I would note that the campaign setting is almost certainly moving to the new year, you probably want to hold off on that.

Great. Disregard this request then.

I want to skip the updated Campaign Guide. So, unless there is a another way to do it, please cancel my Chronicles Subscription so that I can resubscribe and skip the Guide.

Thank you.

The Exchange

I just noticed that mine says the same thing. My February subscription items are not listed in My Subscriptions or my Order History. The minis and dice I added to the monthly shipment have moved to Pending but everything else is missing. (AP #30 and Guide to the River Kingdoms)

Please fix! :)

PS: I would prefer that they get shipped out this month with the other stuff and not added to next month's subscription order.

PPS: I just noticed my payment method expired. I have updated it with current information.

Sean K. Reynolds weighed in on this very subject a while back. Here's a link to his rant.

They have one for Star Wars too, these ARE too funny.

That is what I did... And I hate this but I lowered the difficulty to Easy..

I am actually enjoying it more now that the Difficulty is Easy. I can now pay more attention to the story and less worry about dieing all the time.

Next run through I will do a higher difficulty.

Do you have the 1.01 patch installed? It made the Normal difficulty less brutal. I almost lowered the difficulty to Easy before that patch came out. I would lose 2 characters per battle most of the time and would get TPK's constantly.

Got the shipping notice for my Bestiary from Amazon today, even though it said Nov 13th yesterday. In case anyone was interested. :)

+1 to one Ability score of the player's choice at 4th, 8th, 12th, 16th, 20th level.

I don't have the book in front of me and I can't find where it actually tells you what the bonus is in the d20pfsrd so it might be an omission unless it's somewhere else.

Where did Amazon ship your copy from? I am in Ohio and they shipped it from Kentucky which is a lot closer to me than Washington state.

When will the Midwestern Paizo warehouse be opening? I am looking forward to faster shipping ;)

The Dark Eye: Drakensang is decent.
The Witcher is great too.

The Exchange

The book clearly states that:
"Some of the pieces of adventuring gear found on Table 6–9 are described below, along with any special benefits they confer on the user (“you”)."

I took that to mean. "We didn't provide descriptions for self-explanatory items with no special rules/benefit to save space in this massive book."

To be fair though, the containers (e.g. backpack, belt pouch) should probably have their capacities listed somewhere (I haven't read the whole thing, so it could be in there somewhere)

The Exchange

I think it's a case of people fearing what they don't understand. That, and a TREMENDOUS amount of misinformation that's going around. It's hard to get correct info with all the bias in the media.

The Exchange

You can download it as soon as you have received notice that your card has been charged and your order has shipped.

Anyone else having trouble with the PDF's bookmarks not working when you click on them?

Tried both Acrobat Reader 9.1.2 and Foxit Reader 2.3

Sometimes you have to weigh the time spent trying to get rid of it versus the time it would take you reformat and reinstall Windows. Sometimes nuking it from orbit IS the only way to be sure.

Avira AntiVirus (free version www.avira.com) is very good along with SUPER ANTI SPYWARE (http://www.superantispyware.com)

Any chance of getting these into planet stories? They are sometimes hard to find in new paperback form. I order scifi for a public library, and I would like to order a new set. I understand from Wikipedia that the first 5 volumes are no longer copyrighted in the U.S.

If it's okay for me to say here, you can get the series from the Science Fiction Book Club collected in 4 volumes.

Is it just me or does JJ Abrams LOVE shaky-cam work? I HATE HATE HATE shaky-cam except in specific circumstances. (At least in Cloverfield it made sense.) Even some of the NON-ACTION scenes were shaky for no good reason. For this reason, I was VERY disappointed. I thought we had moved past making everything shaky by now. UGH!

Did I mention I HATE shaky-cam?

Except what you back up may be infected...

That might be true, but what are your alternatives? Delete all of your files? Obviously if you have a backup copy that's not on your computer, you should restore it from a backup, otherwise you just have to make backups of the essentials (like WoTC PDFs) and scan them with everything you can think of.

I use CLAMWIN personally with Spybot and Adaware. Seems to keep my PC clean.

The Exchange

You can try the removal tool from Symantec

Vundo Removal tool

If that doesn't work:

Back up everything you want to save.
Then:
Nuke it from orbit, it's the only way to be sure.

Then reinstall Windows.
Or install Linux.
Or setup a virtual machine in Windows and do all your web surfing on there. (Google is your friend on this one).

Saw part of Apache vs. Gladiator last week (will look for the rerun to see the whole thing), am about halfway through the Samurai vs. Viking and am looking forward to next week's Spartan vs. Ninja. Cool show. I could totally see wanting to base a character off some of the weapons and styles they show. Definitely a good way to add flavor to a fighter. Double spears for the win!

Tuesdays at 10pm on Spike TV. You can also stream the show from the website.

A Linguistics professor of mine back in the day felt the same way about spelling vs. pronunciation. She was a big proponent of switching all languages to phonetic spelling to help alleviate some of the issues of learning a foreign language.

To answer the question, there would have to be a good financial reason to switch to a language authority. Forcing the stock markets to switch might be a good start but you would probably have better luck if you started with Hollywood and the media.

Not sure about the son, but he is no longer Logan because he now remembers his past (detailed in Wolverine: Origins comic). His name is James Howlett. Worth checking out if you are into Wolverine, shows him from childhood (which appears to be in the new movie as well).

Here is a wikipedia article on his son Daken

There are no character traits in Osirion. Is this a good thing or a bad thing? We're still experimenting with the type of content we're putting into the Companions, after all, and we weren't sure if having character traits in every one would get old or what.

So yeah, no traits in Osirion. Is this good or bad?

I read over the PDF last night, and I'm seriously happy with how it looks. I didn't think I'd get away with Lamashtu's Flower as written.

That said, if anyone has any questions for the first half of the book, I'll happily take 'em. And I'd love any comments, critique, or even criticism of the first half (which are the sections I wrote). I'm eager to see how the book is received, since it's my first major project, and the subject was a bit of a break from my normal playground of planar topics. Besides, comments and such will help me get better.

Maybe it's just me, but in some places it feels like you may have gone a little thesaurus crazy, mostly on the first couple of pages.

Other than that, I like what I have read so far!

The Exchange

I am a little disappointed with some of the grammar on the first page.

1st paragraph, 1st sentence:
"A nation of prideful people who till the current century chafed under the yoke of foreign rule...." {should be until, not till}

3rd paragraph,

"...dying a slow death through complacency for most of a millenia..."
{millenia is plural, should be millenium}

Not normally an issue but just rubbed me the wrong way since it was on the very first page.

The Exchange

Send in the one that will win. ;)

I think this is a cool idea. Daggers need some love. I just watched "Legend of the Seeker" the other day and watching Kahlan fight with 2 daggers is pretty awesome and deadly.
