How does being underwater affect a water blast? If it's going to be limited down here, I presumably would know that. Anwyay, I shoot it if that works (or if I somehow don't know better) Or advance, dagger drawn if a blast is a bad idea.

Crap, sorry guys. Work’s weird right now, annual rebid for new shifts is about to take effect and there’ve already been some changes so we’re kind of out of sorts.

Guillaume squints at the cloud. He looks around for any member of his crew or, failing that, a familiar face on the docks. Regardless, he looks around, then points to the cloud. ”Those aren’t birds. They’re hornets.” He heads toward the cloud.

When I get close enough (120 feet) I’ll start shooting.

Alright, so, GM. Two questions:

1) Are you good with including Sandara as your ‘representative’, so to speak? Would you prefer Kroop or someone else? Should we include Kroop and Sandara, maybe? I mean, they do seem to be the two most important NPCs.

2) How much is the Plugg’s share of plunder worth?

Everybody: If Plugg’s share of plunder won’t cover it, how do we want to pay? I doubt we have enough strait coin. Any magic items no one wants that we might throw in as payment? Also, do we want the smuggling compartments?

I figured we can discuss some things here so we’re all on the same OOC page before we talk it out IC. Or that discussion can just happen offscreen. I’m fine with either, really.

Now...
”Now that’s an intriguing idea I’d not thought of. I’ll be wanting to discuss it with my officers, see if they’re up for runnin’ cargo. Let me talk it over with them and get back to you.”

”Gather round, lads and lasses, and let talk out our options.” Guillaume says once he’s gathered the ship’s officers in the galley. all the PCs, plus Sandara let’s say, so the GM has a voice if he wants it. He takes a seat at the end of one table.

Guillaume brings Plugg and Scourge's body's back to the ship, unceremoniously dumping them on the deck. "I say we gibbet these two. After we strip them of anything valuable, of course." Someone handle the Detect Magic-ing and the like, if you please.

Over the next few days, Guillaume establishes his captaincy. He shares out minor items (like the cutlasses) to sailors that have need of them, with priority going to those who didn't fight for Plugg. But discipline's the same for all, with no punishments being meted out for those who fought against the ship's new officers. He's careful to show off the Hospitality's Hammock, and mention to the crew its implications. "Here we had something that could heal the injuured, and not a one o' us knew it was here. Plugg kept it all to himself. And why, I ask you? Well, it cures seasickness. I think Plugg was such a landlubber that he was seasick without his precious hammock! Not so on my ship. We share the use of this hammock's healing properties equally, so long as I'm captain."

Guillaume points out to the steering committee, though, that Plugg's plunder and more valuable items might be needed to pay for having their ship rebuilt at Rickety's.

Once the longboat comes near, Guillaume orders a rope ladder let down and invites the crew aboard. "We took this ship off a crew of Rahadoumi, figured we ought to get it altered so as their mates don't come a looking for it. I hear this is the place to get that done."

Regarding siege engines - Bessie has Craft Carpentry +8 so in theory, she should be able to build or repair ballista or catapults and other weapons piracy.

Would the group agree to making the Hospitality Hammock party/ships treasure and use it to aid all the wounded?

Once we get into port we need to rename Man's Promise - might I suggest "Perilous Pearl" in honor of the Port Peril- Peril Crew.

That ship has probably sailed, since the GM has already made a post with us arriving elsewhere. But certainly a pirate would be unlikely to grab some booty, right? If the GM allows, I’ll retcon that in.

As far as a name goes, Guillaume would be partial to naming the ship after some aquatic predator, like Shark, or Orca. But I’m fine with your suggestion. Can we still paint a shark mouth on the bow? :)

It makes sense to me to have one Captain with a “steering committee” composed of the ship’s important officers (ie, the PCs). After all, OOC I wouldn’t just be dictating things, we’d be discussing. May as well do so IC, with a recognized primus inter pares officially in charge.

That does probably mean giving the rest of the PCs posts on the ship, even if they’re only fluff, with no actual mechanical benefits.

I've swum with the fishes, and breathed sea in me own blessed gills. It is part of who I am. I'll take good counsel o' me trusted crew, I ken I don't ken it all. Bessie's connection to the Pirate Queen'll be vital to any ship, fer example, and old Crow here'd make a fine Master-at-Arms or Bosun, and others o ye'll have other things to add about sailin' or fightin' or pilagin', I'm sure. Most issues can be decided by a vote, even. But when it's a sure hand needed to steer the ship, ye'll not find a surer one than mine."

I mean, I'm not sure what a captain's mechanical responsibilities would be, is there a stat that's important to it like in Kingmaker? But philosophically, Guillaume would love to captain his own ship one day. But if not this time, hey, I'm sure we'll have a flotilla eventually.

Guillaume continues to slowly approach* while firing blasts of water at any pirate who sticks their head up, or just over the railing to keep them away from it, while his comrades climb the net.

Basically, I'm just laying down suppressing fire to keep the others from getting attacked. Once they get onto the ship I'll follow.

Guillaume follows the boat in. Once they get to about 100 feet, he slows and beings loosing blasts of high-pressure water again, concentrating on Scourge, then Plugg.

Guillaume pulls up about 100 feet from the ship and gathers power, heaping the local water in front of him, before blasting it out at one of the crossbowmen. Using my Extended Range infusion, for a 120 foot range on my blast.

Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22
Damage: 2d6 + 9 ⇒ (6, 1) + 9 = 16
