(3 stars)Liamhttps://paizo.com/products/btq0232w?Pathfinder-Society-Scenario-117-The-Perennial-Crown-Part-2-The-Thorned-Monarch2020-04-07T00:26:17Z
Pathfinder Society Scenario #1-17: The Perennial Crown Part 2, The Thorned Monarch

I've tried to submit a longer review about four times now. It keeps being convinced that I shouldn't submit it.

The story: 1-16 and 1-17 are both great, different, and engaging. More like this Paizo.

The mechanics: great until the last fight.

Paizo, you really need to stay away from Super Giant Monster Showdown fights in PF2 at high level gaps. This brought the scenario to a grinding halt. Someone at the session said "So, this is just another giant boss showdown where we need to find the special weakness to win."

Honestly, it would have been more satisfying as a few smaller creatures than one large super-deadly encounter. In the hands of a less experienced or non-sympathetic GM, this is an easy TPK.

Still worthy of play, but you guys really need to work on the encounter balance.

Pathfinder Society Scenario #1-17: The Perennial Crown Part 2, The Thorned Monarch

I've tried to submit a longer review about four times now. (5 stars)Liamhttps://paizo.com/products/btpy9k92?Pathfinder-Society-Scenario-7-19-Labyrinth-of-Hungry-Ghosts2016-04-04T19:24:08Z
Pathfinder Society Scenario #7–19: Labyrinth of Hungry Ghosts (PFRPG) PDF

Ok, so let me start this off by saying this is a worthy successor to Hall of the Flesh Eaters. It sets the tone dark, the tension high and keeps it that way all the way to the end. Very good scenario in my book. Not for the folks who don't want to risk character death.

My only criticism is "why celestial?"

Pathfinder Society Scenario #7–19: Labyrinth of Hungry Ghosts (PFRPG) PDF

Ok, so let me start this off by saying this is a worthy successor to Hall of the Flesh Eaters. (2 stars)Liamhttps://paizo.com/products/btpy9cu1?Pathfinder-Society-Scenario-6-22-Out-of-Anarchy2015-07-04T05:34:37Z
Pathfinder Society Scenario #6–22: Out of Anarchy (PFRPG) PDF

This is probably a victim of a pre-gencon rush. Editing was a little rough on some parts. Bear in mind I read this end to end, twice before running it and wanted to run it "as is" before I made any guides for it.

This really has too many dials for the average party. The first part is very vague and very clunky - I read through this twice. I think this could have been accomplished in a much cleaner manner. You just don't give the party enough to go on, and the location events are just too subtle and vague. God help you if you you have Liberty's Edge players without a face character around.

After the first section, it was a little easier, but the plot was still confusing to the players. The fact that EVERY section had a recovery method to save the plot was a bit much.

Maybe limiting it to two opposing factions would have been a better idea. Also, the last fight would have been better with just a stronger calamari faction presence and no humans.

Also, many many "blowhole" jokes....

Pathfinder Society Scenario #6–22: Out of Anarchy (PFRPG) PDF

This is probably a victim of a pre-gencon rush.
