Sorry, was away for a couple hours, but had went back to the drawing board and made up a ranger (trapper) before reading through this. Atm, I'm recycling an alias, since it is generally the same concept. This would be going down the trickster path. I wasn't sure how Investigator was being received, hence I scrapped it early on.

Harl stands quietly, watching the proceedings. When it's pointed out that the model is Absalom, he slowly eases over to examine it while keeping one eye on the gillman. When the gillman speaks in Common, the Kellid's head jerks up. He speaks, he's not death. Crafty one. Must watch him carefully.

Halbrount nods, taking an end of the knotted rope, he gets a running start and leaps across the pit. T10 for 11 If he makes it... The hunter then finds a sturdy looking stalamite, tying off the rope. Survival: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11 Not comfortable with his hitch knot, he tries again. Survival: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24 He nods with satisfaction as he ties a sturdy bowline around the formation.

I thought I purchased a couple sunrods, but looking back, I did not. No light source here. Harlbrount nods. I am ready. As the party moves into the cave, Harlbrount peers around, bow in hand. Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16 Glancing at Mrachni, Harl nods and lifts his bow, ready to provide a quick response, if needed.

Harlbrount bows his head as the half-orc places a hand on his shoulder. Stifling a wracking sob, the Kellid stumbles forward and falls to his knees at the body of his faithful companion. He brushes a trembling hand through the bloody fur, then falls back into a sitting position, cradling the remains. Those close enough hear whispered, choking words from the big man as he rocks gently back and forth. After a time, Harlbrount wordlessly begins digging at the dirt with dagger, excavating a shallow depression. The man then rises slowly and solemnly begins retrieving stones from the river, his body periodically spasming with sobs. Harl takes some time to build a small cairn for his companion, then stands silently for a time, before turning to the party. I know that we do not have time for my grieving, let us be on our way.

Harlbrount draws a sharp intake of breath and his shoulders slump a little as his worst fears come true. A single tear traces a path down his cheek as the Kellid stares at the horned beast with hatred in his eyes.

Nevermind, I was thinking wrong. Lowering his bow, Harl begins to recite a plea to the land. A snowball appears in his hand and he throws it at the minotaur. Ranged Touch Attack, Inspire, War Mind Animal Aspect: 1d20 + 3 + 1 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 3 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 17
After throwing the snowball, Harl steps back northeast and orders his wolverine to attack. I read about using this spell in a Chronicle about a bearded half-fiend, who used such a spell. I hope to meet this wise Kuraishimo and congratulate him on such a formulation. Meanwhile, the wolverine moves in and attacks the minotaur. Bite Attack, Rage, Inspire: 1d20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 2 + 1 = 18
Edited for Inspire Edit: Took out a +2 on Attack and Damage, the wolverine only rages after it has taken damage. Handle Animal: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25 Sorry, never used an AC before.
