Lenna hesitates for a moment. She doesn't like the men's tone at all, and feels like she should probably do something. On the other hand, interfering now would probably blow everyone's cover. And that wasn't what they were supposed to do.

She therefore decides to deal with this tricky situation by walking out of it before it backfires.

But that really seems unlikely. They also told me that the cult controls all the government, from the city guards to Marshal Gavirk, the leader of Nirmathas."

Lenna makes a small pause:

"Honestly, that sounds very exaggerated. But maybe the rumors are not completely false. It seems entirely possible that the cult is involved in all kinds of illegal business."

After a brief pause, the halfling adds:

"May be better than becoming a Razmiran though. Those people sure don't look like cheery jolly fellows."

"Our ship just docked in Tamran's harbour, and these wounded guys were part of our crew. Thing is, they contribuated to a mutiny. Yesterday night one of our guys lured them and some others to try to take our boat, and well, I guess that greed and alcohol did the rest. As you can see, it didn't end up exactly as they planned," she chuckles. "Thank Desna, we fought back well. Anyways, we were close to town, so we thought best to tie them up and bring them to you. They may be a bit bruised -but hey, on the overall they're fine."

She takes a more serious air:

"Besides, there was something else. -the one who started it all-, we found that in his stuff. Looks like it was signed by a Molthuni. We thought you could be interested."

She must really like exploring boats...
Or maybe it's just the treasure.

"Less than ten seconds guys!" she jokes. "You're going for a record?"

She checks the two almost-in-one-piece pirates's pulses, wondering if they were still alive:

"These poor fellows picked up the wrong boat... And now we've got another one for free."

And that means... LOOT!

If I could distract them for just a few seconds...

Not sure if it is going to work: maybe she could use telekinesis with Mage Hand (if she can go unnoticed) to make noise with a small object to distract the thugs from the crates and the stairs

It takes Lenna a long minute to come back to her senses. The halfling groans, having the feeling that Tane excited and victorious screams were piercing through her skull. She quickly learns what happened.

"Congrats, Tane," she sighs. "Good reflexes. You saved the day."

Before getting back to work, she whispers some words to the ladies:

"There'll be no way of stopping him after that."

Surprisingly, Lenna is better at fishing than she probably thought. That doesn't prevent her from unintentionally throwing a net on Walren, playfully 'catching' the dwarf:

She eventually sees that Essa isn't really in the mood for fishing:

"What's up, my girl? Are you alright?"

"Wow," Lenna lets out an admiring whistle. "You basically scared off an ogre who's now running to its mama. That's... Either awesome or terrifying. Surely both. I mean... Wow."

She gets closer to the group.

"Darling," she answers to Tane. "The boat is in danger, whether it's going to be pulled under, sunk, or swallowed like a peanut. And unless you're the world's most polite opponent, I'd suggest firing first. And aiming well."

Suddenly, Lenna mutters some incomprehensible syllables, and her crossbow starts to shine...

Lenna giggles, and gives an amused look at Malya and Selene, as if to ask them: "Is he always like that?

"You're what you want to be, pal. But you might want to keep your feet on the ground- wait, what was that?"

Frowning, the halfling grabs and loads her crossbow, watching the big fishes.

She doesn't seem really reassured.

"Oh, yeah? As long as we can avoid getting attacked," she mutters; but she lets Essa do her stuff.

"Those fish are eels, the kind that hurt if you get near in the water. They seem afraid of something. Normally they are predators, so something big must be making them afraid. Hey everyone I would be ready for a really big fish or some other watery monster."

Lenna sighed.

"Great. You know, it's reassuring when things get worse, because for a moment, I almost thought I had overreacted at fishes. Don't stay too close to the water, guys!"

The halfling warns Walden:

"Hey cap'tain! There's probably a big creature coming right towards us!"

When available, Lenna is a cheerful companion, as if she was always in a good mood. She is definitely talkative, and sharp-tongued, liking to joke around. She often teases Tane; after some days in her company though, it is clear that she is mischievous and playful with people that she especially appreciates.

Although her seriousness and reliability can be questioned (because she is often slacking off), she sometimes shows a surprisingly pragmatic, down to earth attitude, and is quite good at precise work.

Her equipment is very basic, and she seems like the kind of person who likes to travel light. Her weaponry is more adapted to fight from afar. Her armor seems to be the only truly valuable object that she owns.

From the point of view of a warrior, she doesn't look like she has taken miltary classes, and followed a proper training. In a one-on-one battle, it would be easy to have the upper hand. But she certainly has already held a weapon in her hands, and knows how to aim a crossbow; you wouldn't risk turning your back on her.

Learning about Lenna's past is surprisingly difficult for someone so outgoing, as asking her questions reveals that she possesses a special talent for making up stories. Most of them are too far-fetched or too exaggerated to believe, others leave the interlocuter puzzled and suspicious; but it is clear that she greatly enjoys telling them, as the story changes each time Tane ask her a question.
