she didn't give them cause to. When they were asked why they had come to the academy and Gala'had answered Myriana nodded and said, "Yep! I am interested in the same subjects nya."
Myriana found the additional information interesting as Iris spoke more of the divisions and adventuring and asked, "So I'm guessing fire mages are red division, earth mages are brown, wind is grey, nya? What other divisions are there nya? OH," she added quickly, "and how do they view non-human students nya?"
Myriana hung on every word Iris said about her time in school and found that she was really jealous. She never got an education in her old life, she didn't even know how to read until she taught herself so she could play Ygdrassil. The chance to get an education, the experience some of the stories she read about when she wasn't on Ygdrassil was something she fantasized about. Maybe, just maybe, she should look at attending herself, so she could learn things useful to their guild of course. Unfortunately it would likely be impossible for her to attend such a place, given she was undead and all, at the very least it would be extremely dangerous for her so it was unlikely she would ever get the chance. She actually began to feel jealousy and hatred towards Iris for just a moment but she quickly tamped it down and locked it away where it wouldn't bother her again. "You will have to tell me all about it in more detail sometime Iris-chan nya."

Myriana's eyes widened at hearing where Iris went to school at and asked wonderingly, "What was it like! Tell me all about it as we head to the library nya!"
Myriana's head cocked a little at the reaction that Galah'ad got and began to wonder if they were mistaken about this town. Fortunately it seemed they had some luck after finding a town crier and the response was much more what she had expected. The mention of a "Magic Academy" was a surprise and more than a little exciting.
Myriana looked to Iris and asked, "Magic Academy? Did you go there Iris-chan?"
I had been waiting on Gal'had. I think he might have missed the response in your post as it was very short and then seemed to shift to other characters.

Myriana watched as Desseer and John left them and turned her focus back to So'ren when he spoke with some concern. Myriana considered whether they should follow and then shook her head and said, "No, I think we would be best to stay away nya. If they run into trouble having some distance will give us a better chance to withdraw and get any needed help nya."
Myriana looked at the platform as Deseer, and then John, road it up and considered if it was safe for her to do so as well. She hesitated and then decided that it might be best if she looked around town instead for a while. After a moment or two she looked to see what the others would do, and half thought she might best stay out here where she could get help if something happened. It had happened before after all. Besides she kind of wanted to look around town more.
Myriana stayed rather quiet once they reached Drother and was careful to keep her hood up and her arms within her cloak. She knew that she would be able to hide her lack of shadow by clever use of her clothes but it would be trickier with reflective surfaces. Fortunately for now the later was not an issue. She followed along with Gala'had and Serisha keeping Irias close beside her to help further shield her from any glass or other reflective surfaces.
The mention of a library did catch her attention and if Myriana had not been shifted her cloak would have been twitching from her tail lashing and ears perking up. As it was there was little physical reaction to the words but she did say, "That could be good, nya... ," though she realized a problem and added, "if we can even read them nya."
That's why I figured a full, hooded cloak would work well enough, that way I can cover my head and it won't look strange that the shadow is headless/armless.
Myriana shifted her form to that of a human version of herself and pulled her cloak hood up over her head. She considered how they could handle the issues her unique tells caused and said, "If it is dark we will not have to worry much about the lack of shadow nya. But the lack of reflection is harder nya." She thought it through and then looked to everyone, "Boes anyone have an umbrella, a big one nya? That might be able to help hide the shadow, and my protective spell, from such easy sight nya."
Those are good questions. The mirrors are a challenge, other than just avoiding them as much as possible. With the shadow is it that my body casts no shadow but my clothing/equipment does or does the gear not show a shadow either? If I were to hold an umbrella, like a large golf one, would that cast a shadow I could use to hide my lack of shadow?
"Interesting..," Desseer responds to Iris's information. "Seventh tier..."
After a few moments of musing he comes back to. "Myriana, can you look after us if we sleep? It would appear that this body does get tired."
Myriana nodded and said, "Yes, I can watch over those who need to rest nya. While you do that I can work on identifying the items nya." As she began to look through the items she spotted the rod of ice and said, "That's interesting nya, does anyone else want it?"
...True, I forgot that, though there may be something else out there that does I am not aware of. There are also times it would still be obvious, detect evil on an undead and get nothing then something fishy is going on as undead are considered evil automatically, same thing with an evil aligned outsider. Exceptions would be so exceedingly rare to have one with a different alignment as to be almost entirely unheard of (or completely as far as most people would be concerned anyway).
