Duskmire Accord 9 | Mists | Beacon Code Dilemma

You have received a summons from Venture-Captain Kunoris Vex. He seeks your presence aboard the artificial planetoid known as Salvation's End. The shuttlecraft that awaits you has seating for several agents.

Culture (DC 12+) re Vex:
Vex has a reputation of being a skilled, charming, and intelligent leader. He has proven himself a capable agent for the Society in the past and has long nursed a curiosity for all things related to the Gap and Golarion. As a drow, he’s had to deal with frequent distrust from fellow Starfinders and their allies, but he typically deflects such suspicions with a smile and a witty remark. Although it might be too far to call him kind, he does place the welfare of Starfinders under his command above all other concerns.

Hail, Pathfinders!

I will have a sign-up form in here shortly, but for the time being, feel free to wander Skyreach and the environs, view the decorations, or catch up on some sleep before your next assignment.

Here, is where our tale unravels...

Duskmire Accord 9 | Mists | Beacon Code Dilemma

This thread is for out-of-character discussion, including anticipated periods in which you know you won't be posting or will have limited posting.

For instance, I will be traveling between May 22nd and May 29th and anticipate that I will not be posting during that time or, if so, at a very irregular and limited capacity.

Duskmire Accord 9 | Mists | Beacon Code Dilemma

Founded in 4307 AR, the Pathfinder Society began as a casual club of adventurer. The first meeting place was a bar in Absalom called the Wounded Wisp though the meeting locations changed frequently in the years that followed. Nevertheless, the incredible stories shared among members at these early meetings became popular forms of entertainment among the public as well.

Within a decade the Pathfinder Society had published its first compilation of discoveries entitled, the Pathfinder Chronicles. The first edition of the Pathfinder Chronicles became wildly successful and began the Society's tradition of publishing the best of its members' exploits. In the nearly four centuries since, members of the Pathfinder Society have aspired to undertake adventures worthy of publication in the Chronicles.

As the organization grew, a council of ten directors called the Decemvirate was formed to help organize its growing interests, and to shape the future of the Pathfinders. As the Society grew in wealth and power, the Decemvirate decided that for its own security and safety its members would mask themselves to hide their identities, even from other Pathfinders. The membership of the Decemvirate has presumably changed many times over the last 400 years, although their identities or even how they are chosen remain mysteries to nearly all Pathfinders as well as the general public.

Today, the Pathfinder Society is a globe-spanning organization based out of Absalom, the City at the Center of the World. The membership consists primarily of adventurers who travel throughout Golarion—usually inconspicuously—and explore, delve, and otherwise experience the lesser-seen parts of the world. They send journals documenting their travels back to their venture-captains, who also assigns them new missions and suggests new places to explore.

In accordance with your duties as agents of the Pathfinder Society, you have each been handed a copy of a map and a missive by the Master of Scrolls, Venture-Captain Kreighton Shane.

Such matters include notice of anticipated absences. For instance, I will be traveling and likely will not be posting (or will have very limited posting) between May 22nd and May 29th.

This is the recruitment thread for a run of the Pathfinder Society Quests, What the Helms Hide. Recruitment will be by lottery.

Start Date
Presently looking at Thursday May 16, 2019.

Game Expectations
I ask for a posting rate of a minimum of 1-3 times per day during the business week and at least once over the weekend, though I realize (and expect) that real life can get in the way of fun at times and that not all players will be able to meet that pace. I expect folks to occasionally be unavailable for a period of time. If I know that I will be unavailable for some reason for more than 24 hours (or 48 over a weekend), I will post such. I request and expect all players to do the same.

For instance, I will be traveling between May 22th and May 29th. Know that I expect to have limited time to post and likely won't be posting much--if at all-- during that time.

I reserve the right to bot players who do not post anything within a 24 hour period and will request each player have botting instructions in place before the end of the first briefing.

Seating Players
6 players will be seated at the table. Seats at the table will be assigned by lottery. Players have until 12 noon US East Coast time on Monday May 13, 2019 to submit the requested character information below.

If there is sufficient interest and my bandwith allows, I will strongly consider opening additional tables.

Play-Style
I will likely use GM rolls for Initiative, Perception, and a number of other checks. Expect players rolls to primarily be limited to combat.

Despite your status as relatively new agents to the Starfinder Society, you have each received a request by the current First Seeker, Luwazi Elsebo, to come to her meeting room at the appointed time.

As you make your way through the grand halls of the Lorespire Complex, it seems that the air is abuzz with excitement and tension as various caterers and decorators flit about the halls, putting final touches on what is certain to be a failry extravagant event held within the complex itself.

This is my recruitment thread for a run of SFS Scenario 1-05, The First Mandate, to commence the sooner of when I have six players or April 1, 2019 (assuming a minimum table of 3).

Game Expectations
I ask for a posting rate of 1-2 times per day during the business week and at least once over the weekend, though I realize (and expect) that real life can get in the way of fun at times and that not all players will be able to meet that pace. I also expect folks to occassionally be unavailable for a period of time. If I know that I will be unavailable for some reason for more than 24 hours (or 48 over a weekend), I will post such. I will bot players who do not post anything within a 24 hour period (or over a weekend) and will request each player have botting instructions in place before the end of the first briefing.

Following the conclusion of the graduation ceremony, Guidance, the Starfinder Society’s compiled intelligence of Starfinder personalities, summons you all to the Lorespire Complex.

As the doors to the Lorespire Complex slide open, a green holographic image of a middle-aged human woman shimmers into view at the center of the room. “Greetings,” it says. “I am Guidance. Please use the cheek swabs in the open receptacle to provide a genetic sample for Starfinder Society identification purposes. If desired, you may place your hand on the glowing panel to receive a subdermal implant further marking you as a member of the Society.”

Each of you is a member in good standing of the Starfinder Society. You have been hastily summoned to the Lorespire Complex aboard the vast, artificial construct known as Absalom Station that serves as the Society's home.

The summons, which arrived via comm message, was issued by none other than Venture-Captain Arvin, a tall, confident lashunta, known both for his no-nonsense approach to Society affairs as well as for having a penchant for magic, although he would likely never refer to it as such. The comm message contained only sparse information, but held the promise of an opportunity to recover some information critical to the Starfinder Society and indicated that urgency is required if this opportunity is to be seized.

Upon arrival at the Lorespire Complex, an assistant ushers you into a waiting conference room with an assurance that Venture-Captain Arvin will be with you shortly.

There above the conference table floats the blue-hued, holographic image of a spacecraft bearing the markings of a Starfinder vessel. Appearing on the side of the holographic vessel is the name, "Unbounded Wayfarer".

Culture (DC15+):
The Unbounded Wayfarer was a Starfinder vessel that departed Absalom station months before the Scoured Stars Incident. It left on a mission to explore a series of uncharted planets in the Vast. Neither the ship nor any of the seven Starfinders among its crew have been heard from since. After the Scoured Stars Incident had occurred, the Society no longer had sufficient resources to devote to an adequate search and rescue operation to recover the lost vessel or its crew. Due also to the massive losses of Starfinder personnel during the Scoured Stars Incident, having more seasoned and veteran Starfinders, like the crew of the Unbounded Wayfarer, would be a great benefit to the Society.

This is for a run of just the 3 non-starship quests ONLY from Into the Unknown (whether to playtest classes at level or for other PCs). These quests are repeatable.

The three quests that will be run are:

Station
Boarding
Salvage

Assuming we start by the end of this week, given a post rate of 1+/day each weekday/weekend, all 3 quests should be completed before mid-January (in time to report any playtest results).

PCs must be first level. A PC that completes all three quests will have 1 XP and 1 Fame in addition to some credits and possibly another goody.

After completing the 3 quest, the PC can also go to participate in a separate run of the 2 starship quests, thus obtaining maximum rewards for playing all 5 quests (provided they don't play another scenario in between).

If interested, please provide the following

I will bot players who do not post anything within a 24 hour period (or over a weekend) and will request each player have botting instructions in place before the end of the first briefing.

This scenario has a tendency to run a little longer than most, so I expect (even if we keep up the expected post rate) that we will not conclude prior to the end of November.

Full Disclosure: I am hoping to use this scenario to level up a core PFS character that I currently have involved in another scenario. I encourage role-playing and thoughtful descriptions in my games. Nevertheless, I am planning to run this as a quick-paced game.

Game Expectations
I ask for a posting rate of 1-2 times per day during the business week and at least once over the weekend, though I realize (and expect) that real life can get in the way of fun at times and that not all players will be able to meet that pace. You receive a morning summons to report promptly to the office of Venture-Captain Drandle Dreng. Upon arrival, it appears that Dreng has not yet arrived.

This is my recruitment thread for a CORE run PFS Scenario 3-07, Echoes of the Overwatched. This game is part of Game Day 7 and will start on August 16th (two days after Game Day starts).

Full Disclosure: I am hoping to use this scenario and a couple others in order to level up a core PFS character that I currently have involved in another scenario.

At such a posting rate, I expect to complete the scenario before the end of the first session for Game Day. I expect folks to occassionally be unavailable for a period of time. If I know that I will be unavailable for some reason for more than 24 hours (or 48 over a weekend), I will post such. I request and expect all players to do the same. I already anticipate being unavailable to post on August 23 and 24 and September 7-9.

I will bot players who do not post anything within a 24 hour period (or over a weekend) and will request each player have botting instructions in place before the end of the first briefing.

Before the game begins, I will post a botting policy similar to those used by other GMs on these boards.

Play-Style
Although there will be opportunities for role-play, expect things to move quickly. I will likely use GM rolls for Initiative, Perception, and a number of other checks. Expect players rolls to primarily be limited to combat.

Number of Players
As this is an earlier scenario, I'd like to keep the number of players to 5. I am offering spots first to players from two of my recently concluded Core games, before opening it up to others. In each instance, seating will be first come, first seated.

Each of you is an aspiring adventurer, who has had some contact with a curious and capable half-orc explorer named, Ulisha. For years, Ulisha has devoted her efforts to the study of the River Kingdoms, a tumultuous land of bloodthirsty bandits, treasure-laden ruins, and self-proclaimed kings. She has a reputation for being a rather successful treasure hunter, although her methods are reputed to have put her on the wrong side of the law on more than one occasion. Perhaps the most remarkable treasure that she is known to have obtained is Silverhex, an enchanted sickle sued by druids millennia ago, which she claims to have only recently recovered from a collapsing stone circle located somewhere within the River Kingdoms. From what you know of the woman, Ulisha often goes to great lengths to protect and retain her treasures. On those few, very rare occasions when she has willingly parted with an item of value, it has only been in exchange for an exorbitant amount of gold coin.

Thus, the latest message that each of you has received from Ulisha is, indeed, rather quite curious. For in her message, Ulisha has offered to part with the famed Silverhex, what may be her life’s greatest find, for a price of just a few small chests worth of gold pieces despite the fact that, by all indications, the value of the object must be at least three times that amount! Further, not only does the message contain an offer of sale, but it claims that Ulisha is prepared to provide you with information as to the locations of a number of lesser treasures that you may obtain beforehand in order to secure the funds needed to purchase the famed weapon from her. However, as the message cautions, the recovery of such treasures is not without some amount of peril. Thus, the message warns, it would be unwise to attempt recovery of them on one’s own. Finally, the message includes a map to a meeting place—the location is a hovel on the banks of the Dagger River to the north of the town of Daggermark.

On those occasions when you have had contact with Ulisha, she has never given you any cause to suspect that she would ever seek either to defraud you or to bring upon you ill. Her offer appears genuine. And, if the offer be genuine, then it is too great an opportunity to forego.

Now, having arrived at the location disclosed within the message, you have found only a rundown, wooden shack, slowly deteriorating on a secluded bank near a fast flowing portion of the Dagger River. Its walls are barely strong enough to hold the wind or other elements at bay. Upon entering the shack you find signs of recent use, but other than yourselves, no other persons are present. Indeed, other than a few discarded tools, spent embers, and scraps of food, you find little of note, but for a single exception.

Closed, on a ramshackle table, lies a tattered journal. Its pages gently blow with the breeze periodically rushing through the dilapidated structure. This wagging movement brought on by the wind is slightly reminiscent of an invitational gesture, as if the pages themselves were now beckoning you to come toward them and to discover just what secrets within them they are willing to impart.

Start Date
Presently looking at Tuesday, July 17, 2018 or as soon thereafter as I have three players.

Number of Players
Up to 6 (Note: I am also running a CORE table of the quests (PCs that play it can then be converted to standard and rebuilt before reaching 2nd level). That being said, I will consider running a second table of standard if there is sufficient interest.

How Do I Get a Spot?

Gummy Bear
cuatroespada
Bressa
T'Shar
Lupulus
Rick (although credit cannot be applied to a level 2 character)(sorry)

This is my recruitment thread for a CORE run of as many PFS Quests: The Silverhex Chronicles that can be completed before Gameday, August 13th - (hoping for at least 4, if folks stick to post-rate below).

I encourage role-playing and thoughtful descriptions in my games. Nevertheless, I am planning to run this as a quick-paced game.

Game Expectations
I ask for a posting rate of a minimum of 1-3 times per day during the business week and 1-2 times over the weekend, though I realize (and expect) that real life can get in the way of fun at times and that not all players will be able to meet that pace. I expect folks to occassionally be unavailable for a period of time. If I know that I will be unavailable for some reason for more than 24 hours (or 48 over a weekend), I will post such. I request and expect all players to do the same.

I will bot players who do not post anything within a 24 hour period and will request each player have botting instructions in place before the end of the first briefing.

Play-Style
Although there will be opportunities for role-play, expect things to move quickly. I will likely use GM rolls for Initiative, Perception, and a number of other checks. Expect players rolls to primarily be limited to combat.

Start Date
Presently looking at Tuesday, July 17, 2018 or as soon thereafter as I have three players.

Number of Players
In the interest of a fast start, it is first come, first served. If I have more than 6 six players interested, then I will

Will You Go Back and Run the Quests that Aren't Completed Before Gameday?

2) Character name:
3) PFS#-Character#: Must be a CORE PC
