Eidolon is sort of temporary...

Anyone with an Improved Familair can get their choice of several humanoid creatures including brownie, silvanshee, cassisian, homunculus and several others.

Homunculus are also available to Alchemists and I believe there are archetypes that focus on that.

There may also be something that can be done with clockwork creatures, I’m not sure.

It looks like a 10' leap down, but I'm not certain that would be silent. Polux might be better off creeping down the steps. Kito could most likely do the leap and be better off because of MAGIC! (and no training in stealth).

Kito casts a protective charm around herself before going into the next area.

Well then, some of the details have likely changed but the basic structure is the same.

They have gotten rid of faction missions, instead now having optional faction journal cards. I find the cards give people a good idea what the goals of the various factions are, even if you don’t track them it helps understand the factions.

APL may have changed, depending on when you last did it. The structure of the guide has changed quite a bit. There have been some clarifications. They also added a new Campaign Clarifications document to deal with some grey areas of the rules.

Yes, anyone can. It doesn’t even have to be at a public event.

Get a copy of the Roleplaying Guild Guide and read through it. Think of it as the house rules of the campaign. As a GM, you don’t have to own any of the books — just use the PRD on Paizo to reference the rules.

I would still encourage you to reach out to the local PFS leadership for the region you are looking to GM in. They can answer questions and provide help.

I don’t know of any region that wouldn’t like more GMs!

I loved both Sewer Dragons of Absalom and Gallows of Madness!

The others are also good, but those two stand out for me.

Tyranny of the Winds works best if you can play the whole series in order to get the full story.

The scheduling was what convinced me I wanted to do PFS. It really is great that you can drop out for months, and they will still welcome you back when you have time again. The other thing that gets some people is that you can find a game when out of town. People who travel a lot can sometimes connect with the local gaming groups at their destination and just drop in.

There is one tool I’ve used a lot to help with the record keeping. It is the PFS Session Tracker. It helps you track what scenarios you have already played. When you first start, it really doesn’t seem like a big thing but it doesn’t take that long to get to the point where the tool helps. If you stick with it, try that tool to help you track what you’ve played.

Here, we also use it as organizers to try and see what scenarios to run..

Which scenario did you play?

I agree that there is more bookkeeping than I would like. I don't consider it exhausting, but I know a few people that decided it just wasn't worth it.

I generally do forget about the boons on a character unless they are something that immediately changes something for the character. The boons that do get remembered are those that allow access to a different type of item such as an intelligent item, familiars, or something that gives an in-game title. You can do just fine ignoring the various boons if that is what you want to do.

The folder per character is how I do it, although I am still looking at how to take it all electronic.

Something you didn't mention that has been a big advantage for me is the scheduling flexibility. When I have something open up in my schedule, I can check if there is a game available. If my schedule changes a couple of days before the game, I can just back out and it doesn't generally cause the game to collapse.

I also have enjoyed it because of the people I've met.

I hope you find a way to deal with the paperwork that allows you to enjoy the game!

As long as sound is all we are worried about, Harmose probably has the best magic for the job. His rainbow is bright, but it doesn’t make much noise.

We have already learned that they wiped one pharaoh from the history because they didn’t like them. I expect the cult members are looking for the mask because it links in some way with why this Hakotep is not in our history either.

Kito would like to visit the Pharasmin temple first to ask how things are going and discretely check if anyone has seen Ptemenib.
