---
Myani comes from 'The Land Between', a strip of land in the Mwangi Expanse that straddles the open savanna and dense jungles. Here her tribe moves between the outer forest and plains, often acting as diplomats between the differing tribes of each region. Her people are known for their taming of dinosaurs and other great lizards found there.
Myani is the eldest daughter of her tribe's Chieftess. Normally she would be the successor; however, her attunement to nature (not to mention her temperament) made her an excellent candidate to act as warrior and defender for their clan. Rights of succession moved to her younger sister, and Myani studied with the Druid and Shaman of the clan. Everyone was pleased with this arrangement.
It was some time after she reached adulthood that they came - the Pathfinders. While they helped to protect her tribe's most sacred artifacts, they also requested they take them for study. After much discussion, it was agreed they could borrow them for a time, but only if someone were to keep an eye on them, protect them, and perform the sacred rites as needed. That 'someone' was Myani.
She took little with her. Most importantly, her most dear companion - a Triceratops she raised from birth, the runt of the litter - Ti-Ti came as well. With Ti-Ti at her side, she had nothing to fear...
Except boredom. It didn't take long for her to get bored at this 'Pathfinder Society'. Fortunately, they had a solution. Adventure with them, they said. Their agents would protect the artifacts as well, and she could, of course, make sure they stayed safe when she wasn't on duty. That seemed reasonable, and so she agreed to join them. Until it was time to go home, of course.
