Thanks for running GM Jimbles! It was fun and I really got a kick out of your descriptions and narrative writing (complete with occasional commentary) that makes it feel like the PCs are part of a book as much as playing a game.

@ All - Thanks for a good game. There was a lot more character and roleplay than I would have expected from playtest PCs. Really enjoyed that!

"Oh, bother." Flitweather sighs as the captain leaves his line of sight. The gnome concentrates for a moment and the nature of reality begins to shift beneath his feet as the witchwarper pulls pieces of alternate realities to himself and briefly supplants them into his present world.

Paradigm Shift: Surefooted (Su) – As a standard action, Flitweather can touch a willing creature (himself) to exchange the terrain beneath its feet as it moves with that of another more stable reality, allowing the creature (himself) to ignore difficult terrain. Unless otherwise noted, the effects of a paradigm shift last 4 rounds equal.

He then heads out the door to follow the captain.

"There is no need to fight!" Flitweather cries, attempting to sound somewhat hoarse and attempting to mikic the boice of the tiefling whose form he still wears. "We just need to stop and discuss what is going on here."

Flitweather casually follows the shirren. As he moves through the ship his pistol at the ready, he continues to concentrate in hope of picking up some new thoughts.

As the captain flees, Flitweather finds himself in a bit of conundrum. Flitweather notes that the one who flees likely has more thoughtful thoughts worth picking. However, Flitweather picks thoughtfully that it is more worthwhile to be the one who stays. No desire to run off on my own--at least not intentionally.

Continuing to concentrate to maintain his detect thoughts spell, the gnome makes inquiry of the remaining combatants (assuming at least one is conscious), hoping to evoke some surface thoughts to harvest, "Who are you? What are you doing here? Who was the man who just ran away? Where do you think he is going?"

"Another mind, apparently minding." Flitweather notes when the captain appears. When the kasatha asks that he step aside, the gnome complies. Guarded Step

He then turns his gaze at the newcomer. "What thoughts have you brought?" he mutters aloud.
Not sure if maintaining concentration requires an action or not.

"Let us find out who these beings are and what part they play in this dream." Flitweather says as he assumes the appearance of the tiefling. He slowly moves into the room and casts detect thoughts.

Flitweather detects the surface thoughts of intelligent creatures around him, 60 ft. cone covering foes. The amount of information revealed depends on how long he studies a particular area or target. First round, he detects the presence or absence of thoughts from conscious creatures. W ill save (DC 14) negates.

Flitweather moves forward to his other companions outside of the room.

He then suggests to Driskinet and Svadik, "What if instead of us, we were each a 'nuisance'? Want to see what would happen then?"
Flitweather readies an action to case parallel form on himself and the closest three willing allies within 30 feet of him, prior to the bad guys taking their move, to make himself and fellow allies appear as the tiefling.

Effect of Parallel Form:
You carefully pluck details from alternate-reality versions of a target to weave a parallel form upon them, making them appear and seem to act entirely differently. You can affect the target as if they were under a disguise self spell, with you deciding the details when you cast this spell. Unlike disguise self, however, parallel form provides the mannerisms of the chosen form (though it does not confer additional abilities), and the perceived tactile and audible properties of the target’s equipment can seem different, although all of the target’s equipment must still be perceived as the same type. (For example, a melee weapon can be perceived as only another type of melee weapon.) If you cast this spell to cause the target to appear to be a specific individual, the target gains a +4 circumstance bonus to any Bluff checks related to claiming to be that individual. A creature that interacts with a target affected by this spell and succeeds at a Will saving throw recognizes the parallel form as an illusion.

I don't see the tiefling on the map. However, if Flitweather can see him and thinks that creating difficult terrain in the area of the tiefling's escape route will slow him down (i.e., he is not flying, climbing the walls, etc.), then he will do so with his Infinite Worlds ability.

"Gnome sleep?" Flitweather says in response. He is about to speak further, but his sleepy eyes suddenly spring open wide when he spies the contents of the vesk's hand.

Intrigued, Flitweather eagerly begins shifting the panels on the cube watching it briefly take on a new pattern or form as he does so, before onto another. In the Dreamsmith's hands the process is less like a tactile manipulation and more like the momentary passing of a vision.
