Kira follows along, pulling out her rapier, but tries to remain as quiet as possible as she does.

Kira nods, Good eye, that one. She leads the way, watching for danger and traps as she goes. It does make sense, but were they keeping this secret from us, or are we keeping a secret from something else. I'd not like to think about what creature that might be."
Kira nods finally then steps through the secret passage. "Stay behind Timeon."
Kira sneers down at the trinket. "There's at least part of the trap. This isn't what we need. The eyes are just colored glass." She shakes her head. Despite this, she shoves the pendant into her pouch and looks around, and up at the stairs. "No point in going that way anyway. Oh well, do you know anything about the stairs Timeon? It might help even if it doesn't seem important to you."
Kira presses her lips in thought, Hmm. When you came through before were these stairs here? Did you try them?
Wow, we can't roll a good sense motive for the life of us!
Kira pears over the shoulders of the others, examining the pendant. "There's no way it's this easy, right?" She then mutters to herself, "Stupidity, what else could we be stupid abou-- Kira cuts off then nods slowly. "Timeon, remind me, how did you find out about that hidden door? I think I might have something, but more details would help me work through it." She then listens to Timeon carefully, trying to evaluate if he's a plant or fake.
Kira sighs and looks around. "There's definitely a trap here, right? she says before she begins inspecting the ground in front of her. She slowly makes her way to the pedestal, inspecting the ground in front of her, before finally inspecting the pedestal.
Kira nods and pulls the door open, moving through to the next room.
I should let you know I am out of town starting today, but should still be able to post (but maybe not). Just don't worry if I'm a little slower
Kira approaches the door and begins to inspect it. "It may have run away, but I think we should get out of here as soon as we can."
Kira breathes a sigh of relief. She puts the crossbow away and looks around the room.
Kira fires her crossbow, then quickly reloads it.

Kira pulls out her hand crossbow and loads it, beginning to take aim at the strange mist.
Kira steps to the rear and begins casting. A burst of flame comes flying out of her hands consuming the mist.
Kira begins to float the orb towards them until it is in within reach, then grabs it handing it to Saulric to store.
Kira holds the orb steady as Casius examines it. "When you are done, I can move it towards or away from us as needed."
Kira stares into the strange room and mumbles to herself for a moment. Finally she casts a spell, pointing tot he orb as it starts to lift, "Stand back."
I've got a moment to copy and paste a small update in my threads. I expect to be able to return next Thursday or Friday.
I just want to let you all know there was a death in the family tonight. I will not be around for a bit.
Oh, really? Kira asks looking up, "Are you sure he wasn't trying to protect you? You said yourself this place is dangerous. He may have been worried that you'd get yourself hurt." She turns away, looking at the door, lips pursed. "I don't know, why he would want to hurt you, but I'll tell you he helped protect me from persecution. I can't believe someone who'd helped me was as bad as that."
Kira looks sympathetically at the boy and extends her hand, "Yes, indeed. Perhaps if we could hear your story, it might help us all out."
Kira looks around the room and at the contraption in the middle. "Indeed, there is likely a reason it's a side room. Who knows if or when we'll need to use it," she says as she examines it.
"And I could definitely use light, strong armor," Kira says as she steps forward also checking the door for traps,
Kira swings in with her rapier, but pulls back, baiting the creature and feinting against it.
Kira, now flanking the creature, stabs out again, trying for a vital spot.
Wade, actually two of the cobras are down. There's only one left. If you come over and flank with me, then maybe next round we can get something between us all.
Kira moves up to the other side of Saulric, helping to distract the cobra so that he can get a good hit in.
Kira curses. "These cobras are going to be hard to beat. Casius, mind tricks won't help, no mind there," she points quickly to her head. She steps forward grabbing her rapier out and flanking one of them with Saulric. "We need to hit them hard to damage them at all." She brings the rapier forward, seeking for the cracks that'll let her in. "Minor hits won't do anything to wear them down."
Kira quickly moves into the room and fires off a bolt at the nearest cobra. She then quickly drops the crossbow and puts a hand to the rapier at her side.

Kira rolls her eyes at the extreme show of force, then pulls out a small hand crossbow and loads a bolt, "Well, then I guess we shouldn't wait," she says and prepares to enter the room. Status: Current Init: +7 Current Perception: +11 (Low-Light Vision)
Kira smiles, "Very nice Anastasius." Kira walks up to the now mold free door and checks to make sure it is not trapped.
Kira traces the path with her eyes, then looks up, "I don't know anything about the mold, but I can see that a good dozen individuals have walked to both those two doors," she says pointing to the other two. "We can't go back the way we came, and following the herd is for fools, so that leaves the door with the mold on it." She begins to move towards the door with the mold, but still keeps her distance as she walks a wide arc around the door.
Kira finally stands up, "This should be good," she says, looking back. "Though if you want to back up a bit, my feelings won't be hurt." Kira smirks, then turns back to the door. Once anyone who chooses to steps back, Kira pulls it open and looks inside.
Kira steps forward, "Yeah, I think that would be wise." She examines the door and the surrounding area, looking for possible issues.
Just giving a heads up now. I will be at a scifi/fantasy convention for artists and writers this Thursday, Friday and Saturday. I will try to post as best I can, but I honestly do not expect to have time to do much, if any posting.
Kira pauses against one wall, "Ah, there it is." She presses at small stone, and a part of the wall opens up. "I believe this may be the secret we're looking for."
Kira finally stands erect. Though it does little to change her height, her entire demeanor changes. A light laugh escapes her lips, "Not my best performance admittedly. But with so little information, it is best to be careful. So, the Nine Lessons, and this one about deception? Well, let's see what we've got." She pulls a coffee bean from a pouch at her side, "I'm Kira by the way," she says before concentrating on the bean and muttering to herself. "Kharanth." Her eyes glow for a moment, then Kira begins to wander around the room, examining the walls.
Kira relaxes a little, Lorcan, I knew I'd recognized it from somewhere. Kira bows her head a little, "Ah, good. It is good they are not your enemies," for the moment at least, "perhaps then it would be wise to know if there were any more instructions for these "Nine Lessons." Kira's voice remains obsequious and a mere suggestion as she stays behind Anastasius, still playing a servant for the time being.
Kira looks up, concern flashing across her face for just a moment before being replaced with a confident smile. She stands with a black, sleeveless coat, hanging open over a red top. She is particularly short, especially considering her obvious elven heritage. She looks over the newcomers trying to appraise them. What is that symbol, the one wears? Hmm. These men, they come in with their weapons, no scars or scratches. They could not have entered by force, therefore they must be sent by Thorn, let's see what they know of the man, that will tell us our play here.
Finally Kira steps forward, touching the old man's elbow, "Master Anastasius, I believe these men must also come from Cardinal Thorn, perhaps they can tell us what we are waiting for down here."
Wade and Anastasius: Kira laughs, loud and long. Finally she stops, looking back at Anastasius, "Nor do I you, but that means little for now." She tugs at the black sleeveless coat she wears, as she looks around the room. "What matters now, is that they want something of us. We just need to find out what it is."
Anastasius and Wade: Kira looks at her new companions, in the basement as they wait, "Well then, it seems we'll be working together for a time, either of you know what we're up against today? Or what we're waiting for?" Get pause lasts only a moment before she smacks her forehead, "Oh, yeah. I'm Kira by the way. Confidence-man extraordinaire," she looks down at herself, then back up with a sly smile, "Well, so to speak."
