Katina Davis posted here that the Adventure Path PDF received an update.

I used to get an email when a file was updated.

I did not get that email for this update. My Download page lists the Single file version as last downloaded on Jan 22nd, last updated yesterday (Feb 3rd).

I do receive the weekly newsletters, I did receive all the Shroud of 4 Silences emails, but the product update emails aren't getting to me it seems.

I checked my account settings, all boxes in the email preferences settings are ticked, and have been for a long time. (At least I don't remember when I last changed those.)

It is a mild inconvenience, nothing problematic, but if you can spare the time to check this mitflit, I'd be happy.

A comment from another thread I will quote below made me think about this.

What if we take the basis from the PF2 3-Action system and turn it into a 1 action per round system?

Anyway, your issue is with the whole system of round. How come that a character can make 3 (or more) attacks while his enemy isn't able to swing even once. It's the same case, the wizard reacts faster, and gets 3 actions because the system doesn't handle one-action rounds.

So, going from there, some things are obvious: We have to adapt to make it work, but I think it would not be too hard:

(I'm going to refer to 1 action rounds as 'ticks', while 3 action system rounds are 'rounds')

Spell durations (if they have any) are 3 ticks per round.

Sustain spell similarly lasts for 2 ticks after sustaining.

You can perform 1 action per tick.

Reactions have a 'cooldown' of 2 ticks.

1 action activities work as they do in the normal system.

2 or more action activities have to be spread over as many ticks as they require actions, but they can be discontinued at the start of your turn. You do not gain the full benefit of the activity if you don't finish it completely.
We would have to go through activities to determine partial effects, like Sudden Charge could grant a move, spells would be lost, and so on. Maybe that partial effect can even occur right then and there, like the character starting a Sudden Charge makes one move, and when completing the Sudden Charge activity on his next tick, he gains the second move and strike.

Before I delve in further, anyone see any major pitfalls I'm missing?

I couldn't find a thread regarding a possible interaction of the commonality system and the ancestries, but here's a thought:

How about the Goblin Ancestry is marked uncommon in the Core Rulebook, when it is included?

It would not fit perfectly, as Goblins as monsters are quite common, but as a player ancestry, it would make it easier for GM's to adjucate, while still making it possible for others to include as option.

Please cancel my Starfinder AP and Starfinder RPG subscriptions.
The Starfinder Armory is still pending, but should be the last book I would like to receive in the Starfinder line.

I will continue to buy Starfinder PDF's but sadly you don't have a digital subscription.

Come Pathfinder 2, I'll likely do the same (and lose my Charter Subscriber Tag in the process, sadly), but that's still a year away.

Just wanted to let you (and the forums) know that my may-subscription order was sent out some days ago without sending out the "Order has shipped" notification email I was waiting on.

I found out because I checked my creditcard and found that you charged me.

I did check my Spam/Junk-folder, to see if the email was for some reason marked as spam in error, but I didn't find an email from you.

Maybe this has something to do with the new privacy policy? (I did not check them until just now and opted in to some of the choises again)

Maybe this is more of a Website-Feedback - Issue?

Well, I never subscribed to anything PACG, as far as I remember, and my account reflects that, as far as I can see.

Though I don't much mind such emails informing me of products that aren't part of a subscription, this one addressed me as if I would have such a subscription.

Please check your database on why I (and probably many others?) was sent said email.

Now, how easy is it for you to cut down on the download types?
There's two non-lite ("One File per Chapter" and "Single File", perfect!), but 4 variant each of the Lite Single and Lite OFpC. Getting that down to two as well would be wonderful.
(I just found out that it's a multiple choice selection, so I can select all the "Lite Single"-options in various written ways and get all of them displayed. That works too!)

There was a hiccup toward the beginning of order generation which caused some comics to be put into separate orders, even if they were supposed to be sidecarted. Our tech team is working on getting all of those rectified as we speak.

Hey, quick question:

Smash from the air lets you 'deflect ranged attacks generated by spell effects'.

Now one of my friends asks about the interaction of said feat and disintegrate:

A thin, green ray springs from your pointing finger. You must make a successful ranged touch attack to hit. Any creature struck by the ray takes 2d6 points of damage per caster level (to a maximum of 40d6). Any creature reduced to 0 or fewer hit points by this spell is entirely disintegrated, leaving behind only a trace of fine dust. A disintegrated creature's equipment is unaffected.

When used against an object, the ray simply disintegrates as much as a 10-foot cube of nonliving matter. Thus, the spell disintegrates only part of any very large object or structure targeted. The ray affects even objects constructed entirely of force, such as forceful hand or a wall of force, but not magical effects such as a globe of invulnerability or an antimagic field.

A creature or object that makes a successful Fortitude save is partially affected, taking only 5d6 points of damage. If this damage reduces the creature or object to 0 or fewer hit points, it is entirely disintegrated.

Only the first creature or object struck can be affected; that is, the ray affects only one target per casting.

His angle is: disintegrate destroys the first object or the first creature is strikes. With Smash from the Air, that would be the weapon (natural or manufactured) used with the feat.

I can see his point, however, the feat doesn't mention anything about the spell effect being applied to any new target/object, just that it can be deflected.

My argument is that the feat, being published after the spell, should be correct, even if it doesn't take into account the specific conditions of disintegrate, should work as intended and deflect the ray, as it does to all other ranged attack spell effects that require an attack roll.

So now we either have a spell that breaks the mold of the feat, or we have a feat that breaks a spell.

Regarding the Order # 4143006: This was an Order for a friend, whom I wanted to receive the colored bases around Christmas.
It thus also had his adress (ZIP 1120).
Yesterday I received an update to that order number, it now containing the colored bases and my monthly shipment, to be sent to my adress (ZIP 3400) instead.

Please split that order back to the original: The colored bases to be shipped asap to my friends adress (ZIP 1120), and my monthly subscription order in another shipment to my own adress (ZIP 3400).

Hey Paizo CS-Team!

I put the CotCT Hardcover PDF in my shopping cart yesterday to get it, as the shipping cost of the book to Austria were just a bit too high.
During Check-out I noticed that there was no Pathfinder Advantage taken off the price, so I did not finalize the purchase.

Is that an oversight or intentional?

I very much am going to get the PDF, with or without the discount, but want to make sure I get the discount if it should apply.
(I'm also going to get the book once my FLGS has it, but that's not the issue.)

(Maybe this is more of a Website Feedback Question?)

After having troubles twice with the map and binding in #4, I received #5 today and it is way better:

The stapling is further away from the center (more to the top and bottom of the comic), and thus the map should not be as easily be stapled to the comic as it has before.

Please pass along praise to Dynamite Comics, I hope they keep the new placement of the stapling!

I received the 'Order has spawned' email today, but would like to request someone looking into the shipping costs.

I know that the hardcover makes this month be expensive, but maybe if the splitting of the Order would be different, it might be a little cheaper?

Currently the order is split into a) the AP-Volume and b) the Hardcover, Campaign Setting and Comic.

I'd hope that splitting it the following way might be cheaper: a) the Hardcover, and b) the AP, CS and Comic.
(That way might even be a way for me to avoid having to pay taxes on both packages).

If you have time to look into this, I'd appreciate it.

Hey you great people of the Paizo Customer Service,

I'm missing an item of said order, but only now noticed it.

When I got the order, I didn't open it due to being close to a move, now that the move is done and all furniture set up, I unpacked things and noticed that the Xin Mini wasn't in the box it was supposed to be in.

(Also, there was no package slip, so I had to check the content with my order history, to find out in which order it was missing.)

Can you please send a replacement?

I really like to incorporate the ABP system into a newish campaign, but ran into a bit of trouble with the system.

I took over an ongoing AP. Now that we finished book 4, I thought it would be a good time to switch over to the ABP and, as the previous DM was not that caring, normalize the wealth.

So, as the PC's are now 13th level, they all get to re-purchase equipment to a total of 70.000gp, but we aren't exactly sure how much some things are worth.

Take for example our fighter that just found a +1 medium fortification full plate. That normally costs 1500gp (full plate) + 150gp (masterwork) + 16000gp (+4 equivalent) for a total of 17650gp.

To price a similar item under ABP I quote this:

In this system, adding bonus-equivalent special abilities to items costs significantly less because you are paying only for the special ability, not for a base enhancement bonus (see the table below). To determine the price of specific weapons and armor, remove the flat enhancement bonus and reduce the item's cost by the amount listed on the table below. For example, a flame tongue is normally worth 20,715 gp, but under this system, it would lose its +1 enhancement bonus and its price would be reduced to 18,715 gp. Specific weapons and armor can be attuned; they then grant the character's enhancement bonuses from weapon attunement and armor attunement as normal.

So, the usual costs of the base armor and masterwork still apply, but here comes the question:

Does this:

To determine the price of specific weapons and armor, remove the flat enhancement bonus and reduce the item's cost by the amount listed on the table below.

just apply to specific weapons and armor?

I ordered the Strategy Guide (Order 3368779) and now got the mail for Order 3475305 with my subscription, lacking the Strategy guide. I thought that I put the Guide and "Of Tooth and Claw"-Comic-Hardcover in the sidecart, but they aren't present in the subscription order.

Now when I look at the Order 3368779 in my order history, it says it will ship in two seperate packages, one with the subscription in 1-7 days, the other with the same subscription in early march.

Could you peek at the orders and maybe hopefully combine them, if possible?

For the start of a Reign of Winter game, I'd like to play a Mad Dog barbarian with a wolf companion.

All Paizo books allowed, 15 point buy, average wealth to start.

My thoughts would be half-orc with the beastmaster alternate racial trait,

Stats: Str 18 (/w +2 half orc included), Dex 10, Con 15, Int 8, Wis 10, Cha 10

Skills: handle animal, perception and intimidate

Weapon: earthbreaker?

Feat: Power attack?

Traits: campaign trait Blood of Giants (later wanting to take improved sunder)
second one I don't know yet.

Any thoughts on this?

As the adventure suggests, I tried to add the 3.5 module 'Seven Swords of Sin' into the Campaign, changing some things here and there.

So they enter the lair of Tirana and encounter the 'pile of gold-trap'.
I didn't want to use the grey render that was trapped behind that so I exchanged that with a Ceustodaemon.

Now in the first round that daemon used his breathweapon, which seemed to scare the characters enough that they fled the lair, telepathically thanking Gnaeus (one of the PC's now) for setting him free on the city.

The group retreated to the 'Sorry Excuse', resting and healing and once they got back to Tirana's lair found the surrounding buildings burnt down and smoldering, but no further trace of the ceustodaemon.

Now: as far as I can see, the daemon has no way of getting back to his plane on his own, so his devastation of the city is the next best thing he does.
Most likely the duskwardens will see to this threat to the city, but what else may evolve from this situation?

(I'm a bit stumped that they let the daemon escape)

Hello fine folks at Paizo CS!

I placed some items in my shopping cart to buy them within the next days, using the holiday bonus code. Before I submitted the order I noticed that the subtotal for the 9 items is $141.04 but the Order discount only amounts to $9.43, which is only about 6%, not the promised 10%.

(Items in the shopping cart are AP's #45-48, a pathfinder players compendium and some GameMastery Spell templates, all of which are indicated to be in stock, so the bonus should apply to all of them)

Also the Order Summary has the Shipping & Handling listed at $30.55, whereas the selected Shipping Method (Standard postal delivery) says $27.26.

Can you look into these issues?

So after getting the 'Animal Archive'-Player Companion I'd like to try a Huntmaster.

Looking for some recommendations / possible builds.
The Huntmaster is a must, all else is open for discussion.
Ability scores: 17,16,15,14,12,10.
Books allowed: most Paizo, but I have to run it by the GM.
We are playing Carrion Crown, 4th level now.

As it's a Cavalier Archetype and it looses the mount in favour for dog / bird or both, I thought of going small sized and ride the dog into battle. That led to the Order of the Paw... I know there's some overlap.
I thought of getting a dog for the first levels (maybe with the charger companion archetype), later on taking an eagle (Racer archetype?) as well, with the help of boon companion.

I'm not looking for the most optimized build

Today I received a banged up package from your warehouse. It was the missing package I posted here about. From the looks the parcel went around the world one or two times.

Now I already got the replacement package about two weeks ago and never thought that the original one would show up at my door ever again.

Sending the package back I could do, but I'd rather not pay for the shipping, and I don't want to have you guys paying for the fault of the postal service.

Simply keeping the things rubs me the wrong way, especially since I now didn't pay for the "D&D Miniatures—War Drums: Inspired Lieutenant"-mini that was out of stock when the replacement went out.

I really don't like to have you guys having a loss due to someone else's fault, so I guess what I'm asking for is you charging my credit-card, for something I now have twice, but paid only once.

Any Idea?

Of the two packages for that order only one has arrived thus far (the one containing the "Skull&Shackles Poster Map Folio" and the "Beginners Box Heroes Minis").

This ongoing PBP-campaign needs a new player or two.

Due to a near TPK we are down to 4 players and would like to up that to 5 or 6 again.

Characters are currently at level 2, though on the powerful side, due to the special creation rules I brought upon myself. (Can be found here)

Who's interested? What would you play?

Too bad I can't find them in the Austrian iBookstore.

A spell-like ability takes one standard action to complete, while a summon monster usually has a casting time of one round.

So, when is the summoned monster of a Summoner's spell-like ability able to act?

Rolling hills pretty much anywhere you look. The Shrike River a bit to the south, flowing raging, promising a cold and wet death to anyone that would try to raft it.
But not only the river is unwelcoming. The air is cold and the wind is biting. Spots of snow still linger, defying the sun.

A dozen or so figures make their way to the west, following a path that's called South Rostland Road. Some of them are afoot, some on a cart, one of them is riding on a dog.

Most of them possess a parchment, sealed, waxed and handed over from Lord Mayor Iosepf Sellemius (or one of his servants) in the free city of Restov.

Parchment:

Everyone roll 1d10 for a rumor heard in Restov about the Greenbelt.

So, this will be the Discussion Thread for my Kingmaker game.

Memento Mori is an alternate for now.

As for character generation: let's try the 'Dice Pool'-Method, as described in the Core rules. 28d6 to be assigned on the 6 abilities, minimum of 3d6 per ability.

I got a bunch of 2nd level characters fighting a Spider swarm.
There are two elves among them one a sorcerer, one a wizard.
Both know (and did prepaire) acid splash for the day.

But the question that arose is: Is acid splash considered to be a splash weapon?

The spell description specifies one target, and no area of effect.

The relevant portion of the swarm subtype traits are as following:

A swarm is immune to any spell or effect that targets a specific number of creatures... . A swarm takes half again as much damage (+50%) from spells or effects that affect an area, such as splash weapons and many evocation spells.

So, would that acid splash deal 1d3*1.5 acid damage against the spider swarm, or none at all?
