I'm a graphic designer. Math isn't exactly my strong suit. XD

For visualization purposes 20cubic feet is the interior space of a medium size refrigerator.

So can you change your grip on a 2 handed weapon for free.? If I start the round and throw a dagger then stride to melee range and then swing a 2 handed weapon is that doable? Also if I just swing the weapon twice can I then drop one hand and us the raise a shield action if I wearing a buckler?

Liberty's Edge

It says if I pick the earth element that the produce flame does bludgeoning damage and has the earth type, does that also apply to the ongoing damage that produce flame does?

Yes, Pathfinder 2 is worth the money.

I say that as someone who was EXTREMELY skeptical of the play test.

In fact I only subscribed at the very last moment before they started doing the order authorizations.

I have a tangentially related question. Does anyone know if I purchase the pdf tomorrow will I get an immediate download link or does it have to be processed or something first?

Liberty's Edge

So can anyone who has a book already give any details on the Gnome Ancestry that lets you change the color of your hair?

On elemental bloodline / primal spells - is there any way to play a water power focused caster? Or would their powers be based off of ice like the old elemental bloodline ?
Water is specially the damage type not ice now.
Am I understanding you correctly that water is its own damage type now? Interesting!

So if you are a sorcerer with the elemental bloodline can you use spells from all four elements?

N. Jolly I was wondering can you use the basic telekinetic blast to power up a ring of fangs? If so it seems a great way to have a two shot guaranteed hit whenever you need one. Especially good at low levels.
You mean the Ring of Forcefangs? If so, then no, you would need the aether/aether composite blast for that. Give the ring to a friend, target them with the force composite blast until fully charged, possibly having to fire off a missile or two to open up slots until you can get a maximum charge, then the friend can give the ring back.

Yes I meant the ring of force fangs but why does it have to be a composite Aether/Aether blast?

Is there an online tool or iPhone ap that has the monster stats for summoning monsters?

Liberty's Edge

I have a wizard that just made 11th and I was thinking of taking true name as my feat. I'm chaotic neutral and was looking for suggestions for what outsider to pick. We are playing Rise of the Runeloards campaign.

Liberty's Edge

So is there any feat or magic item that gives you more uses of the Tengu Wing supernatural feat?

Liberty's Edge

I have level 1 rogue level 2 Warpriest who has the shield spell 3 times a day. He is a Tengu and focuses on claw claw bite. I'm looking for suggestions for a 1st level wand to buy for him it can be of any class because my I have the counterfeit Mage archetype. I'm looking for good I. Combat or great utility. Any suggestions?

Liberty's Edge

I think I remember seeing a feat that gives you more uses of such abilities like the Tengu wings but I can't remember what it's called. can anyone help me?

An easier way to get around the weak base damage on a weapon is to use a better weapon. You get full martial prof, use it!

We know that it's not optimal, but, thanks to sacred weapon, warpriest is a great chssis to play a concept of a character who uses a substandard weapon with great skill and make it work.

But the reality is those weapons are terrible. There is no reason to use them when there are better alternatives.

I'm sure we all wanted to play at some point a character that was a deadly knife fighter, was really good with just a club, or someone as deadly with a shortspear as an Aiel. Maybe you just want to use shuriken but are disenchanted by the 1d2 damage and the difficulty of sneak attacks at range.

Warpriest is a way to make these poor choices stay competitive despite there being better options because of sacred damage.

It is in fact perfect for a Tengu taking claws so at 1st level you use the free weapon focu s to take claws and your first level feat to takes eaton focus bite so all three jump from 1d3 to 1d6 and all with no minus like TWF. That and Tengus get a plus to wisdom

Liberty's Edge

Does the blessed fist spell work on the claw claw bite attacks of the Tengu?

Liberty's Edge

Does being able to cast a ca trip count as casting a spell for this?

Liberty's Edge

my approach to making the rogue more viable on his own is to play a Tengu with the claws alternate giving you three attacks at full BAB with str-16 and dex-16 and a 2 level dip into Warpriest use the free weapon focus for the claws and when you can take take it again do so for the bite attack. That way your doing 3 attacks at full BAB 1d6 damage each and the free weapon focus makes up for loss of to hit. Pump str all the way and get a Mithral breastplate for higher AC when you can. you get a few orisons to aid in disable device and some 1st level buffs spells so you can buff yourself. You can even take the forgepriest archetype and get the shield spell added to your list which is a beautiful AC buff. Use a ranged weapon if you win intiative and an enemie is close and cast shield if not. war priest buffs up your will saves even.

Liberty's Edge

So if I'm a Primal Companion Hunter can I take the extra evolution feat to get extra evolution points to spend on my animal companion? What if the animal companion is dead then those points are going to me would I get them?

Liberty's Edge

What is the earliest level you can get wild shape at and what archetype etc do you need to do it? I'm wanting to build a character that is in a wildshape form almost all the time from as early a level as possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Liberty's Edge

Can you take improved familiar to use with tumor familiar?

Liberty's Edge

Thanks for the great advice you seem to know alchemists you wouldn't have a guide or a character build for a bomber alchemist would you?

Liberty's Edge

Is splash weapon mastery a legal PFS feat and is it worth it for a bomb concentrated alchemist?

Liberty's Edge

Is there a way to get your dex bonus to damage on natural attacks?

Liberty's Edge

Now for the big question which ranger can take the natural weapon style?

Liberty's Edge

So which is it?

Liberty's Edge

Is a ranger with the natural weapon style able to take improved natural weapon and be legal for PFS?

Liberty's Edge

Looking for good spells tactics tricks for a 9th level wizard to use against giants. Conjuration speciality and enchantment and necromancy as off schools.

Liberty's Edge

Dies a double musket count as 2 weapons for enchantment purposes or one?

Liberty's Edge

So if you had rapid reload would it be a standard action to put in a new cartridge? What about casting abundant ammunition on the cartridge would that work?

Liberty's Edge

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I thought alchemical cartridges were half cost so 6gp each.

Liberty's Edge

So with misfire and having to but expensive ammo to reload as a free action isn't it just better to use a now and be a fighter or ranger?

Liberty's Edge

What is the fastest way to fly. No strix race allowed. Anything else in any pathfinder book goes.

Liberty's Edge

Is there anyway to wild shape early? If so how and how early. I'm thinking of a Druid that lives in wild shape form so early access and long duration.

Pistolero is the best way to make a kaiju fall prone.

Not necessarily most damage but most useful.

Liberty's Edge

Pathfinder all books allowed. What's better Musket Master or Pistolero and why? also any race better than human for either?

Liberty's Edge

Just what it says. Can you ride a floating disk if you the caster of the spell. I would like an official ruling if anyone knows of one.

Liberty's Edge

I meant spell levels 3-6 not character levels. I had not thought about aqueous orb that's a nice one.

Liberty's Edge

I need some good suggestions for spells to take of the Conjuration sub school for levels. 3-6.

Liberty's Edge

So let's say I have a raven familiar that can share spells and I have him cast the animate object so is he now able to control the chair using his actions?

Liberty's Edge

So I'm thinking of making an animated chair and having my spell caster ride around sitting in it for economy of action. So what is the type of action to direct the chair? Standard, wove, swift, free? Also is there an official answer on this?

I'd like to say right now before the thread gets going. Gees, Grimmzorch. Thanx for opening up this can of worms! I predict a heated debate coming.

Ah...no.

If we want to apply "cast" as a identifier...what components are used? V, M, S? Does he make concentration checks?

I play a witch and as much as it would be nice, just don't see it.

Home game/house rule sure.

Sorry I didn't mean to open up a can o worms just looking for things to ad for my Witch.

Liberty's Edge

Does anyone know the answer on this?

Liberty's Edge

So if you have a Ring of Spell Knowledge and a wizards spellbook it's a standard action to switch out what spell you have in the ring and a DC 20 spell craft check to do it? Also I can put any 1st level spell from the spellbook into the ring?

Liberty's Edge

I want to take arcane bloodline as a sorcerer and take Sage archetype. Do I have to lose arcane bond? Is there any way to get arcane bond?

I actually recommend a couple scrolls of one of your spells in your spellbook. I had started up a conjuration wizard with opposed schools of necromancy and enchantment, but included one enchantment spell in my book. Sleep. Then I bought two scrolls of sleep for 25 gold apiece. Note that I could cast them without having sleep prepared for the day at all. That gets you around some of your limited spell slots per day, and any opposition school restrictions you'd otherwise have.

Other spells you might want scrolled at first level are Mage Armor, Grease (if only so you don't have to carry sticks of butter everywhere), Color Spray, Endure Elements, and Comprehend Languages. Naturally this depends on what type of wizard you're playing and what spells you've learned.

Okay and is there a way to add spells to your spell book besides leveling or buying scrolls and using them to copy?

Remy Balster wrote:

You can buy access to spells for 5g, and inscribe them for another 10g. If you have max ranks in spellcraft, you auto succeed the check to learn them by taking 10.

Add spells to your book with your extra change.

How does one buy access to spells for 5gp?

The Adventurer's Armory adds power components.

Using a Flask of Acid (10gp -- as a focus it isn't consumed) as a power focus for Acid Splash makes it 1d3+1.

It has no save and doesn't allow spell resistance.

As an energy attack, it ignores DR.

The ranged touch attack makes it much easier for a low BAB spellcaster to actually hit. It can be cast every round, whereas that crossbow requires time to be reloaded.

EDIT: Ninja'd :P

Can you do that with Jolt? Does the acid splash work if your an admixture wizard and you change the damage type to something else?

Liberty's Edge

If you use a scroll to cast a spell that you have magical lineage for and spell specialization in do those abilities apply.

Liberty's Edge

1 person marked this as FAQ candidate.

Is it possible to retrain a trait such as magical knack?
