(5 stars)Greg Volzhttps://paizo.com/products/btpy8fda?Pathfinder-Chronicles-City-of-Strangers2010-07-15T12:11:37Z
Pathfinder Chronicles: City of Strangers (PFRPG) Print Edition

Merisiel battling a bloat mage high over Kaer Maga - it's reminiscent of a Die Hard movie (although Merisiel is much better looking than John McClane) and the picture exudes a level of action that just makes you want to play or run in the city of Kaer Maga – a city of outcasts. A city of strangers.

Paizo’s layout is high quality as always and the two column standard layout is easy to read. The sections are clearly defined and the art is once again top notch throughout the book.

The city of Kaer Maga itself has tones of Sanctuary, New Crobuzon, and Sigil, to name a few, but comes together in a cohesive setting that allows a GM’s mind to wander while enticing players to wander the rings that make up the city itself.

The cast of NPC’s, organizations, monsters and magic enforce the darker side setting of the city. A resourceful GM could run adventure upon adventure with this book alone and never want for more.

While standard Pathfinder stats are present this book, along with most in the Chronicles line, could be used with any fantasy rpg making it an excellent buy for any GM looking for a city of magic and mayhem.

(5 stars)Greg Volzhttps://paizo.com/products/btpy8dhc?Pathfinder-Adventure-Path-31-Stolen-Land2010-05-24T13:28:25Z
Pathfinder Adventure Path #31: Stolen Land (Kingmaker 1 of 6) (PFRPG)

For those players who have never had the chance to play in a sandbox campaign this is a great example. A wide open map and adventure that has a beginning and end but allows the DM great latitude in bringing things together at his own pace.

The sense of wonder that this AP has instilled in my older players reminds me why it's still fun to play this great game!

Pathfinder Adventure Path #31: Stolen Land (Kingmaker 1 of 6) (PFRPG)

For those players who have never had the chance to play in a sandbox campaign this is a great example.
Excellent product.
Greg Volz2007-05-26T22:20:33ZFantasia: Book of Journeys—Campaign Setting PDF: Fantasy Heartbreaker - but bad (1 star)Greg Volzhttps://paizo.com/products/btpy7vpl?Fantasia-Book-of-Journeys-Campaign-Setting2007-04-11T12:56:19Z
Fantasia: Book of Journeys—Campaign Setting PDF

I normally purchase my pdf's from www.rpgnow.com or www.drivethrurpg.com (both are the same I know). I was on Paizo looking for a basic D&D module pdf and saw the Fantasia product line. I double checked to see if this product was on RPGNow or DriveThru and it wasn't. That should have been my first clue but I went ahead and ordered the three core books and a couple adventures.

I'll be the first to admit, I'm a total impulse buyer and I love fantasy heartbreakers (see the following link for a definition http://www.indie-rpgs.com/articles/9/ ).

I can tell a huge amount of work has gone into this product. I'm sorry to say a huge amount of bad work.

The writing is hard to understand for the majority of the book, the layout is awful - Times New Roman 11 font for the body and Dark Crystal (yes the 80's muppets movie) font for the chapter headings, a few of the names of inns, locales, etc are direct copies of existing fictional places, ex. The Pool of Radiance and The Rainbow Dragon Inn.

The product is obviously a labor of love but I'd return it if it wasn't a PDF.

Fantasia: Book of Journeys—Campaign Setting PDF

I normally purchase my pdf's from www.rpgnow.com or www.drivethrurpg.com (both are the same I know).
