Background:

Spoiler:
Feanor was once a scion of House Nardrim, an ancient Elvish noble family whose lineage stretches back into the dim mists of history. His family is archly conservative, even for elves, and they sent young Faenor to the most prestigious arcane schools. Unfortunately Faenor developed an obsession with the new technology that burgeoning in the civilizations of the world. His dream was to find a middle path between science and sorcery.

His experimentations and unorthodox studies got him expelled from the prestigious school he had been studying at, so he began to study under teachers of other races who were more sympathetic to his inquiries. His family was not amused, and demanded he desist and return to the 'correct' path. Instead, Faenor refused. His family cut off ties with him, and Faenor found himself shunned by his culture. He decided to head off into the wider world to continue his studies and learn more of the ways of science.

Although he puts up a nonchalant front, his family's repudiation of him stung. He is rather moody, and he doesn't take well to traditionalists. He tends to be a silent type, and he cultivates an air of mystery and unapproachability
