Kimiya tries to slap the last one down with the flat of his blade. Naginata 1: 1d20 + 13 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 13 + 2 = 19
Intimidate: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (3) + 16 = 19

Kimiya slides to a stop next to Quinn, "another one! Stay down!" He slams his weapon down toward the soulsiliver's legs. Naginata 1: 1d20 + 13 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 13 + 2 + 2 = 34 +IC and flank

Kimiya smiles slightly, relishing actual combat even if he can't seem to hit his actual foe. Naginata 1: 1d20 + 13 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 13 + 2 = 29

Kimiya watches one of the images disappear into the mirror and strikes out. Naginata 1: 1d20 + 13 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 13 + 2 = 24
Can't remember if that's how x4 crit works lol. Not rerolling intimidate again - can't recall if shaken stacks or if it even applies here

Kimiya strikes at the one standing before him, "step aside and you will not be killed!" Naginata 1: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (18) + 13 = 31
If it's not still standing, Kimiya will move toward whoever makes the most noise. Kimiya tries to always do non-lethal damage. He gets bonus NL damage from Flat of the Blade and Slave Taker. He isn't great at not killing stuff non-lethally lol.

Kimiya is unable to help with many of the books. When he finds the section dealing with philosophy his face lights up. "I can talk to these ..." he trails off as Ikilwa and Grisaia show how shallow is knowledge actually is. A cursory understanding won't cut it anymore, back to my studies after we finish this mission. B4 Books on Philosophy: Diplomacy: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30
B3 Books on Religion: Appraise: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (14) - 1 = 13

Kimiya nods when Grisaia reads everything to the group, "interesting. I don't have any experiences with those mirrors but I'll certainly be avoiding any in here. Can we just turn any shards face down?" He notices the empty slot on the shelf, "I wonder if that's where the trap was." Shrugging, he moves down the stairs to the next landing, peeking into the next room. Moved on map - possibly triggering trap?

Kimiya moves toward the far stair but stands clear, "watch out for the acid trap." He looks for any way to trigger it from afar. "Can anyone read those notes?" If someone with Comprehend Languages reads them aloud, can everyone with Tongues - Communal then understand it?
Male Nagaji Samurai 6 | HP 51:51 | AC17 T12 F16 | F+6 R+3 W+3 | Init +1 | Percep +9 | Diplo +10 | Intim +16 | SM +
Kimiya consults their crude map and points at the wand, "likely another trap, that seems to be where the acid is. Anyone have a way to grab it from here? I might be able to draw it toward us with my weapon."
Male Nagaji Samurai 6 | HP 51:51 | AC17 T12 F16 | F+6 R+3 W+3 | Init +1 | Percep +9 | Diplo +10 | Intim +16 | SM +
Apologies as well. Kimiya will likely bomb a disguise check. I've been trying to think of a way around that. I don't think Diplo/Intimidate is an option, nor is non-lethal which is where this build shines. Do we have grease and go on the offensive?
Male Nagaji Samurai 6 | HP 51:51 | AC17 T12 F16 | F+6 R+3 W+3 | Init +1 | Percep +9 | Diplo +10 | Intim +16 | SM +
Wis: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16 Kimiya follows Ikilwa into the room. "Impressive statue. Anyone have any idea what it said? Assuming this is another trap, I wonder if we need to make ourselves look like a scholar to get past it. I've fought things that look like statues before ... not fun."
Male Nagaji Samurai 6 | HP 51:51 | AC17 T12 F16 | F+6 R+3 W+3 | Init +1 | Percep +9 | Diplo +10 | Intim +16 | SM +
Kimiya marvels at all the books. Never one to read himself, he still recognizes the wealth set before them. He consults the crude map, "looks like we might have some rolling heads to the left and acid straight ahead."
Male Nagaji Samurai 6 | HP 51:51 | AC17 T12 F16 | F+6 R+3 W+3 | Init +1 | Percep +9 | Diplo +10 | Intim +16 | SM +
Do we have a time constraint? Does it make sense to pair off or each search an area (not too far from each other)? And it's interesting to see strength affecting reroll opportunity. How many books can you lift in 10 minutes? Oh, you're strong? You can go through more so have a higher chance of selecting the best options. Cool mechanic.

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16 Kimiya steps up beside Ikilwa, "I am Kimiya Sayo. I must commend you on the excellent trap. A worthy greeting indeed." He nods to the three kobolds as they step forward, "was this your handiwork?"

Kimiya was quiet before they entered the tapestry, pleasantly surprised at his companions. [i]This is refreshing, I'm used to humans."[/b] He is especially taken with Slyder, speaking a few soft words of welcome in Nagaji. Once in the tapestry, Kimiya shakes his head, "that transportation never gets old. A mimic, eh? I've only heard stories." His eyes narrow as he looks at the bridge, "I can't tell much from here but I agree it's probably a trap. Shall we go explore?" Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20

GM - this was my first game playing with a group other than my friends and cons. And it was fantastic. I want to thank you and everyone else for the experience. The pace was frantic but we had solid, quality posts throughout and like Aroden said, having the GM add flair to what we wrote created a nice cohesive narrative. This was an awesome mission - thank you. I did 145 for Rd 1 and sounds like 63.3 for 2nd so 208.3 total.

The crossbow feels strange in Kimiya's hand but he points it in the general direction of the phoenix and fires away. As he watches the bolt fly through the air, he reloads. Light Crossbow: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18

Kimiya thanks Dale for the kind offer and takes the light crossbow. He then seeks higher ground in he hopes of being able to help this time. Climb: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
If it's ok, I'm amending my action. Moving and getting the crossbow means I can only attempt the climb twice. Not sure how high the cliffs are or which direction the next phoenix is coming from. Move, retrieve, climb, climb,

Kimiya winces from the blinding light, opening his eyes to see the feather before him. As the others descent, he indicates the feather to Dale and listens to their options, "Is Kahwen dead? What happened to him? Do you think the feather would work to bring him back?"

Kimiya is at a loss. He can't fly and he doesn't have a bow, I need to rectify that soon! When he sees Kahwen begin to fall to the ground, he runs over, sliding to a stop where the tengu *should* be, whaaat? He looses his rarely used wakizashi and prepares to hurl it at the phoenix.

Functionally, how does Banish work? Are we just kicked out of the tapestry for the remainder of the campaign? Are we banished to some other place? Or will we find out when/if it happens? lol

Kimiya moves back to get within range of Aroden and readies an attack that he's sure he won't be able to use. "Looks like we have a few moments before that returns. Can someone heal me a bit?" he holds out his want in case anyone has time to help. He also remembers the prob they got earlier and quickly drinks that. CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Only one wand use so I don't monopolize time. Can forego if needed. We received a CSW earlier iirc but on phone so hard to search HP 43/51

While the others are preparing, Kimiya quaffs the Bull's Strength potion. He's stowing the bottle away again when the phoenix unleashes hell; the flames fully engulf him and he cries out, falling to his knees. Standing back up, he jogs forward and readies himself to attack it it drops down. Reflex: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

Completely forgot about haste. If I can still take the other attack, here it is. If not, that's fine too. Kimiya, growing frustrated, waves the naginata around and finally hits something. hasted miss chance: 1d100 ⇒ 56
