Are you right in kicking him? I believe so. You've gone above and beyond by dealing with his shit on a continuous basis. If you want to take another step or two, here is what I would do.

First, when you are gaming, have the rule of Open rolling. Everyone rolls out in the open and may NOT touch the dice or move it until at least one other person takes a look at it. If it is snatched away before the result is confirmed it's an automatic reroll. Consistent snatching up results in a ban. Most players will have no problem with this at all. The ones that do are hiding something and that is an even better reason to enforce the rule.

Secondly, when ruling, if there is a question on an ability, the person using the ability in question has 30 seconds to look it up or their character is in delay until they do and can show you. 30 seconds doesn't seem like a lot but it keeps the flow of the game. You can of course give lee-way up or down if you desire. The alternative to this is making a GM call and telling the player unless he can show you where it says it does what he says then your call stands.

Since starting to play PFS I've had to use these rules, though slightly aggravating it has saved my sanity more than once. Hope this helps.

I absolutely love Pathfinder. The fact of the matter is, they've taken a game with a LONG history and kept the spirit of the game alive while listening to the critiques of their customers. They have a fantastic business model that I believe works wonderfully well. If it wasn't for Paizo, I'd still be scrounging for 3.5 players and wouldn't have met all the wonderful people I have today.

I love how active the people of Paizo are on the forums and how the game itself runs. Are there bugs in the system? Of course. Do I want them to release a new system? Hardly. I am an avid fan of the 3.5 system and Pathfinder has rekindled my desires to write, to create, and to GM. Paizo has done a wonderful job and I for one love Pathfinder for being what it was meant to be. An upgrade to 3.5 with Paizo's own flair and finesse.

Huge shout out and thanks to James Jacobs, Mike Brock, and everyone else working so hard to bring us a wonderful game!

Any character of mine that has a loving and decent childhood with parents that are STILL alive. o.o How is that odd! Or is it the fact that my "Wizard" (Sage Bloodline Sorcerer) still has a good relationship with his parents and occasionally has dinner with them when he's able to?

In my personal opinion, Paladins are suppose to be Lawful Good, NOT Lawful Stupid. As long as the Player is actually TRYING, as in putting true and honest in game effort to be good and lawful, I let minor situations pass. That being said, if a Paladin player detects evil and notes someone as evil and then smites them, I pause the game and have them give me an explanation as to how detecting as evil automatically gives them the right to blatantly assault someone.

IF they can give me a good logical reason their character believes they should fight and kill the evil npc (Such as all hints and clues in the game have pointed to this one person being the bad guy) I will ask the Paladin player to remember that due to his alignment he needs to give the npc a chance to turn himself in.

However if he blatantly attacks, refuses to give an explanation or reasoning other than, "That NPC is detecting as EVIL!" then that violates his Paladin oaths of following the law and he will lose his powers after he finishes his attack.

That is just how I've GM'd it in the past. Paladins are not Murderhobos. They are Good guys trying to do good things, and yes their alignment is one of the hardest to work with for a lot of people but I'll say this, some of my favorite players have at one time or another played a Paladin and have done it well! I am alright with a Paladin falling especially if the player says it's how he plays his character. I'm not going to stop them, but then they shouldn't be upset if they grossly violate what it means to be Lawful Good and become a fallen Paladin.

Just my 2 cents...carry on. :D

When you're a lvl 2 sorcerer and you're playing a 1-5 with 4 pre-gens...and no one picked Kyra. I was the HEALER O.O

Here's one that actually happened, in a PFS game with a not-that-kind-of-bard:

Player, during combat: "Hey, how about some Inspire Courage over here?"
NTKOB: "Sorry, I'm not that kind of bard."
Player 2: "Okay, how about helping us with the fight, then? I see you've got a sword..."
NTKOB: "Sorry, I'm not that kind of bard. I withdraw and go full-defense."
Player 3: "These guys have invisibility--do you know Glitterdust?"
NTKOB: "No offensive spells; I'm not that kind of bard."
Player 4, after the combat: "I've got a Wand of Mage Armor; can you UMD it?"
NTKOB: "Sorry, I'm... well, you know."
Much later, in a tricky NPC encounter: "Looks like we need some Diplomacy here. Bard?"
NTKOB: "Nope."
"Bluff?"
NTKOB: "No."
"Sense Motive?"
NTKOB: "Sorry."
"Knowledge checks?"
NTKOB: "Not today, sir, no. We usually get knowledges in fresh on Mondays. Today, the van broke down."

Entire party: "You do HAVE some bard abilities, right?"
NTKOB: "Err...."

We never did find out what he was actually capable of doing.

Anyone else realize he was doing a Monty Python joke? Cheese Shop XD
