About Ignem ibn Adrir
Ignem ibn Adrir was the child of an ill-fated night. His mother was a gifted student at the College of Dimensional Studies and showed great promise. However, one night, while outside of the college grounds, she was attacked by ruffians. After being left for dead, she came to and stumbled into the nearby temple of Sarenrae. There she was taken in by the kindly clerics, whom nursed her back to health. When it was discovered she was with child, they were all most uncertain about the situation. The child was born, however, and the clerics determined the child was touched by Sarenrae’s light. The child came out with hands misshapen and burned, but with Sarenrae’s grace despite the ill-conception.
Ignem was named in honor of Sarenrae’s flame. The mother and child stayed within the temple grounds for many years. The boy, obviously divinely touched, was gifted with flame. He was resistant to its burning and able to exert a sort of influence upon it. They stayed in the temple grounds until his mother was in her late 40’s, when she decided to travel the world.
A traveling group of minstrels were leaving Katapesh and she chose to join them as a fortune-teller. Ignem himself decided to begin apprenticing as a fire-dancer, something that came very naturally to him. For the last 45 years, Ignem traveled Varisia and parts of the inner sea, happily part of his traveling troupe family. However, the call of Sarenrae cannot be resisted for one such as him.
He has since joined the Pathfinder Society, and has felt the call of Sarenrae and must do what he can to cleanse the world of evil and injustice. He wishes to bring the light of Sarenrae, and if her light be refused, then its cleansing fire.
