She nods."Indeed. Should someone ever say that firebirds aren't perceptive creatures, I'll have to set them straight." she says, with a raised eyebrow.

"perhaps, though it's a bit chilly for many of their tastes though" he nods as they approach the sim rooms "what brings you here to this school?'

She sighs. "I am here to be safe and lay low. It goes against every fiber of my being not to be aggressive, but the powers that be say otherwise. It is what it is." She looks and sees the sim rooms, and says "Thank you for the escort. Have pleasant evening Lucas."

No worries :)

"I am, more or less. Your people are taking refuge here now, I take it. Interesting. I am told that even the weakest student here is a force to be reckoned with. Perhaps firebirds will be well sheltered."

He does indeed offer it, seeming somewhat bemused "I take it you are new here? My name is Lucas Svarog, I came here after my family... and well my species had to move off of the sun" he offers while trying to prompt her to say a little about herself

"I am new here, yes. So you're a firebird, then?"

She gives him a look, somewhat stern, trying to determine if he was serious or not. After a pause, she gives an annoyed smile.
"Then how can you be sure you're leading me in the right direction?" She teases. She sees the arrows light up, and nods slightly as if she gets it now.
"In an ever-changing layout, I suppose this becomes necessary, doesn't it?" indicating the arrows. The petite girl gives him an approving look, and reaches toward him, expecting him to offer her his arm.
"Lead on then, kind sir."

Since you apparently didn't have a specific student in mind, how about Lucas! Lucas was walking down the hall twirling a small metal rod, likely a wand in a similar method to how many bards twirled drumsticks when Helena approached him "hm? Yes. Can I help you?"

“Ahh, yes. Where are the ‘sim rooms’ located please?” she asks politely, though she seems irritated.

Djalos appears seemingly out of nowhere, stepping out of the shadows right next to Sadie. "We must continue our research. The threat of this outer being is quite real, and we may be working on a time limit. I have taken the liberty of organizing our study materials by a categorical system based on alphabet, date of publication, author, and sanity."

The briefest flash of anger for the new arrival at the interruption, then she turns back to Sadie:

"Well, then, I will let you both get back to your mission. It was nice to run into you, little Dara, and you, Sadie Jhiwoon. Good luck."
She turns and walks further into the library, casting a brief glance back at Sadie as she rounds a corner.

"I'm Sadie Jhiwoon. This is my little brother, Dara," she said, indicating the small shape hiding behind her. "He's....shy," she said, trying not to call too much attention to the fact that he was mostly obscured by a homemade suit of armor composed primarily of spoons. "I don't think I've seen you around before, but I've been a little busy. The, uh, light blades professor sort of took off without warning and I've been filling in as a student teacher until they can find someone new, which doesn't leave a lot of free time," she babbled, trying to get her brain to work, but totally distracted by how amazingly beautiful this girl's eyes were. Not to...

She smiles

"Hello, Sadie. Hello, Dara. I am Helena. Beautiful, and a warrior? I wouldn't expect to find a warrior in a sea of books, Sadie Jhiwoon."
Sadie blushed. "Uh...well, it's important to fight with your mind as well as your body, so knowledge is also important," she stammered. "A-are you looking for anything in particular? I mean, books, that is, of course that's what I meant..."

She laughs "Indeed! Sharp wits can be better weapon than a sharp sword. I'm mostly interested in Agartha and Avalon, and their history..."

she said, hanging on the word mostly.

On her way back to the table where they were doing research, Dara in tow, Sadie practically ran into the lovely blonde girl. "Oh, sorry! My fault. I should have watched where I was going," she said with a nervous chuckle. Internally she was lecturing herself to get it together and not turn into a complete idiot just because the girl was cute.

The girl starts for a second, then turns, and looks at Sadie, making eye contact. Her crystal blue eyes with emerald flecks seem like endless pools...then when it was about to get awkward, her head cocks to one side a bit, and she bites her lip, and says in an odd (think Russian) accent, with a hint of a smile:

"I did not mind it. No apologies necessary."
