In this case the intended rule is that you are only in a stance during Combat. While RAW would allow for you to spend your whole life in crane style, RAI is rather clear that you don't. The indicator that this is the intended interpretation is that it clearly states you can't use the feat out of Combat.
This becomes a debate on RAW vs RAI. The temple is immense, but the scale of the battle seems to clearly support whatever purpose this temple once served requiring such an immense facility. The issue that I have with this map really is the temple's lack of guts. Sure, there are columns to hold the roof up, and a sacrificial chamber, but that pretty much sums up the inside.

Also of note, it feels as if there is a mismatch between the temple and the remnants of the battle around it. The Abyssal war engine makes this seem to be an evil army attacking a "good" temple being defended by celestials, but then you included sacrificial wells inside the temple. Basically, there is a story here, and likely a Mythic one, but it feels as if it is very convoluted.
This map as a whole evokes a grand battle between celestials and demons, but really seems to fall short on execution. I agree that the pyramid would be a bit of a waste if it is in fact empty.

The only real issue I noticed is the entrance to the secret library is depicted in two different spots. The elevation design shows the entrance on the bottom landing, where as the actual map for the secret library depicts the entrance on the second landing. The map overall is very good, and could be easily fixed, though.
I like the map, and I believe it has a decent amount of detail present.
Whenever an adjacent foe attempts to take a 5-foot step away from you, you may also make a 5-foot step as an immediate action so long as you end up adjacent to the foe that triggered this ability. If you take this step, you cannot take a 5-foot step during your next turn. If you take an action to move during your next turn, subtract 5 feet from your total movement.

I would say that, no, you can not take your 5-foot step on another players turn, even if it is classified as "no action"

This entire situation is muddied a bit by the fact that the example for Attacks of Opportunity on 181 of the core rulebook states that a 5-foot step is a free action. Not that this affects that actual rules in the book and other tables, just that it is a bit odd.
Since a feat exists called Step-up that specifies that:
