Bilson & DiMeo, Writers of the John Wesley Shipp Flash series, said it took place in the same universe as Lois and Clark. So Superman-90 looks like Jeremiah Danvers, and his wife like the ex-queen of Daxam.
I'm assuming the Dr. Wheels/Thawne in 2049 is a Time Remnant taken from season 1 before Eddie killed himself. That vest thing is to anchor him and hide him from the Black Racer. And Nora is forcing him to help bring Barry back after his disappearance in the Crisis.
There were two Arrows. With Captain Cold and a Hawk mask in between them. The second (just before Barry) was the Justin Hartley, Smallville version.
Huntress was next to Firestorm. Guardian's helmet not Fate, it was only a half helm.
I personally get a small amount of validation whenever I get a comment with over 2 likes. Its a weird social interaction phenomenon. I think their is a name for it but I would have to look it up but I can't atm. If I find it later ill post it. If rysk doesn't beat me to it.
Which is where ADHD Speedsters rock. The Riddler tried to pull his schtick on Impulse (Bart Allen, grandson of Barry/Iris and Eobard/?). Before he could finish his riddle, Bart had search under every porch in town and found the bombs.
Yes I am aware much of what we get from Ghost Rider came from Danny Ketch, not Johnny Blaze. But things evolve over time. Or have you forgotten about when Cap was Nomad?
And then Black Panther said "get this man a shield." ;D
Season finale: everybody dies. Conclusion: the show wasn't picked up for renewal. :-)
Last I heard it wasn't official. The preview said Season Finale, not Series.
It sounded to me like they don't want to spoiler it by announcing one way or another. But if it isn't cancelled, I'd expect they would either have to be lost in a quantum realm all season, or can't return until mid-May next year. For the simple fact the entire MCU can't elapse in time beyond the last moment of Avengers: Infinity War until after Avengers 4 releases.
Otherwise the show does the opposite of what it is supposed to be doing, by actively subverting or devaluing the movie.
(For the record, there was an article speculating how those events effect Luke Cage season 2. Answer: Netflix shows for the next year - LC, DD, IF at least - all take place prior to whenever the attack on NYC takes place.)
Thanos didn't beat the Hulk. The Power Gem beat the Hulk. Thanos alone wouldn't have had a chance. Oh, his skill vs. raw brute force would have made it a long fight. And the ship wouldn't have survived. But Hulk's raw fury would have made Thanos' own might pale in comparison. But nothing is more powerful than the source of all power.
Right now I'm not convinced that DeVoe is as smart than he thinks he is. Mostly because what smart guy wants to run a country that has everyone else that's a moron? I mean seriously...
Pinky: But Brain, you could lead these people easily.
Brain: Yes, but who would want to?
DeVoe is an idiot, and if his plan succeeds it would lead to billions of deaths. Worse, who is going to be supervising all the nuclear reactors, contagious disease stocks, and every other potential WMD that exists for benevolent purposes?
This plan will result in somewhere upwards of 6 billion people, and leave almost no habitable land.
30 Years ago the ASA felt the need to engage in a Metahuman Arms Race. I wonder, would Greenlight be composed of a mineral found in a Kansas meteor shower somewhere around 35-40 years ago?
Perhaps the arms race was inspired by "meteor freaks"?
If you're not hitting people over the head with politics, you're doing science fiction wrong.
The whole point of speculative fiction is to reflect on society as it is and what it might become, for better or worse.
It's difficult to swallow when it may be a political point of view you disagree with or that makes you feel uncomfortable. But then if you feel uncomfortable, the writers are probably doing an excellent job. Anyone can entertain. The best creators challenge. Sometimes we need to be challenged by other points of view, and where not to do it than in the stories we tell?
But as for that one specific line--it was a silly, throwaway, one line joke about hair. It had nothing to do with beliefs about fair trade or foreign policy or health care laws. It had nothing to do with politics. It may have been referencing a public figure--and one that may indeed exist on their earth and have run for president--but it had nothing to do with politics.
(Yes, the writers have addressed political issues. This was not one of those times.)
There is a difference between discussing social issues and stating "I'm right. You're a Nazi Racist/Sexist/Homophobe."
I had to share this. Playing PF tonight. Party is camping. Watch 2, the watcher hears a creature approaching. A few random guesses are made (before any visual descriptions, etc.). I said "Aurumvorax" and the GM stops dead, looks at me and is like "how did you?"
Wait, the team consists of Mr. T and Mad Dog. So is Dinah "Hannibal", "Face", or the reporter that lasts about a season before the guys get her to quit?
DNA might. Unless she has one of those Earth-2 blood types not found on Earth-1, like Wells.
Oh, and my favorite from Team T was "haven't you punished Rene enough?"
Ollie mildly chastised him, and had spied on them - with cause. Any actual punishment was forestalled when they quit Team Arrow.
But Ollie went too far, when he stopped Rene from killing him with an axe; but caused Rene to reopen an old wound. So Ollie should just have allowed Rene to kill him, then team T would be just fine with Team Arrow?
Umm. Someone confirm something for me. Enoch takes Fitz and Hunter to the Lighthouse. And he tells them it has been there as long as he has been on Earth (30,000 years).
Wasn't that what he said?
Because it doesn't match this episode.
Also, this episode takes place simultaneous to thor's visit to NYC in Ragnarok apparently.
Next question: mysterious light in the STL sky for weeks. And Stark didn't have a look? Or ask about it? Or any other Enhanced person?
For that matter if every cop has their pictures, then the Avengers know Phil is alive.
BTW, FBI chick left Star City suddenly. And at the same time the CCPD CSI is accused of murder.
It would have made sense that the FBI was called in to examine the scene.
To which a friend that just watched the trial ep noted several problems them prosecution and the investigators should have noted and answered - because a competent defense would have used them.
1) The accused is a CSI, he knows how people get caught. So why was he so obvious?
1a) Why did he trip his own alarm moments before the cops came in?
2) Where was all the blood? He was obviously killed somewhere else and transported there. Why would Allen do that?
2a) Besides the prints on the blade, and the location, was there any physical evidence to connect Allen?
3) Her lover is a good suspect. And we just take the widows word that her husband was ok with the arrangement? We don't even question the lover to corroborate? We don't check to see if he had a sick father?
I'm shocked this hacking terrorism attack did not include purely mechanical devices without electronic components being remotely controlled. That's about the only way that story element could have been more badly written.
Spoiler:
Someone has unlimited control of the internet? That doesn't just affect Star City, it affects the entire planet. That means Feds involved.
The city is cut off? Feds could halo drop whoever they need. They could yank Barry Allen out of prison and have him there really quick.
Moving on.
He controls air traffic control? Pull the plug. Ground the planes - somewhere else since James only controls the Star City LAN apparently. And pull the plug. He controls street lights? Not without electricity he doesn't.
If he controls TEH INTERWEBS he can take ALL TEH MONEY$$ So the only reason I can conceive of the blackmail demand is Ollie must capitulate and look bad. Or Ollie must live with not capitulating and letting people get hurt. Except that James can keep doing this. And he has a big bomb. So giving him a bunch of electrons that say he can Star City's money is pointless. See the preview for next week.
James shut down all communications - except for Felicity's cel? That was sure nice of him.
The reason given? Happened after James started all this. So why did he start doing it in the first place?
Assuming the evidence on a USB from Corto Maltese is not a fake out: Deathstroke's kid is involved.
Edit: I was going to praise some good character moments. And most were.
And then there is this predictable gem. The children are keeping secrets from daddy out of spite. (They ran away but are still part of the family - or they would have bothered to come up with a name of their own. Outsiders was pretty cool, but BL and Katana have dibs). They don't want to tell daddy about the bad guy who is really and truly for realzies on our side, because he killed whatshisname. I mean whatshisname was so integral to the plan, he brought... umm, stuff.
So they are gonna get strung along, and string Ollie along. And then Vig is gonna say "fooled you. I lie for a living."
The scenes set in 2018 and the future are after they return from the future.
That colonel that had Fitz sends Graviton/the Gravitonium to a lab in "the city". It gets out of control. SHIELD makes a plan, that is built on Daisy Quaking the situation, after the city is evacuated. Graviton destroys the world.
Gravity storms. Gravitonium powering the Lighthouse.
Same problem as the DCW. If the characters have powers, why don't they use them for everything?
Answer, because the producers don't have $10m per episode to afford the FX.
So they handicap them at every turn, and limit it to a couple times per episode.
In-universe, the question is, if you are inside a tin can, and you are faced with someone who destroyed the entire planet your tin can was ejected from - why do you ever let her have powers?
Seriously, whenever they were on, she could have killed everyone at any moment.
Spoiler:
That force field was no issue. All she had to do was shatter the roof above it, or the floor beneath. And she could have done so while 'aiming' at ball girl. "oopsy, she's just too agile. My that wall is looking bad. Whoops, missed again. Hi Kasius. What are you doing down here?"
It isn't 100% - there have been episodes with body counts (and not just all the people who died when the Matrix collapsed). Back when the team was in the wind, they had no access to icer rounds, and were using live ammo. And HYDRA killed plenty of people in terror attacks.
So I read that Clark Gregg actually directed this one. Very good work.
Spoiler:
Jemma never knew what Fitz had planned, he didn't get to talk to her, and Daisy didn't get a chance to pass a message. But they were both on the same page when the action started. That is some great teamwork!
