In the back of his thoughts he considers his alter ego and false identity. 'I can put the various Monster Summoning spells in such a Conjuration Staff as well -- then perhaps all I need to do is add a few ribbons and turn the Staff upside-down when I am disguised as Herzog Tanar'ri and that persona can come to be known as a Wizard who Summons Fiends from the Lower Planes to do his bidding!'

Herzog Tanar'ri is a striking specimen as a Cambion. Under his crimson cowl can be seen viper-like strands of hair, forked tongue, and serpentine eyes indicative of the son of a Marilith. Yet his mother-marilith was apparently more than any wandering Type-V Abyssal monstrocity. Herzog Tanar'ri is clearly an albino with waxy white skin and, even more revealing, the seams and ends of his scarlet shroud seem to shed yellow light, bright light. No doubt, Herzog Tanar'ri is the Cambion offspring of a Marilith Avatar of none other than Pale Night herself -- Mother of Graz'zt and Lamashtu and among the most ancient entities of The Abyss, predating The Fall of Asmodeus, Baalzebub, Mammon and the Arch Devils to Hell.
The secondary thin Herzog Tanar'ri wants to do is to return (with Kinky & Drannoch) to the warrens under the city and necropolis where Kinky's Thieves' Guild has made an alliance with the Vampire Lord. Herzog Tanar'ri wants to reconnect with the Vampire (perhaps his Ghouls) and see how things are going, if our alliance can go forward to all things mutually beneficial. (I know he was a Lord pre-Ivid V and wants some political power back?....)
The primary thing Herzog Tanar'ri wants to do (presumably when Drannoch is ready to visit the Vecna Cult in the Arcane Tower), is visit the Temple of Hextor. Herzog Tanar'ri wants to introduce himself and offer his support against Orsino, Grimauldi & Erlick if town rumors regarding strife are accurate -- and gauge whether the Temple of Hextor may want to ally with Lord Drax against Malvolio. So be prepared for this kind of sneaky and delicate gambit.
