Have you played 1-01: The Commencement, 1-04: Cries From From the Drift, 1-07: The Solar Sortie?(1-01 has a tie-in to this one but isn't necessary, the other two are just for my information)

I know that these boards are mostly focused on pbp but I figured I'd give it a shot. Why don't I want to do pbp? I've personally had horrible luck with play by post adventure paths. I have started several and each one has dried up before getting anywhere and I'd really like to do one, or more, before most people start switching over to 2E.

I've been searching pretty heavily lately for an AP recently. In doing so I have found three others that want to play but no GM. So if anyone wants to step in, you've got a full party of people who have been trying to play an AP for some time and are dedicated to sticking it out for the long haul. I would personally love it if we made it an ongoing thing and did more than one.

I know that lots of people want to play and not as many want to GM so I'm totally down for some 'you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours'. Meaning, I will switch off GMing with someone if necessary. That could take many forms. You GM an AP, and then I do one for you. Or, I do the odd books of one and you the even. I'm also down with doing two simultaneously, either switching out every couple of weeks or doing one of them earlier in the week and the other later. Or really any other formation you can think of, I just really really want to get some Adventure Path on.

When I say not pbp that's pretty much the only thing that matters as far as platform. Discord, skype, roll 20. Whatever, we're down. The only other thing restricting the group is that I can't get online until 8 pm GMT-6.

Thanks to anyone who reads all this mess.

Maybe it was a house rule but it seems like you were able to do this in PF1. What I'm wondering is possible is playing a dragon sorcerer who uses the Dragon Claw to hit AC instead of TAC to do the extra damage along with the spell. Is that possible or would it be too much in this system?

I've been thinking about the monk lately. I think I may have a solution to some of its woes. The drawback is that it favors unarmed strikes, and makes monk weapons seem like a waste(nevermind!).

The idea comes from the soulknife class. Every few levels it gets either a plus to hit and damage or a magical ability added to his mind blade.

Why don't we give tmonks the same thing? At 4th level and 4 thereafter they gain a +1 bonus to unarmed strikes (Actually to any monk weapon and make it an enhancement bonus so it doesn't stack with magic). Then, like a mix of ranger and soulknife give them things like improved crit, or any of the improved manuever feats, but only with monk weapons and unarmed strikes, only while in no armor or something.

Hmm?

This was mentioned in the THINK TANK and I wanted to make sure it got attention.

Why is a ranger reduced to half effectiveness for an animal companion as opposed to Level-3 like a paladin's turning? It's still enuff to keep him a category of companion (and/or HD increase) above the druid.

Also why are Rangers and Paladins only half-casters? Both of them mostly only use utility spells anyway. Would letting the Ranger use a cure spell at full power really hurt back compatibility or balance?
