I enjoyed it!

There's some minor issues, mainly with me vs the system, but overall it was fun.

I liked the campaign and the npcs. The pieces in civilized areas was nice. But it really shone in the exploration of ancient stuff arcs. Felt appropriately pulpy and wondrous.

The PCs were all great fun :D

I disliked the weapon system. It felt a bit game-y. Kinda like those jrpgs where every weapon do random elemental damage and upgrades are just more adjectives on the same chassi. Sure it keeps one a bit on the toes, but it feels odd that damage vulnerability/resistance is more rng then something thought about. And that a knife does 1d8 damage, a Fancy Knife does 4d8 ect.

Minor thing really but it irks me :p

And that's certainly a starfinder thing - not an our campaign thing :)

It was beautiful and well within her rights! I just get sappy about heroic sacrifice and imagining my imaginary character missing the other imaginary character.

Buuuuuuuuuut that said... We might be rich and famous now. Surely there's some Speak With Dead magic available we can pester Cueta with and ask if there's actually trids in heaven? Or perhaps that would be their next adventure :D

Mm I'm torn.

On one hand I'd love to imagine Leila marveling at her Leila doll, snuggling with her Cueta blanket and visiting all the wonderful places Astri has teased.

On the other, I'm not sure how fun that's actually is to play out :p

I think an outro is fine by me. Perhaps a debrief by the starfinders, if such a thing exists? So we know we made it home at least :D

Leila cheerfully bounces up from her seat as their theme song overcomes the alarms. She makes a small pirouette to mimic Astri and cheers. "Yeah!! We're saving the woooooooooooooooooorld!!"

Everything was going their way! The evil plot thwarted, Fi was back(ish) and gods willing she'd get some time to poke around a bit more in the alien tech. Yay!! Nothing could surely sour her mood now ...

"... wah? Y-you're staying here?" The halfling stopped in her tracks, stunned by the revelation. She blinked a few times and tried to take it in. Yes. "Not going". That's what it meant. Slowly she turned into a small fountain as she properly processed the information and Cueta approached her.

"I-I'm not very good at goodbye..." she held the duster tightly and went in for a hug with her other arm. She didn't want to let her frozen popsicle friend go. "I h-hope they have trids in heaven, I'm going to quiz you w-when I catch up you hear! A-and take care."

She shifted to just clutching the duster - it was already perfect and didn't need no tailor - and slowly backed towards the escape pod. "I-its been nice. Farewell Cueta..."

I am fairly sure the DC is just high to high-ish by default, since it depends on the CR of the ship (20). That's what I went with at least and it seemed to work :p

Looking at the ship stats: we've definitely got most guns on the prow. So we want to fight them head on!

Also we probably have more guns then gunners...

Re 40+ DC - don't forget we got a computer bonus! 4x+10, which might make 40+ DC doable. Almost. Maybe. Hopefully! Leila will try! And a flat +2 on computer checks (-1 on pilot checks)

Improve Countermeasures (Helm Phase):
If you have at least 12 ranks in Computers, you can try to foil enemy targeting arrays and incoming projectiles by spending 1 Resolve Point and attempting a Computers check. The DC equals 5 + 1–1/2 × the tier of the target starship + its bonus from defensive countermeasures. I'll look up exactly how full attacks and haste works for my next turn. Together with weapon focus and astri's to hit bonus and the pistol with actual damage dice found earlier, that may actually be a better idea then trick attack .)
