When Jared was born, it was apparent the Deity Desna kissed him, as he was born with a tint of bronze skin and a butterfly birthmark on his left arm. Jared grew to be a tall muscular young man with brown hair to accent his bronze skin and blue eyes.
He wears worn leathers that seem to blend with his tones and tall-laced boots just below his knees. He carries a heavy mace on his right side, a dagger in his left boot, a light crossbow across under his left arm.


Jared Lightfoot was born in the Valley of Stars, in the Calphiak Mountain range, which is rumored as one of Desna’s favorite locations in Varisia. Jared soon discovered his love of faith as expressed in Desna’s holy text, The Eight Scrolls. He devoured the holy text committing it to memory. Jared did not ease himself into his faith; no, he jumped in eagerly with two feet, a stern believer of exploration, discovery, and freedom. He doesn't stay in one location longer than a season, or two, preferring the freedom to journey. His bright smile and has often brought a bit of luck to those he has encountered in his travels. His easy going personality makes him a friend to many.
