For awhile, I was worried about us going for a swim. Good game!

Mariana rushes over to Begrilda's side, "Is our Prince alright?"

Seeing the minotaur's stirrings, confidant in her companion's ability, Mariana's mind begins to wander about the sanctum. Is that a bookshelf over there?

"Oh! I hit him!"

Mariana carefully aims again, trying to keep the elf's position in her mind's eye.

Mariana looks up at the ladder, and at the fog. "Well, nevermind that idea."

She moves into the fog cloud where it touches the ground and fires blindly at where she recalls the elf hanging.

Mariana continues to the northmost end of the catwalks and prepares to start climbing.

"Do you have other friends that can, Kitt?"

I did intend to be where I am, I just meant to acknowledge his height above the ground.

Mariana moves up under the elf and takes a closer look.

"I'd really rather not be swimming here, friends. Luurg, can you give a girl a boost?"

Mariana groans, "More puzzles! I didn't think I could get sick of puzzles. How does this door work?"

Mariana rubs her eyes and squints, "Yeah, I think so. But, this place is messing with my head."

Mariana steps forward and continues to ready her spell, "Just a bit closer!"

"Oh, my head. I'm not sure any of this is real any more." Mariana complains. "Whispers in the Void. Shadows of Reality. Ugh."

When she sees the worm on Eadric she cries out, "Oh no!"

Mariana rubs her temples and squeezes her eyes tightly shut. "I am not looking forward to more of this maze."

"Hey! Where does it think it's going?" She fires an acid splash at the retreating creature.

Mariana's head is still swimming with symbols and runes. In her delirium she decides to move up close to the creature in order to study it better. "Oh my, what what do we have here?!" She draws her dagger as she moves.

I posted a series of checks. I hope my decision criteria for using a bonus made sense. Mariana has a wicked headache now.

I will take Wis damage for +5 on the roll after I roll below 5 on the dice up to three times.

Mariana continues through the maze, relying on the guidance of her friends.

"This place is astounding! But, it is making my head hurt." she squints her eyes against the distortion, "Still, I think I can figure it out. It reminds me of a large magic sigil."

She takes the wand to examine it.

"Hmm. I don't know what this will do. Want to try it and find out?"

"Yes, you were right, Luurg. But, it seems our prince is in trouble. We should make haste!"

Mariana moves forward at the sight of interesting new specimen to document, holding her pen high.

"What do we have here? Local fauna?!"

Mariana casts light on her inkpen as the group enters the underground complex. As they navigate the caverns, she attempts to take notes.

"Was that left back there closer to 60 or 75 degrees, do you think?"

When Luurg points out the footprints, she seems skeptical, "What people would be down here?"

"And what about this artifact? Can you tell us more about it?"

Mariana is ready. Explore the maze, find the minotaur. Should be easy!

"Under Absolom? How do we get to it?"

Mariana does like to be thorough with her questions

Oh, Begrilda, we can take notes together!

Does the lorestone count as an artifact for the purpose of Faction journal card goals?

From the description of Delirium's Tangle, I think I will stick with Mariana. She'll enjoy the challenge of a maze much more than Quan Tai would. Plus, she'll level after another scenario!

I'm interested. My character might depend on the game, but I'd like to play my monk again.

Mariana gratefully accepts the lorestone from Eadric and quickly wraps it in her bedroll and stashes the bundle in her backpack. "Don't want all this work going to waste. I think we'll learn a lot from this thing!"

Mariana struggles against the grasping vines, but is unable to escape. Unwilling to miss her chance, she attempts to cast color spray at the quickling.

Would an enlarge person on Eadric make the swim check easier?

Mariana smiles at the dwarf and squares her shoulders, "Thank you, Begrilda. Worrying about the secret knowledge that might be lost with the lorestone is quite exhausting. I just hope we don't have to swim." she shudders.

"Oh, I haven't been up this late in some time. Whew."

"If the sun comes up, they could destroy the lorestone. I don't think we should take the chance. Let's leave now."

Mariana grabs Hemzel's journal and gestures with it, "We came here to talk to Hemzel about his lorestone, but now it is missing. His notes say it is keyed to the druid circles and mentions one just a few hours north on a lake. Do you know where that is? I think they want to destroy it."
