Looks like the postmonster stopped by for a snack. Lucky me.

Stephanie looks down at her shoes and smiles a bit at the compliment It wasn't like I did all that much. However I think.. just this once it would be better to not bother to correct them.

the princess looking over to her sister smiling at the interactions. " I'm sure Mae has a tome or two. If I remember correctly last time you informed me they were excellent for crushing nuts and other shelled things with. Perhaps we can have her be a storyteller next time we camp." The gnome suggests as she recalls the story in question with a small smile. She certainly hadn't been pleased at the time, but such was the wonder of time softening things.

Yeah one of the best parts about the game is the multi-faceted layers in the choices you can make.
Short of hacking the game to see all the dialogue trees actually finding all the secrets and seeing all the hidden bits requires dozens of game runs.
Even then there is likely something you will have missed.

Though I will fully admit to being too much of a weenie to do the genocide run myself. I'm not the best at 'bullet hell' type games and after watching a lets play of that side of the game I can fully say I'm glad I didn't.

I hadn't seen 311 before. Johnathan Young I've heard before but its always nice to see again.

With your mention of steven universe I wonder if you've heard Caleb Hyles version of Stronger than you? Its fairly fun.
He's also got a version of the undertale song 'His theme' which is a gut punch of feels. Also massive spoilers on that one.

A shame. I was fortunate enough to be able to play the game blind.
It relies a lot on that first run to give a memorable impact.
I knew I was hooked when..

Seriously a spoiler.:

I killed Toriel on accident and restarted. Then got called on it in dialogue cues by that character and then Flowey when he showed up next.
That little flowers dialogue was dead on.

I've also been finding the fan remixes of the soundtrack to be on average of high quality.
This guy has done metal covers of the boss songs.

Calistra cleric Though it seems to be mechanical advice.

RP wise I'd ask how your character views her god.
The god herself is an unrepentant mishmash of concepts. Doing bad things to worse people and indulging in unrepentant acts of passion because for one who does such actions any day could be their last. Might as well live a little.
I mean if deadpool had a deity I'd bet this one would be a front runner on his list of picks.

@Furian

Blade of mercy is a religion trait requiring the worship of Sarenrae.
Blade of mercy
So that would not work in this instance as said character is a cleric of another god.

You also can't side step by starting out worshiping her.

-snip from the religion trait list on D20PFSRD--
Religion traits indicate that your character has an established faith in a specific deity; you need not be a member of a class that can wield divine magic to pick a religion trait, but you do have to have a patron deity and have some amount of religion in your background to justify this trait. Unlike the other categories of traits, religion traits can go away if you abandon your religion, as detailed below under Restrictions.

Stephanie winced as the sphere hit, looking away from the hiss of acid only to be greeted by eyes of something obviously not a mortal. She shivered once as the creature gave it her full attention.
What had mother said? To treat them with respect but understand their nature. One does not dine with an asp for it is their nature to bite as the scorpion does sting.
the pacing, the veiled threats. What does this looks like to you Stephaine?
After the creatures speech Stephanie nods and makes a point to ensure eye contact with the creature before speaking.
" The actions I took were not meant as insult Luelleschia, but it is the folly of many to not take the time to understand what it is they do. I apologizes for my act to reveal you but it is readily apparent that your words were made in falsehood as well. I had to ensure my allies were not walking into a trap."
With that she looks to the trapped being bindings and back to her companions. A predator in a trap, with ones it called prey drawing in one its wounded body is what I see here.
" I once asked my mother about demons, a particularly frightening dream had pushed me to such dark questions. She informed me that all outsiders were beings to be treated with respect and caution. Mortals fear them because to such creatures we are prey, souls to be shucked of our mortal coil. However to fear them for that is the same as blaming the asp or the scorpion for when it stings. It is their nature after all."
The little gnome seems obviously uncomfortable but seems to steel herself anyway.
" To be imprisoned is a cruelty regardless of the creature but you must understand that giving you freedom would bring us into conflict again. This company is comprised of great warriors and potent sages to solve a greater threat. Freeing you would inevitably mean you as your nature encourages and harm or corrupt the mortals of this place. We would inevitably feel responsible for this.
Can you truthfully say that your rage would be sated in slaying the one who bound you here?"

With that the noble gives the creature in front of her a sad smile.
" While I cannot offer free reign of the material plane to you I feel that I might be able to give another option. If you were summoned here with arcane prowess then eventually that power will expire. However the ritual remains active until such that the creature summoned and bound agrees to the terms such a ritual imposes, that or the casters magic expires. Would you be willing to complete it if the terms were to the effect of you being permitted to enact vengeance on Omara, then immediately leave the material plane?" The spell caster asks in a questioning manner to leave no interpretation that at this current moment she was looking to complete the effect, if it was even there.

Stephanie is suggesting this last portion based on the idea that this creature was summoned here with an effect similar to Planar binding, that has the creature return home after whatever action the summoner had them do is complete. The idea being that Omara must have summoned this demon and been unable to press it into service. Subverting that process and having it submit to another spellcaster is slightly outside the bounds of the rules of the spell but thematically cool and gives Stephanie an option to approach this diplomatically.

Secondly looking at the circle is there anything Stephanie can glean from it? The circle would be aligned to the sort of creature that is trapped in the circle and if Omara knew it might even have the creature true name written in it.

What it is saying is that as either a move or swift action you can have the weapon you are holding trade places with one of the weapons in your Scabbard.

Sheathing a weapon is also a move action, this trick lets you both draw a new weapon and store your old one.
You can swap the weapon you have removed from the scabbard with any other weapon you are currently storing in the scabbard.
However if you drop the weapon the magic stops working and you need to sheath/unsheath that weapon.

The reason for this is to prevent this item from completely negating the Disarm combat maneuver for 5000gp.

Example:
fighter with Scabbard is fighting a monster.
A random rust monster appears!
Fighter trades his metal sword for an entirely wooden greatclub and smashes the sad bug.

On the topic of the thread.

If you can obtain the Lich template in game, for free?*
Possibly.

But if you are starting as a lich in a higher level game then you are effectively taking a power drop. Pathfinder did away with level adjustment but assuming your GM decides to balance the template in some manner beyond gold expenditure then you'll find it problematic.
The traditional ruling is Lich template is a +2 template, which means you drop a full spell level behind other full casters and are one level behind an equal level sorcerer for spell access.
Not worth it in my opinion.

One of the dozens of wealth abuse methods. My weapon of choice would be Teleport and a vast network of investments courtesy of the 'Master of the Ledger' feat. Also the option of abusing crafting rules to sell objects to NPC's or PC's to afford such an object.

On top of the options presented the Beast bonded Witch's L10 ability effectively turns both you and your companion into a shadow demon.
Magic jar has limitations but with the presence of feats Tailor made To solve that You can easily obtain immortality so long as you keep a body spare. Or just have you familiar possess the Tarrasque. Necromancy isn't a mind affecting ability after all.
And Twin souls being an ability that emulates Magic jar but is specifically stated as a Supernatural ability means you can jump spell resistance as well when accounting for barriers.

As to the Snowcone (Sim) wish chain, yes it is very silly.

Earlier access than Synth?
Not with a true teleport effect, no.

A L4 magus can access the spell Bladed Dash. The Wand mastery arcana lets you use wand/staffs with spell combat would mean you can then blink and full attack. You'd likely need to wait a few levels to be able to access a L2 wand as treasure but assuming you use it every other round in combat such an object would last for a long enough time to make a second one a viable purchase.
It would also let you blink around the battlefield in precisely the method you describe. Yes it has limits, but it come on line much quicker and only requires one ability (Wand Mastery) to work.
You could also make due with preparing all your L2 slots as that spell to avoid spending money.

Massive damage touch spells would take the place of sneak attack, though you could easily do the "Flow-y sneak-y sword-y" thing by picking up either dervish dance or slashing grace. *also waiting and just picking up an agile weapon.*
If your GM is generous with point build getting the STR for power attack or begging to see if Piriahna strike would work with your chosen weapon would serve to bring your normal attack damage in line with a rogues on top of the kill move of shocking grasp or other nasty touch spells.

I'd go vanilla Magus. However the Kensai magus is an option if you want more of a focus on melee over spells. Fancy exotic weapons are always cool and the added bonus of Int to AC means if you can survive the first few levels as an unarmored magus you can have a very fun time in the L4-11 range.
You might ask your GM if Slashing Grace permits a weapon to be used with weapon finesse, Crit fishing with a Falcata with the Kensai Crit boosting ability could make for some fun times.

Yes I edited as I felt my comments about your player were a bit out of line. There is no reason for me to imply that your veteran player is some manner of backwards gaming grognard but it looks like he could use a bit of an adjustment as to the level of "Grimdark" in his fantasy. At least for pathfinder games.

When talking about paladins the immediate literary example I use as an example is Michael Carpenter of the Dresden files. An honorable man, A strong man but certainly not one to look down his nose at others or immediately punish others for not following his deity's interpretation of the world.

You might provide him with examples of what you consider is a "holy warrior" in a setting where not everything is attempting to murder you and your society has not been stuck in a calcified feedback loop of mysticism and ignorance for ages.

Okie dokie, here is the Paladin oaths of Sarenrae.
which I beleive comes from one of the Faiths books or Champions of purity.
(I found it on the Archives of nethys website)

Paladin Code

The paladins of the Dawnflower are fierce warriors, like their goddess. They provide hope to the weak and support to the righteous. Their tenets include the following adages.

I will protect my allies with my life. They are my light and my strength, as I am their light and their strength. We rise together.
I will seek out and destroy the spawn of the Rough Beast. If I cannot defeat them, I will give my life trying. If my life would be wasted in the attempt, I will find allies. If any fall because of my inaction, their deaths lie upon my soul, and I will atone for each.
I am fair to others. I expect nothing for myself but that which I need to survive.
The best battle is a battle I win. If I die, I can no longer fight. I will fight fairly when the fight is fair, and I will strike quickly and without mercy when it is not.
I will redeem the ignorant with my words and my actions. If they will not turn toward the light, I will redeem them by the sword.
I will not abide evil, and will combat it with steel when words are not enough. I do not flinch from my faith, and do not fear embarrassment. My soul cannot be bought for all the stars in the sky.
I will show the less fortunate the light of the Dawnflower. I will live my life as her mortal blade, shining with the light of truth.
Each day is another step toward perfection. I will not turn back into the dark.

But it sounds like your paladin player is acting perfectly fine. As the rest of these fine forum goes are suggesting its more of a problem with your warpriest player and it needs to be resolved out of game.

For the reasons Nyx has mentioned.
It has the limitations of not coming online until L4 but after it hits that level it is better in basically every way.
The Magus arcana I talked about lets you grab swashbuckler tricks and use Arcane pool points to fuel them. Which is a horrible trade off but it lets you grab precise strike even if you'll never use the panache expenditure.

For the Daring champion Challenge being an untyped bonus stacks with Precise strike and unlike precise strike will multiply on a critical hit.
As the caviler does not rely on charisma for any of the swashbuckler abilites they obtain (aside from amount of panache) one can tank charisma boost wisdom and make some very interesting combos.
So you can tank your charisma, invest in the Extra panache feat and act like you had a 16 cha for the sake of it.
Never mind the fact that with the Panache feather magic item at 1000gp a pop the idea of actually running out of panache is laughable at higher levels.

Order of the Flame and order of the Cockatrice are two you might find fun for what you want to do.

@Nyx / unresolved plot lines.

I'd actually been planning on dealing with those as well. Though my methods would have been decidedly more over the top.

Jumal- was not aware of his existence.
Maklo- Alexia can shrink her familiar and send it into the Jail with a intensified shocking grasp attached. DC60-ish CDG fort save is unlikely to be survivable.
I'd been planing to just light the Murdochs house on fire with my shrunken accelerant. fires at each of the exits encouraged by 60 odd gallons of oil will mean everyone in the building dies quickly. If not see above plan for Maklo.

I'd actually been planning on making an attempt to have Firyin's death look like it was done by Radgar and merchants. Planting proof on either his corpse or close by. This would serve the dual purpose of giving the a red herring to the Butcher (so he doesn't come to murder us) and ensuring we have a good idea where he will be going next. (to find out who is attempting to frame him for things he hasn't done)
Catching the butcher and bringing him to our version of justice would serve to establish quite a lot of credit with Mistress Diguri. Might even stop the gang war in process. Oh and it would make the Mage group look like a bunch of buffoons, which is nice.

@Drovic

Black tentacles, Dim door, charm monster and enervation are all good options. Also scrying.

With how long the charm hex lasts I'd say it is unqiuely terrible as a hex.
The scar hex would let you heal us at range or easily scry on people.
Not sure if Ascension would let you have it but the Mud witch Hex is amazing for escape entry purposes.
Ooze form is really hard for a building to defend against.

I'm referring to the fact that due to there were enough refugees on the roads to severely impair our travel north that people listened to our warnings. The packed up shop and Burned their fields before they left The elves might not have seen one town but there are many others in the area. I cannot see how a hunter tribe of elves would be unable to see the effects of that.

Swirls mist glances to Borrum "She was speaking to me in the language of the green. It is a language all who are empowered by the land share. For understanding and a means to know others who act in the lands interests." The druid explains as he frowns slightly.
"She is uninterested in lending the humans aid and has heard nothing of the red hand. A typical position for the elves of the swamp to take.
I am unsure as to our direction for the future, as I said to the leader I intend to speak with Galdamor and the humans to give both proof to my words and to find a path forward."

with that he growls slightly and looks out the huts opening.
"As to my kind, I would perfer to avoid fighting them if I can but not all the lizardfolk of the swamp are my former kin. For now we must see what the others say."

With that the druid produces two jars of dust and looks to the elf leader for a response to his question on the topic of his spell.
Starting the conference call.
With a low mournful noise undulating in song the druid weaves his arms over the jar he holds steady in his lap. The contents making peaks and waves in response to his gestures.
He speaks names and the dust spikes upward with each one.
Those holding onto jars of dust like Swirls mist had told them to hear a strange noise like wind howling over sand. before settling into a growling vocalization.
"Greetings. This is Swirls mist, who answers my call on this day?"

Swirls mist finishes his morning rituals, following the elves to their leaders home.
The Lizardfolk keeping quiet as the leader speaks and Borrum answers.
"Speaker, I cannot help but notice you do not question our mention of the Red Hand. Does this mean you have seen the smoke on the horizon or do you disbelieve us as well?"
The lizardfolk frowns as he glances to the distraught High Singer
"The beast we encountered was a green scaled monster similar to one we fought a few weeks ago at Skull Bridge, it also had an acid ability. That these creatures have only now arrived and the scales they bear makes this no accident."
The Lizardman then looks to the hunter Killar

To discuss the events happening here and establish a plan for the immediate future. I believe the assumption is that devils sight grants normal vision in darkness. and the ability to see through 30ft of magical darkness.
this is brought about because of the existence of the See the Unseen invocation which grants 60ft dark vision and permanent see invisibility at the same range at the same level.
Seems really counter intuitive for the ability to be so obviously inferior, so the idea that Devil's sight works like that has spread. Looking around on the topic im not too sure.
I really don't see an issue in throwing the warlock class a bone though, though many get scared of its at will abilities the class is painfully under powered in comparison to normal classes. Letting them have something interesting

The sure fire method of "infinite" range dark vision is Planar touchstone feat/ Catalogues of enlightenment for access to some obscure evil domain that grants devil sight.
At least that is what the internet tells me. won't work here as I'm fairly certain the planar handbook does not fall under the umbrella of 'environmental' books for this game.

Swirls mist sighs
"It is not something I felt to share in the long days we have had but know that there are more who live in this land than just condescending elves. Once I was one of the scaled ones who lived in the Blackfens. I no longer have a family name from them but I am still of the land. That creatures scales, acidic breath and overall strangeness makes me think that the Red Hand have something to do with it. Working with the elves is a lesser concern to letting whatever that creature was live in this land and breed. If it is your desire to remain you are welcome but I will be going to see what the leader of these elves have to say. Carry a jar of dust with you so we can easily determine where to meet."

Swirls has no intention of staying here, he really dislikes these bird people (If you'll recall back at the beginning he made references to having brought down aerial combatants before. This right here? That reference staring us in the face. Fortunately Swirls mist has got wisdom out the wazoo so I can justify a pragmatic view of friend and foe.

"Galdamor, are we going or staying? Much as I dislike them the elves and their mounts are going to be faster by far than we will be in travel. They could have very easily kill us all but descended to speak instead. Do you feel we have to the time to spend that refusing such quick travel would permit? Much as they do not believe it the Red hand marches onward."
The Lizardman asks, obviously still displeased but seeming more inclined to ride the birds than slog through the shallows of the bog.

It died like catches crows, and its master as well. A fate I would not wish on the most bitter of enemies
And seems to visibly release whatever fury he held in at the moment, evaporating like fog to the rising sun.
" know that whoever it is you seek they no longer appear to be here. Before you arrived and after the creature left we had a few minutes to search. There are no corpses here other than the birds. If you come seeking vengeance then I will tell you everything I saw of the creature that did this."
The lizardman states with a lingering strain of hatred in his voice.
" This is a fate I would not wish on any being, one of my companions died a similar fate as I watched. I hope you choke to death on a fish bone Elf but know that I will endeavor to kill any creatures like that I see."

That is a concerning amount of arcane power for a simple traveling mage in greyhawk. has to be at least CL7 possibly 8 to pop off 4 magic missiles.

At the Blockade
Almost immediately after the hobgoblins on the roof fall to the combined fury of bird and ape swirls mist returns to lizard form.
Bloodied, beaten lizard form.
Almost like he had been stuck by three trees moving at a fair clip.
The bloodied humanoid stands atop the structure as his companion rushes forward with concern for his master. Ignoring its own wounds.
Having taken 49 damage swirls mist is rather heavily wounded. 3hp remains.
"Anyone has wounds gather below me. I will channel a spell of healing. I- urgh- would like to begin its effects very soon. Those ogres strikes were mighty."

Cast Massed lesser vigor with his Lesser extend rod. 6 targets get fast healing 1 for 30 rounds. Swirls mist will then spend 1 charge from his wand of lesser vigor and heal 11hp. 8HP damage remains.

I'm not exactly pleased to be completely denied any chance to notice an ambush (because to have any reason to come out and attack me they would have needed one.)
With 10ft tall humanoids wielding clubs larger than they are popping out of a 10ft tall palisade.
Unless the gate magically does not take up a 5ft space like every other portion of this building then the Ogres are literally inside the wall to be where they are.
Ogre 2. (the one of the right) would need to move and attack in order to reach the spot he is, This would provoke from my ape on the wall due to it having 10ft reach and being directly above him in what is effectively a giant open wooden box. with a catwalk on the inside
Something I assume the Ogres missed in their haste to squish the magic bird.

@Borrum/ All who want past. As a tiny creature I can share spaces with creatures 2 or more size categories larger then me. I am not a hindrance to your movement.

AOO: 1d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 8 + 1 = 122d6 + 9 ⇒ (1, 1) + 9 = 11
Round 3 Ape
The ape then takes its turn to 5ft step and full attack the Ogre beneath it. Dropping the club to wail on the ogre with its natural weapons.
Bite: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 61d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Claw: 1d20 + 10 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 10 + 1 = 201d6 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
Claw: 1d20 + 10 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 10 + 1 = 141d6 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9

Round 3 Swirls
The bird hops back by 5 foot, bloodied and broken feathers hanging off its body in tufts. The creature begins to crow dangerously
Concentration check: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (7) + 13 = 20
It bobs and weaves in a distracting manner before releasing its spell in a solid wave of sound and snow engulfing the fort for a few seconds.
Cast spell Frost Breath, Reflex halves failure also means creatures are stunned for one round. DC17
5ft stepping back hits both Ogres and all three fighters. I'm also inside the Gate tunnel now with a 5 foot step.

Frost breath: 3d4 ⇒ (4, 2, 2) = 8

The gnome says sadly glancing to the rest of her allies
"I assume you think he's right as well?" The gnome asks looking to the group but settling primarily on Miagnik.

EDIT:
Stephaine turns to her sister still quite obviously upset by the discussion. "Love... I suppose love has a lot to do with it Mae. That eye below us has answers, Hallister feels that whatever answers I might obtain from it would be at too much of a cost. Ok then. can I poop on him anyway?

"No whiskey..." The Gnome states, with a small waver in her voice. A small portion of her mind unsure.

"Anyway, to both of you. Yes I am aware of what is down there, I am aware of the danger involved. An animate locus of evil and sloth, a Lich of an Aboleth with unlife so long to be a one of Paggrul Strongarm's prayer story monsters rather than a known threat to the world. Many have lost their lives to itand I know their stories. And regardless of all that every story told is of Madmen who chose to try and force secrets of power out of the eye, I don't need power. But if we are to have any chance at surviving this we need find out the answers to the questions I have posed Hallister, Miagnik. The eye is a Locus of Apathy, it doesn't care and all I want to do is ask these questions to it. If it asks me for a favor I will not grant it, I will permit it now power over me. But that creature is also Bored and was speaking to us before. For all we know it might give us some of what we need because it has nothing better to do."
The Gnome says as she glances to the two who had chosen to speak.
"In addition to the religious references there are ones I know from my arcane studies. I know the dangers and again Hallister all I'm hearing from you right now is that your Order and your convictions are more important than the lives of the people of this island. If your so hidebound to follow your Order then I'm already due a dagger for speaking with and learning the secrets of an undead. The ghost of Chief Heelgodd." Stephanie says with a look of irritation
"Or does he not count because he was nice to us?" The gnome asks with grinding anger.

The Midori grits teeth and raises one fist in anger.
"Give me the soul lost to the winds which permits this body to walk this plane without crubling.[Bigger]Give me back my Name High Priest!"
Schonrzel has the idea that her body is one of the dead ones down below, the reason the Necromanticly created puppet which she now pilots hasn't collapsed here is due to that absence. She is the ghost of a Goblin that has nearly died once and truly died as well. So she is trying to rip that out of the Soultaker Jakk thing. She could very easily be entirely wrong. Swirls mist's gaze turns cold at the catfolks command, the lizardfolk seeming ready to say something before the group decides to aid the townfolk. The druid nods to his companion and both druid and ape approach. The druid cautiously chooses only the heaviest and sturdiest looking of the wounded to direct his ape companion to carry to the wagons. The ape being made to place the rather massive oak tree trunk it had picked up in the last day of hard travel to avoid the chance of it dropping on someone and killing them.

Swirls mist will keep an eye out for wounded that could be targeted with Lesser Vigor (11hp) to bring them to a point where they can help rather than moaning in pain. Doubt many will but might as well bring up the idea.

Stephaine had faded to the background for most of the conversation as her thoughts once again turned inward.
She had blushed, once at being recognized in a positive light over her sister. Again and deeper at Miagnik's opinions of her.
"But he holds a very good point, we represent a conflux of sorts. Could we use this to fuel Lady Fredrosse's intents at peace talks. No.. No that wouldn't work not as the balances are now. Even if we save her the balances will just get worse. The spider priestess Galinea said that the goblins thought Maelodahk dead, Chief Heelgodd spoke with us over other goblins. What of...
In the motion of the guests in the house Stephanie stepped back, Whiskey plucking at a feather on his wing perched on a mantle.
On the door closing and the group turning thoughts back to the tasks at hand Stephaine seems to make a decision.
"No.. No I don't think setting a trap in all this is going to help us. We need to remember that it is not one singular foe we face but three. Omara has her own forces she commands, there is the Goblin priests whipping the tribes into a war frenzy with their false deity Zeenthia. Then there is the Vampire queen herself, who wields the most fearsome power of them all with the sheer implacable nature of her forces. With that she utilizes her abilites with magic and draws simple images of the three faces of the threat on the floor. One with a generic dwarf labeled Omara, Another with a goblin face labeled Zeenthia and the last a human with the words Perretta Antollette Kruskova wrapping around it the title 'Vampire Queen' placed over it.
"Chief Heelgodd said as much but if we remove the Priests of Zeenthia from power in the goblin tribes we remove on of the threats so long as we can prove to them we seek to lift the curse. There is a false goblin king named Vardug, if the cretin we questioned about him is telling the truth many of the Goblin chieftans we captured and brought to the vampire queens palace to ensure he stays in power. He also said to seek the followers of Een'Droth and Fath'Reen the goblin deities, that they would bring the conflict of this age to an end."
The gnome states as she places a line from the Goblin Zeenthia image to another token labeled 'Priests' with a red sever mark between the two.
The image of a bugbear with an arow through its temple also appears with 'Vardug' over top.
Two more tokens labeled with the Goblin Deities Een'Droth and Fath'Reen appearing as well.
" Chief Heelgodd also said that there is a way to ensure the Vampire queen rests. he said

Chief Heelgodd wrote:
'She must be stopped, but she must also be freed from her curse, and to do that you must return all of the wedding gifts that have been taken from these tombs over the centuries, and you must find her lover, and when he and the Vampire Queen are joined forever by the power of a god that loves their people, only then will the curse be broken and the forever dead released from this world.'

So we need to find the vampire queens lover, apparently one who was lost to the storms. I would not be surprised if one or either of the goblin gods already referenced could act as the God in question."

With that Stephaine adds more tokens connecting to the Vampire queen, the ritual, a line connecting to the already present goblin god tokens and another one trailing off with 'Lover?' written on it.
"Then we have Omara who we don't know the real plans of, spider priestess Galinea believes she wants to double cross the Vampire queen and gain power for herself. it is deeply intwinned in the ritual she is helping the vampire queen with.

With that diatribe Stephanie looks up from the drawing she had made and to the her allies. One hand on her head she glances upward as Whiskey pipes up
Mistress... your drawings, they do nothing. You should make your point because I don;t understand what you said and I'm certainly smarter than the mouse thief over there.
Stephanie frowns at the feathered annoyance before going back to her budding plot
"Regardless what this all means is that Omara is a threat but unless we can remove her value to the plan the Vampire queen will defend her. If we don't oust the False goblin king and deal with the priests even if we defeat the Vampire queen and delay what will happen it will get worse. With Omara out of power the Goblins will war with the Dwarves, then the Vampire queen will come back like all of her minions because she is still cursed."
With that Stephaine highlights the goblin tokens and gestures
" I think we need to deal with the goblins first, Going back and rescuing the Goblin leaders would be one way but I'm fairly sure Si.. Maelodahk could challenge the false king and on his defeat enact changes. However we need to defeat the priests before we go after the king as he is a puppet for the masses rather than an actual leader. With that the followers of Een'Droth and Fath'Reen would likely find us rather than the other way around."

That does sound entirely possible, I refer to him as such here due to hextor having the Portfolio of Tyranny in his Wiki. Also Domination domain.

Though Benevolent Dictator Hextor would certainly be easy to sell Swirls Mist on what with his rather primal spirit worship. It isn't much of a stretch to point out that natures survival of the fittest is one of the core tenants of the Scourge's religion.
*shifty glance*
Not to say that there are not other interpretations of that idealology but such is life.

Old 3.5 PC of mine was a Cleric of Hextor with a harpoon and a zombified dragon mount. We went to a floating sky fortress of good and said PC caused all sorts of 'Technically legal' maneuvering. After all not all might is in the body, cunning bring its own rewards.

Yeah, Swirls Mist was entirely willing to let them pass but I was slow on the draw. I was hoping to show that IC with Swirls mist seemed to silently agree with Rigo. Even when the lizard man is still upset with the cat man for his treatment of the Druids animal companion.

I'm assuming its Galdamor's Adherence to Law and Marru's to his promise to defend the people of this land that they don't let the looting stand.
Then you have Borrum who is just itching for a fight. Though Galdamors reasoning could easily also be the less savory urges the god of Tyranny and Subjugation inspires in his favored.

In game Swirls mist isn't going to question it in front of enemies. Could be good discussion fodder as we travel up the road though.
