I know this sounds like a lot of rules lawyering, but my players are dept at exploiting rules that are not well-defined.

Yeah. That can be really annoying. And time consuming.

One of my tricks to deal with things like that is to allow the rule as they want it, but only for very specific edge cases that are unlikely to actually come up naturally.

In that case, I can see them make these arguments:

1) They have a situation where they are aware of the enemy. Prior to going into combat, the operative uses the cloaking field, so that he can use the bonus on his 1st round.
2) In subsequent rounds, he uses one round to shoot as a standard action and activate the cloaking field as a move action. Then in the next round he takes the + 10 bonus for his trick attack.

In this case, the exploit that the player is arguing for is already fairly difficult to pull off. They have to waste an entire round doing absolutely nothing in order to get that +10 bonus.

If you do want to make it even more rare to actually work, make them pick the square that they will be attacking into at the start of the 1-round immobile cost.

So: pick a square to attack into. Begin being completely immobile for 1 round. When your round comes up again, if there happens to be an enemy in that square, you can trick attack it with the +10 bonus from Cloaking Field.

If they manage to pull that off, they kind-of deserve the +10.

You can do more in the round you activate Cloaking Field, since it takes a move action to do it. You can always re-position our self and or take advantage of cover and any environmental advantage/s.

Does someone have more information on Divine Blessing of Triune?

"Triune: You can use a computer without having a user interface or hacking kit simply by touching it. You must still succeed at a Computers check to hack it if you do not have authorized access. Additionally, you have limited telepathy that functions only with constructs with the technological subtype."

Limited Wifi-Telepathy is great, and you still have to make a skill check to hack. However what if you need to download or upload information and your only contact with it is touch? Can you store digital data within your self since the source of the ability is supernatural?

"use a computer without having a user interface or hacking kit simply by touch"

Would "use" in this case cover the transfer and of deliverance of data? How much data can user hold? Please help I'd like to know the limitations of this feat.

But isn't the hand crossbow the exception to the rule?

Quote:
You can shoot, but not load, a hand crossbow with one hand at no penalty. You can shoot a hand crossbow with each hand, but you take a penalty on attack rolls as if attacking with two light weapons.

If at all by weight a pistol is only 1 lb heavier than a hand-crossbow and thus really should have the same exemption.

Sorry for the side track. The main query is, is it possible to use dual pistols as standard action?

Flash Attack feat is form Strategists and Tacticians. Copyright 2010, 4 Winds Fantasy Gaming; Author Ryan Costello, Jr.

Lighten Weapon feat is form Advanced Feats: Secrets of the Alchemist. Copyright 2010, Open Design LLC, www.koboldquarterly.com.

Hope that helps securing an answer.

Can you use the Flash Attack & Lighten Weapon feat with Hand Crossbows or one handed fire arms (Pistols) to pull off two shot in a standard action?

Flash Attack (Combat)
You use the small size and weight of two light weapons to attack with unmatched speed.
Prerequisite: Double Slice, Two-Weapon Fighting, Weapon Focus (any light weapon).
Benefit: When wielding two light weapons, you may attack once with each as a standard action, an attack of opportunity, as part of a charge, or as part of a Spring Attack. An unarmed strike counts as a light weapon.
Normal: You may only make a single attack of any type as a standard action

Lighten Weapon (Combat)
You can balance heavy weapons, making them easier to wield.
Prerequisite: Str 13, BAB +3.
Benefit: Choose one type of weapon. When using a weapon of that type you may reduce the effort required to wield it by one step but suffer a −2 penalty to hit with that weapon. This allows you to wield a weapon 1 size category larger as if it were your own size, use a two-handed weapon in one hand, or a one-handed as a light weapons.
Normal: Weapons 1 size category larger increase the effort required to wield them by one step: light becoming one-handed, one-handed becoming two-handed, and two-handed becoming un-wieldable. Two-handed weapons may not be used one-handed. Using a one-handed weapon in your off hand results in a −2 penalty to all of your attacks (in addition to other off-hand penalties that may apply).
Special: The effect of this feat does not stack with other feats that alter wielding effort or weapon size. You may take this feat multiple times, each time choosing a different type of weapon.

I made Gunslinger and I was wondering, I can pull two pistol shots with this feat.

Not even with Lighten Weapon feat? Also that also left hand crossbows unanswered.

My bad for the question in all cap. I just cut pasted it form another forum I posted the question and didnt bother to edit. Sorry

thanks for the notification, post has been moved to 3rd party section and awaiting for an answer

The Daisho Expertise feat from Path of War says:

"Prerequisites: Proficiency with the katana or wakizashi.

Benefit: Increase the damage die of katanas and wakizashi you wield by one die step. In addition, you may use your Dexterity modifier instead of your Strength modifier when making attack rolls with either weapon. This feat counts as Weapon Finesse for purposes of meeting the prerequisites of other feats.

Special: If you are proficient with the katana as a martial weapon, you meet the prerequisites for this feat, although you only gain its benefit while wielding a katana in two hands (to gain these benefits while wielding the katana in one hand, you must possess Exotic Weapon Proficiency with the weapon). You must possess Exotic Weapon Proficiency with the wakizashi to gain the benefits of this feat with a wakizashi."

And the Weapon Champion Archetype has the Favored Weapons (Ex) feature:

"At first level the weapon champion selects a group of weapons (from the fighter’s list of weapon groups for the weapon training ability) to act as her favored weapons. She is proficient with all these weapons. If the weapon champion has a feat that applies to one of these weapons (such as Weapon Focus), it applies to all the weapons in the group."

The wakizashi belongs in the light blade group.

Does the Weapon Champion's 1st-level feature now make all light blades use the Dex stat to hit and treat them as one die higher for damage?

Because as far as I can see, it the wakizashi fulfills 2 criteria, it belongs to the light blades group and is part weapon-specific feat that can apply to the shared weapon group.

Does Nimble Dodge work versus spells? The circumstance bonus is only to AC, so if it work versus spell what about Touch AC (TAC)?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I chose to make a Half Elven rogue with bit of magic so at creation I chose Half-Elf heritage feat allowing me to take Other Worldly Magic from the Elf Ancestry feats. I'd like to pick up another cantrip 5th level and chose Adapted Spell from the Human Ancestry feats but it had a prerequisite of being a spell caster. If you gain a single cantrip from an ancestry feat or any feat do you count as spell caster?
Granted it the only spell you know unless multi-classing, but I'd like to avoid that.

So the Elan race is a created race right? So you then were what ever you were before being turned to one. Doesn't that make a Elan technically a racial template? So do you retain all you original racial traits when you are transformed to an Elan. Also if you had classes locked with your previous race do they follow through when you get turned into an Elan?

Quote:

Kryptonian Racial Stats

Str + 4
Dex + 2
Int - 2
Wis - 2

Fly speed of 30 feet (average)
Base speed of 30 feet

Kryptonians are very resistant to physical damage, but weak against magic.
Kryptonians gain DR/Magic equal to their character level.
Kryptonians take a -2 penalty on all saving throws against spells, spell like abilities, and magical effects.

Sun Powered - Kryptonians lose their racial Strength and Dexterity bonuses, flight, and damage reduction if they spend more than 24 hours without direct natural sunlight. Magic sunlight does not apply to this condition. A Kryptonians racial Wisdom and Intelligence penalties and saving throw penalties are not affected by sunlight, and remain even when a Kryptonian is in direct natural sunlight.

Superman would probably be a Monk. Just add a new feat to keep his flight speed up with his land speed.
New feat:
Flight Enhancement
Any enhancement effect that increases your normal land speed also applies to your flight speed.

What is the CR points for creating this? I'd like to know please..
