Gwyddym listens to Ro with rapt attention as she lays out the positives and negatives of the fire plan. Sending in a dwarf to spelunk the tunnels. This ought to be good! he thinks quietly, waiting to see Drasven's reply.
While I've never desired to raise my own hands in violence, I have no issue with the rest of you, clearly. I'll even empower you as I can. And for certain diplomatic things, I could certainly hold my own as a leader. But in the thick of things, you wouldn't want me at the fore. I promise you that. I think Ro, as much as you say it isn't you, it absolutely is you. You're as quick to think as I could ever hope to be and can keep a cool head when needed. I'll support you, always. You know this. Gwydd says after a few moments of quiet thought where he was abnormally still. I would follow either of you into the middle of a melee Karmid, you or Ro, without reservation or hesitation. But to lead us and keep an even hand all around? Ro. Without a doubt.
At the kiss, Gwyd breaks out into a large smile. Shelyn will be very happy, very happy indeed. He places his fingers to his lips and gives an appreciative celebratory whistle.

Gwydd goes along with everyone else, a little worried that Ameiko could be overwhelmed. At least if it starts getting bad, maybe some music could help? he thinks as he walks along, keenly aware of the chapping on his thighs.
Gwyddym goes with Ro to get armor. He does insist on only the studded leather, complaining that he can't move quite as properly as one of Shelyn's servants should in the chain. However, he secures a buckler from the armory as well, to help add to his defensive repertoire. Afterwards, he heads back to the cathedral directly, eager to see how well he could move in his new attire.
Ro and Karmid? No. Just - just no. Gwyd says with a chuckle. That's just how Ro is with, well, with everyone. She's a truly free spirit. You know, I think Karmid does have something for you. I've never seen him so at a loss for words, really. He's a bit of a braggart, but not without good cause. He and that hammer of his, Angela, they are formidable in a scrape. You might ease the poor guy's mind and have a chat directly with him. Not sure if his head would explode, but it'd be a far sight better than watching him babble like he has been. Looking about the bar, half-hearing Jiliana's question to Edgar, he pulls his mind back, paying closer attention now. It would be good to learn some of this thought process Gwyd. You've a lot to learn. he thinks as he leans forward.
Gwyd smiles at Karmid's retelling as he looks to his own diminutive cup of syrupy liqueur. Ah yes Karmid. Just you, Angela, and the grace of Shelyn coursing through you, eh? Gwyd says with a smile and a wink. Truly, it was an impressive sight. Gozreh should be proud of the work this one did flattening our foes! he says, raising his glass in a salute.
I think I'm going to try getting something to protect myself. Probably a set of leather of some sort. Maybe a bit reinforced. And a buckler to strap on my arm when we go into danger, maybe. Just to stay a bit safer. Gwyddym says, frowning a bit at the thought of having to armor himself.
Gwyddym look at Jiliana and cocks an eyebrow. Interesting. You've a bit of the heaventongue, eh? Perhaps we could talk more in some, calmer, times. he says with a wink toward the half-elf. As for how you can help, much of that depends on where your skills lie, I would imagine. I'm not much in a scrape, save for helping Karmid there swing true and patching people back up. But matters of the tongue, I'm well-versed.
Gwydd has been sitting by quietly for the most part, letting others do the retelling of their story to ensure that the telling was succinct. He tended to be, well, flowerier with his tales. I hope you are right Ro, I really do. Though I feel like I should purchase some armor if we're to continue these investigations. I would appreciate any advice on what would work best Ro. Gwydd says as she finishes her retelling.

I spend most of my time in the library here at the Cathedral. It's good to meet you Jiliana. What should we call you, sir? Gwydd says as he turns to Edgar, offering his hand. It will be nice to have more with us that are OK with causing harm to others directly. Perhaps I can convince Ro to show me some manner of how to properly wear armor. So they won't hit me nearly so easily. he thinks as he waits for the handshake.

Is everyone whole? I can heal those that may still be injured. Angela did a commendable job, Karmid. Well swung. Gwydd says, taking the wand in hand.
Gwydd shakes his head, not stopping his song! Weaving in his song are words of healing and growth. His verse continues and he brushes Karmid's back.

Sorry all, I've had a heck of a time getting on Paizo from work lately. Thankfully things are stabilizing at home somewhat, so I should be better to post from there.

Yes we are using background skills, and I'm also fine (since I didn't put in any opinion ahead of the "only use player knowledge" debacle) with skill unlocks. I was going to say something, but every time I got a chance to post, everything in my head was on the thread from Lia/Karmid already. Now then, let us deal with the lemure!
Shara? What in the blazes is she - wait - is she actually Shara? There was the Lia that wasn't Lia earlier. How do we test this one? You certainly look like the long-absent Shara Alazna.... Gwydd says, his voice trailing off at the end.

Also, let's not forget that even if I was in full plate, I was going to take that damage. Back to back natural 20s (to hit and then to confirm). This devil didn't like my dancing.
Gwydd hasn't ever been put in a situation (until recently) that required him to be armored. He will be seeking out some nice flexible leather armor as soon as they get out of these catacombs.
Gods damn you back to your fiery homes! Gwydd cries out first as his body is wracked in pain from the strike, then Ro's healing magic washes over him. In a quick spin, he dances his way away from the creature. As soon as he is clear of the creature, he slaps his own chest to channel some additional healing.
Gwydd rushes over, looking to see if anyone needs healing. However, as he sees Drasven tending to that, he proceeds to the now open door to look around at the entry with the glowing ranseur in hand.
Gwydd recoils in horror, his face twisted. He collapses to one knee, praying fervently. Shelyn, the Mother of Monsters has a shrine here, beneath Sandpoint. Hold us and protect us from this vile wretch. As she seeks to twist you, she seeks to twist all that is good in this world. Grant me your song that I might erase the horrors here.
Whatever we do, we should do it quickly! Gwydd says, the bile from the thought of all the torture rising up in his throat as he speaks. Blessed Shelyn, please keep us and hold us in this time of darkness. If you could provide us with the light to see by, it would aid us greatly. Gwydd thinks softly, hoping that a prayer carried more weight than he thought it would.
While Ro takes her time working on the locks, Gwydd takes the chance to sing, trying to bring some light to the darkness with a song about lost loves found and the sight of sun after a long rainstorm. Upon Karmid's summoning, Gwydd makes his way to the stone doors, inspecting them for some memory or history he can recall.
Gwyddym twists his hands on the ranseur and mutters a quick spell to cast light onto the weapon to give him some comforting light. It is a horrid thing. These souls, who did they worship? Where they received in death by their gods? It's a terrible thing, to die in a cell, not free to dance and sing.
Gwydd quirks an eyebrow up as he takes the ranseur from Rojava. Art? Art of war, perhaps. But yes, I'll hang on to it. After all, it wouldn't really be my fault if someone ran onto the end, would it?
Gwydd follows behind the group, keeping his grip tight on their healing wand, watching as Ro and Karmid inspect doors.
