Were any of the final runelords parents?

So, The Rise of New Thassilon, wow. It’s good. Really, really good!

When you were outlining this adventure path, how early on did you know that you wanted the PCs to visit that particular spirit in the great beyond?

Of your old Demonomicon articles in The 3.5 days (which were all great by the way) which one did you have the most fun writing and why?
That's probably a tie between Dagon (because it let me tread some Lovecraft waters, which was a tricky place to go in 3.5 D&D), and Malcanthet (because all of her lore was brand new—I got to invent her pretty much from the ground up and not cleave to established D&D lore).

The Malcanthet article was one of my favorites. She came across to me as a very savvy politician. She and Nocticula were very different in their similar role. I found it to be pretty cool that you made them so different.

Is Shamira more like Malcanthet, than Nocticula, in terms of personality and governing styles?

Perhaps you could make a hag coven? Have a green hag cause strife within the village, have a sea hag wash ashore and cause the excellent drama you described, and maybe an annis hag to lead monsters against the village. Just a thought.

The Rise of The Runelords was the first adventure path I read all the way through and loved. The Runelords are so interesting to me, and I am so glad that they are finally waking up. Here's to the new empire.

Thank you James for setting the alarm, for our new overlords. I'm looking forward to this one a lot!

Nice options! Thank you! I stumbled upon this mini that I think might serve for the bloated runelord. http://images.firestormgames.co.uk/cache/data/hordes/3534-skorne-dominar-ra sheth-500x400.png

I'll also recommend Rise of the Drow. For some inspiration I'd look into Menzoberranzan: City of Intrigue. It covers many editions of the Underdark (1st - 4th) and has a lot of great fluff and ideas that could be incorporated into any game setting. Hope those help!

For the record, Xin was LN.

I bought it, and I started reading it today. Mother of RPGs, this is good. If you enjoy Conan, you'll love Thule. By page 3, I was sold. Hope that helps Yakman.

I am personally ready for another Runelord to come back.

The Manacle Golem sounds super cool!

If I remember right, in the "Continuing the Campaign" section at the end of The Dead Heart of Xin, it talked about a lich giant who was in Belkzen. I believe he was using orc tribes to look for Runelord Zutha's tomes. Maybe this AP will run with a plot along those lines. I hope so. I really would like to square off against another Runelord.

Pathfinder here. It suits my group just fine. Though I will watch 5e with great interest.

...When you hear your pcs chatting in character while you are ordering pizza.
...When the parties fighter is downed and the cleric rushes in healing spells ablazing!
...When the veteran player or GM tells the novice that they did a great job.

Man, this is a good thread.

Dear Mr. Treerazer,

Do you have a special demon that you like to cuddle next to, but should they fail you, you'd eat them without blinking? If so, how was your first date? Also, who paid at the end of the date?

Thanks Feros for answering my question and so many other's questions!
