About Hugo Longfoot

Hugo Longfoot had the worst luck. He was a skilled poker player, a crafty pickpocket, and an accomplished all-around ne'er-do-well. Unfortunately, just as he would close in on a major score, he'd find out that the mark had a sick kid at home, or some other hard luck story, and he'd let them swim away. He wasn't gullible, he was just a softie.

Then one night, a scam that he was running went sour. He just wanted to fleece the guy, but he saw his partner pull a knife. Hugo managed to stop him, and he got shivved for his troubles. As he lay bleeding, alone in the alley, a drunken beggar stumbled across him. "Lucky I found you", he said with a twinkle.

The beggar was a follower of Cayden Cailean, and had been guided to the alley during a recent blackout. After healing him, he offered Hugo the chance to use his gifts for a good cause. Figuring his luck could only change for the better, he accepted.

Now Hugo is a b!!*~%&& artist with a higher purpose; a happy-go-lucky gambler who flips the odds on evil. If you prey on the powerless, pray that you don't cross his path.

He's on a mission from God.
