A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for 1st to 5th level characters (Tiers: 1-2 and 4-5).

Following the trail of the insidious Shadow Lodge from Trollheim to the Icebound city of Whitethrone in the witch-ruled nation of Irrisen, the PCs must locate the hidden lodge of their contact’s kidnapper. Can they get past the city’s defenses, infiltrate the Shadow Lodge headquarters and rescue the Pathfinder Society’s valuable ally, or will they—like so many before them—find their bones ground to make Baba Yaga’s bread?

When the Decemvirate sends the PCs to the Viking city of Trollheim in the frigid northern Lands of the Linnorm Kings to deliver a package to an allied scholar there, the Pathfinders soon find themselves unwelcome visitors. Forced to navigate the rugged, isolated city and interact with the standoffish natives, can they deliver their cargo to its target, or will they find themselves exiled from the city... or worse?

Our intrepid group of adventurers set out to find out how the goblins came across fireworks. Then stop them from attacking people on the roads.

They made a deal with the goblins to set up a new leader. They also agreed to find where the bony men were coming from. Being guided by a friendly goblin named Runt they were lead to a wrecked ship. That seems to be the source of the skeletons. Those skeletons were dispatched, and the group discovered that this was a ship from the Kaijitsu fleet.

Continuing to explore they found a cave, and entered avoiding the nettles hanging across the entrance. Runt refused to enter the cave with the group, and will wait. At the moment they are standing at the back of a room with a giant spider. The Terrant brothers are currently discussing attacking the spider.

Dot in with your thoughts on attacking. You may reset any spells, skills, etc. that have a daily use limit as if you had slept for 8 hours. You are also at full HP.

A suggestion to more experienced players at PFS events. Please take a second to think how your comments about actions other players choose to make might affect them, and their decision to keep playing in PFS.

Here’s the general situation. PaizoCon was the fourth time I’ve been to a PFS event. I was playing in a scenario, and most of the other players were GMs. Their character's levels made it possible to play the higher tier. I was ineffective in combat to say the least. I tried to be helpful, but I don’t feel like I was. During the course of the scenario I felt I was able to make contributions twice. Both times my choice of actions was met with a comment about it messing something up. If I were younger or with a less self-esteem, I might have said I’m done with this PFS thing. We all know words can hurt. I'm asking you think about what you say and how you say it to newer players. You never know when you might lose one of them because of it.

Overall I had a wonderful time at PaizoCon. I met a lot of nice people, and got to play in more than a few games. I want to take a second to thank the volunteers who worked so hard to get this setup and going. A big thank you to all the players and GMs who answered my stupid questions. Especially to those players that took the time to help me understand what all those cool skills my character had in the Sunday night special did.
