Background:

Eugeni Banibani grew up around The Shackles. Raised as the only child of his mother he grew up with stories of his father. A Varisian who traveled the world. His fondest memories growing up were when he would be when he was sitting by the ocean and his mother would tell him stories of his father (Hermean) as she mended sails or nets.

Come to think of it all his best memories involve the sea. He always felt like he belonged to the oceans and seas. His mother said he swam before he walked.

Love of ocean and curiosity of father naturally led him to become a sailor.... hoping he might run into his father one day.

Stranded on island after shipwreck.. lives as hermit for a few years with only his faith Shimye-Magalla (Gozreh) to keep him company. Unknowingly become a cleric of Gozreh.

Focused more on nature/survival than religion.

Rescued by passing cargo ship that he swam to captain hired him on the spot. His ability to create fresh water and keep their food and water fresh was invaluable, as was his healing ability.

During a stop at port peril he was shanghaied.
