Thinking of a rogue.

Very interested!

Silly question. Firbolgs are listed as medium (as opposed to large). Are you okay with them?

This might be splitting hairs but is this adventure a wild ocean seafaring romp or mostly coastal swamp setting.

I thought about Viking but I figured straight Barbarian because you want to rage in the barfight at level one . . . if your going to be a Barbarian ;)


I am putting together a Thunder and Fang Barbarian for an upcoming run at the Rise of the Rune Lords.

I was thinking of either human or half-orc.

I am aware that half-orc will delay actually using Thunder and Fang but I was trying to figure if which way would be interesting.

I have never really played a barbarian I have played a lot of clerics and several scoundrel characters and rangers.

Any reasons fluff or crunch to go one way or the other?

Anything that is easy to miss your first time running a Barb.

I would prefer 5th so I will withdraw. I am sure you will have plenty of takers. Good luck and happy gaming.

For protestants Greek is more significant that Latin. The Old Testament was written in Hebrew. The New Testament was written in Greek with some pieces in Aramaic. Latin becomes significant in the centuries following because with the rise of the Church in Rome and Latin being the language of the day.

Yes the Bible degree is handy and often necessary for working in church but the average church is about its weekly programs, helping the community and caring for its people (ideally). Knowing greek is an almost purely scholarly endeavor and is part of the education track that aims at a masters or doctorate.

Hey there this is Bhoors from GM Infinity's Boltmelter game.

If there is still space I would love to give something a go.

I am considering crafting, buying and or printing up some various game aids. I mostly play right now and am DMing less. As such much of my terrain building space is my kids' Lego space. Also my DM started using a TV (which is really cool). We have been talking about ways to make equipment management simpler and less of a drag. Do any of you find item cards (or cards in general) helpful to the flow of the game or is it a new thing to purchase/create/keep up with that adds very little.

You're right Aeshuura. Infinity had mentioned doing one of the Annialation seasons and I wondered if it was the one I was currently in that he is running. I missed the post above when he said it was the Elemental Evil season. If Bhoors is about to finish the adventures and Chult then he can join Nella further north in Elemental Evil.

Is the AL season you are doing the same one that Bhoors is about to finished?

I would be interested in White Plume too. Thought if it is going to be AL I don't have a level 7 AL character so I would wish you all well and hook up on the next opportunity. If is no AL characters I can play Thumps or fill a role not already covered.

I have had a PDF of the book for awhile now. I am going to have to look over their classes because I need to refresh my understanding of the classes.

Do you mean the "Adventures in Middle Earth" book. It looks awesome though I think it completely revamped the classes so they are not vanilla D&D.

Were you thinking of using just that book or is it anything goes but the basic setting is ME.

Thanks for holding out for me for awhile. This week got a little crazy for me. I was on the fence about hopping into another game but I knew some of the other players and wanted to give it a go. However rolling up a new healer was slow going for me.

I think the ones you picked look cool. Also thank you to those who put in good words. Congrats to those who made it.

I see we have several vying there are several Arcane casters I was thinking of Turik's place. But with an wizard and a sorcerer in the mix I might go with a Life cleric of Erastil.

Thank you. After years of "is it time for 2nd edition" someone needed to put this forward.

Still working on my character. Should be fun. Very much a prankster- Rogue Swashbuckler 3 Cleric Trickster 4 friend of Harshnag, Lords Alliance, or recruit for adventuring all work.

Agent of chaos, doer of good, mocker of evil, Giants need to be knocked down some pegs.

I am thinking of a cleric of some kind. So with that in mind.

Its after 1am where I am.

I am still hashing out details of a character and need to make a profile.

I will finish up when I get up in the morning.

I am putting the final touches on a Dragonborn Celestial Warlock Pact of the Tome.

Extra heals, Spell utility and Flanker.

If I am making a new character should I start it at level 1. Or should I try to get closer to the other submissions.

From the Player's Guide:
"Your character’s ability scores are generated using one
of the following methods:
• Standard Array (15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8)
• Variant: Customizing Ability Scores (PHB)."

When you check the PHB the 2 methods are using the array or rolling 4d6 drop the lowest 6 times.

I am cool either way but the guide lists more than one method.
