I bellow at Song and level a pistol at the priest, "You were gone too long! Are we rescuing you or kidnapping him?" Seeing the look on Song's face, I speak again, "It had to be the cow: Imperia punched the horse's lights out."

"Good idea, let's find the nearest inn and ask for directions to that temple." I grin and start packing stuff away, after claiming a buckler, the bullets and a couple of potions for personal supply. GM Coluber: how much can we carry? Or do we need to cart around the... um, cart.

Well, I'm not too keen on going back to the people who sent me on a high-risk, do-or-die mission. I don't know if anyone else has ties to, um... that place. Of course, it also depends if we'll be massively disrupting Coluber's plans.

So, we have treasure! The magical crafting stuff doesn't seem that useful to us, I wait to be corrected, but could be valuable. The bullets and bolts would be useful and arrows aren't free. so, who wants what? I want the bullets and might take a buckler if nobody else is interested. Sharing out the potions makes sense: I'm sure I'll make use of mine.

I step closer the the remaining drake as Song speaks to it, my gun levelled at it. I hesitate long enough to let it speak to Song, "Song?" But if it still won't play ball... touch attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
touch attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21

With a clear view and stood out in the open, I am more concerned about Song being gobbled up than the dauntless Imperia. Using rapid shot I pour out shots toward the drake with its face in the dirt. touch attack against prone drake: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13

"At least we'll die with our boots on." I circle around to the south, trying to keep linked up with Imperia while searching for a way to hit the drakes. Moving to L5, which gives me line of sight to the bit of Drake1 that is protuding from the mist. Spending another grit point on focused aim, I fire again at the drake which confronted Imperia. touch attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27

I have dust of tracelessness so if we can get far enough away that we're being tracked (rather than spotted) then we should be home free. That or we fight like mad dogs! GM, will you GM-PC Fukarth until we escape/win? Or are we just collectively forgetting he exists? "Did anyone get the goods?" I stand with a gun in one hand and a smokestick in the other. If I'm told that nobody has the stuff then I will start shooting but if anyone tells me they have it then I ready an action to drop a smokestick once everyone has run past me. Then I will join them in fleeing.

Thanks for the map. Is that Imperia by the cart? I call out from H1, "Hey girls! Get your fine asses this way, stick together or fall apart. That's the drill!" Once Ka'ta starts moving, I throw a tnaglefoot bag at the drake near her.

We've got a great character dynamic but are definitely a motley crew and maybe don't have characters who will co-ordinate combat options to exploit advantages and whatnot. In my Kingmaker game we're like the elite special forces of our kingdom: planning our strikes and acting in harmony. THat totally suits the characters and the campaign. Here we're an awkward bunch: a brawler, a drifter, a srong-willed bard, a dwarf... I think, after a few near misses and odd encounters, it might be time for our characters to have learnt that stepping back and planning is a good idea. In game terms that can be a few signals and whatnot but in metagame terms that probably means discussing what we're going to do in this thread.

I'm in. To be honest, I'm at a bit of a loss to what Gorvy can do except for staying out of the way. Dragons aren't really something we can fight or talk to (literally can not talk to them). Those are things Gorvy does. He has not utility magic, stealth skills, unusual movement, buffs for others... Gorvy is sitting quiet (because others are stealthing) and waiting to provide cover/rescue/distraction if the others get in trouble. If Gorvy was in this situation alone he would either find a hidey-hole and wait for the dragons to go away or maybe, if he had some cash and knew the value of the mcguffin, he might go to town and recruit support. In fact, if Gorvy was here alone he'd probably conclude that being stuck between the rock of military forces and the hard place of necromancer lady was more trouble than it was worth. He'd probably roll out of town and head through Nirmathas to the next country he doesn't have a bad reputation in (yet). So, I have been checking the thread every day. It just seems silly to post "I continue to hide behind a tree."

perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9 I whisper, "I don't know. Maybe we could just sneak in and grab the good stuff then get the heck out of here?" I shake y head at the sound of the feeding drakes, "They might still be hungry."

I come to a halt and chuckle at life's latest cruel joke, "Well, I'm not that lucky. Who's got the secret dragon friend?" Then, as I notice Song's voice speaking the strange tongue, I shrug, "Ah, the mysterious beauty. Of course." I put on a show of bravado and swagger over to Fukarth, "You alright, fella?"
Human Gunslinger 4; Hit Points 29/29; AC 17/12/15; Initiative +4; Perception +7; Fort +4 Ref +7 Will +2
I respond to Fukarth's quip with my own, "That's what she said." But the smile dies on my lips when I see Fukarth's injury. As his spell pours forth I shake my head in amazement as I rush on double move if I must, need to get in killing range to do anything useful. Fukarth, they are ranged attackers so you can boost the AC bonus by lying down as well. Don't forget your potions.

"So, you want to hire us but you don't want to pay us?" I shake my head and chortle for a moment, "Normally, people in your situation offer the map and the rest of the treasure as payment. And normally, that's a pretty sweet deal but we already have a map and a plan of our own: so why should we go off doing your business when we've already got our own adventures in this forest?" "As for the undead..." I roll my eyes, "Ain't many places in the world where people think it's okay to leave vicious traps for people who just want to knock on your front door. I don't reckon it's okay in Nirmathas, for whatever that's worth." "I don't mind being convinced to change course, but I need a bigger motive than, 'As my guest, you must do whatever I demand.' That ain't a thing outside of stories with Baba Yaga in them." Gorvy doesn't mind being asked to do stuff, but he hates being told.

"Aw, sausages, damn I'm starving." As I begin tucking in, I listen to Song's tale, "Staring down a ghost! I'm standing behind you next time we get into trouble." Only after my appetite has been satisfied do I notice the map, "Oh, um, woah, um... people... oh, right, yeah." I realise everyoen else is way ahead of me.

Imperia: Gorvy is a live-for-the-moment person. Part of the reason he is CN, rather than CG, is that he doesn't tend to consider the perspective of others or the impact of his actions.
And he hasn't slept with a hard-bodied half-orc before, so maybe tonight is the night. That said, I'm not really into RPing anything beyond a fade to black. Gorvy isn't pushy, Imperia can decide how far this goes: Gorvy gives a lazy grin, "It's always a pleasure, when a woman wants to get a better look at my weapon..."

Did GM Coluber say he was going to do secret knowledge checks? My bad. However, generally, in the standard Golarion PCs know the stuff in the Inner Sea Primer (and maybe more) as a kind of baseline. Just like your average Westerner would know that the Pope is Catholic. Inner Sea Primer:
Urgathoa (NE), the Pallid Princess, is said to be the first of the undead and the mistress of disease. Both undead and necromancers seeking the dark secrets of unlife follow her, as do gluttons of all sorts. By the same token, Gorvy worships Cayden Cailean and I would play him as surprised if another person did not know a few facts about Cayden. Inner Sea Primer:
Cayden Cailean (CG), the Drunken Hero, is a mortal who ascended to divinity by passing the Test of the Starstone while inebriated. He is the god of impulse and adventure, righting wrongs, and revelry. His followers reject stricture and structure and hold the brave enjoyment of life as their highest principle. For me, that is just immersion in the setting (I have every book containing Golarion-specific content that it is possible to buy, so I am pretty immersed...) and I posted the link because I am aware that not everyone will have as much background knowledge. I guess this is Coluber's chance, early in the game, to establish a few expectations for us, his players. Hey, Coluber, how should be manage this type of thing?

We should all know who the Pallid Princess is, unfortunately. Recognising that grand people are not my field, I hang back. However, I do endeavour to work out if she is still a human all the way down.
